I really wished that he instead is just the leader of the Gryphons and he founded an order or mercenary guild called Order of the Gryphon and it’s made up of warriors from around the world who have heard of Holden Cross’ legend and have joined to learn his legendary fighting style. This could also be used to justify adding different cultural armors that are actual new armor sets added onto him from cultures we haven’t seen yet that will never get a hero since many different people would be joining his order and he gets moved to the Outlanders faction so we can get an actual Knight hero to replace his slot for example with something like a noble with a Rapier, a realistically armored Knight with a Polehammer, German Landsknecht mercenary with a Katzbalger Sword paired with the Arquebus Rifle as a club, and so on.
I love my Lawbro. I just don't like how a rabid homeless man with two hatchets has more hyper armor than Lawbringer. Don't make much sense if you ask me.
It's to balance out the drip. Vikings have to have something to look forward to, since they all (except VG) look somewhere between homeless dude and peasant that can afford a basic helmet.
The idea of LB being a skill/punish character instead of a heavy armor character would be interesting if UBi pulled it off. Sadly, they didn't, and now only his armor can save him from being bad.
I think the whole "Holden is the only gryphon" thing has been retconed and that other ones called the heralds do exist. It's still weird because Holden is the only one who's called Gryphon.

As a Lawbringer main (and someone who played him for, at least, 4 entire years), if there's something Lawbringer don't need is hyper armor. Lawbringer is a technical character with pretty difficult execution, he is not super offensive and his damage is below average, HOWEVER, defensively he is one of the best characters in the game; focussing in parries, ripostes and dodges makes Lawbringer a massive challenge against players who are too aggressive, Lawbringer is literally the "I'm gonna stop you right there - the character". Small correction, you said only the chain heavies have hyper armor, but his Make Way (zone attack after a parry) also have hyper armor. What would make Lawbringer to perform a heck of a lot better is: 1) Chain top light now also enhanced (speed nerfed to 500ms, tho); 2) Impaling Riposte now deals 10 damage and guarantees 24+1 damage (top heavy opener + Swift Justice [on wall stagger it deals only 1 damage], max 35 damage); 3) Make Way speed buffed to 700ms; 4) Revert the zone opener change, bring the "no recovery" zone back; 5) Give him a roll catcher.
I love Warden, but don't like the overuse on the bash when he could counter/riposte attack with that long sword. And I don't like most of his chest pieces they're all ugly to be honest (except for a couple of recent variants and the heroskins). Lawbringer is definitely the most knight fitting character but why does shirtless warriors in other factions get more hyper armor than this guy? And Gryphon not being an outlander is a problem, not much of his sets represents a knight at all. The closest is just his default sets and variants of those.

I’ve always liked that the majority of the older knights can be customised anyway you like, you can have a noble knight LB, an edgy dark lord LB and anything in between. BP is edged straight from the factory and so many of his armour sets and executions reflect this too.
Biggest reason I didn’t play warden over raider was the shoulder bash focus. Same with lawbro’s armor situation. Just pulls the fun out for me despite really wanting to love it.

I’d love a new Roman hero that’s a legionary with more accurate and cleaner Roman armors who maybe wields either a Spatha Sword or a Pilum paired with the Scutum Shield. Then have this new Roman hero face off against other groups of warriors who join or ally with the Vikings to introduce new heroes to the game like maybe a Germanic warrior with a Cherusker Sword, a Dacian with a Two-Handed Falx, and so on. I also just love the Roman Scutum shield because I’ve been playing a lot of Ryse: Son of Rome lately. Also they should move Gryphon to Outlanders and have Holden Cross be the founder of a mercenary guild or an order called the Order of the Gryphon that teaches wandering warriors like himself his way of fighting.

Needless to say that you inspired much of it now. Anyway, the question. I wanted to ask if I can use Richard Blackthorn for my Kensei Story. No Dialog nothing big. Just a little footnote in the back of the Story. And of cause I am planning on uploding these stories in the near future 😅 So, what do you say?
Characters like Gryphon always remind me why i like faceless characters like warmonger more because although i would love a non helmet warmonger cosmetic some day i like that i can look at her and make her my own she's not the devs warmonger she's mine I've said to my friend since he told me the lore that warmongers fight because they look up to Apollyon and her views but i said to him that mine doesn't she fights for the opposite she fights against them but she respects Apollyon's combat and style, so she toke that and but became a more friendly warmonger one that people can look up too its sad i cant make a personality since i would have her be more kind in a sense in some ways or be more respectful after killing an enemy and for your info if your interested yes I'm trying to write a more Wholesome warmonger its really hard but I'm working on making her be brutal in combat but also still wholesome out of combat and she cares for the living and future of others unlike normal warmonger who would gladly take enjoyment from watching people kill each other over them not having food like Apollyon did in the for honor story where she left food but not enough for everyone so people killed each other for it. Mine on the other hand would help people out where ever she could

I can’t stand when people say Warmonger is “better Warden” she isn’t. In duels Warden is so much better. And in team based game modes Warden is still so powerful. Fun fact, his heavies have larger hit boxes than her’s. All of them, including the UBs.
Gryphon says all the voice lines regardless of what he's fighting, he will always say his voice lines in his combos just as warden says misserum in his bash, he just speaks every language its not that he changes them depending on who he's fighting
Actually there are differences. If Gryphon is revived by a specific faction, he will speak in the language of that faction (example: Chinese if Wu Lin). This also applies when he does a guardbreak throw, a parry, or a combo finisher.
I have a warmonger that I've written to be a hero. She's still a bit edgy but that's all because of her villainess mother who raised her (also a warmonger). It's fun to try and make edgy characters less edgy but it's difficult.
Can i point out, during your warden section, you were playing warmonger, and something interesting I noticed is when you hit the valk and the warden, both of them gained corruption, even though you used the tier one corruption
I like conq and all but it’s really hard to play with him because every attack after a single heavy is unblockable and feinting during that is just janky
