Imagine banning skins with weapons on them while your whole game is based on shooting😂
Honestly
thats what im saying 😭🙏
Fr and yet I bet most of the kids already play cod or games that have that
You basically can't escape weapons being shown in your face when you start up the game, pretty weird
thats what im thinking even islands with guns they ban the skins with gun like what
What they should do is for the skins that they think are not age appropriate, let it be visible for the user, but not other players in the server
Not bad tbh or only underage people can’t see yo name
exactly like when the kins don't load in right away
please epic just make it client-sided
It could be easier said than done. They already have a system that makes your cosmetics the default if you don’t have the right skin equipped as well, so it would be easier to change the one that already exists than to write something else from scratch.
what would be the point of buying skins then? lol so dumb its like buying replica sneakers + if u want this then theres multiple mods that do this
For the pickaxes like Thor's hammer and the other variants, the warning was for the fact that you can only use it with a specific skin, not that you couldn't use it in the everyone category.
Might be phasing myself out of this game since this is the direction they’re going in and it will only get worse from here
The game is about guns, the game is about shooting people, the game is about survival and death, and now creative has officially became first priority, screw Epic and their ratings for children under FIVE YEARS OLD!
It's funny because I was using Driftwalker and the Rise of the revenant music pack before the update. Also I guess there goes any hopes of getting actual weapons as backblings
i see no problem with the update since i played a bit today ranked and some creative box fights and zone wars and got no restriction on those maps got no intention of playing E rated maps unless its a mission giving a pickaxe or sum like that
They could’ve done it differently, make the child accounts not see the skins. Why make everyone else suffer
Exactly it’s all about the kids now, and screw everyone else, it’s like that on everything now! it’s absolutely ridiculous! This world we live in now is an absolute joke.
Crybabies
Nah let’s be real, it’s always been about the parents, this doesn’t benefit a single player, including the kids.
5 seconds of hopping on a mic is gonna do more damage to a kid than Scp skibidi toilet horror tycoon ever could lol.
Exactly
@@metallicaislife1603 because it’s mostly kids begging their parents for vbux that’s pumping in the money
For Mjolnir and Reformed Mjolnir and the like, I think the warning was corresponding to the "can only be used with the __ outfit" rather than the age restriction.
I was looking for this comment. Said the same thing
Yeah it bothers me he never realized this in the video
@@CodenameKOALScause he was focused on epics dumb decision to make creative kid friendly
Yeah same with the Symbiote weapons and Ironman Zero’s
You can only use those pickaxes on skins who are worthy and maya isnt worthy
I can see this most likely getting reverted real quick with all the backlash they're getting. I rlly hope they do.
We're all hoping for that but I doubt that will happen
I want it because I just want to we’re the skins I bought in any map
I payed 15 real dollars for the driftwalker skin and cant use it wherever I want its some real bullshit
I doubt it :/
@@katzelol Damn you payed 🥶
Did Epic forget that ESRB ratings are suggestions and not legal bindings? At the end of the day it's up to the parents to provide the final judgement this is just Epic overstepping their boundaries.
Yeah, I'm seeing if I can use carnage in this banana. Tycoon, but I can't this sucks.
Still parents can complain and get them in trouble
@@worstfriend9456 honestly I'm pretty sure this is just them attempting to butter up EU lawmakers.
@@worstfriend9456complaints are only complaints. Unless Epic breaks a law it doesn't matter
Ugh the fact it still applies to doing games in a private lobby sucks so much I'm starting to hate this
What I don't get, is why they don't just make a "content filter" under some parental control section in the settings. So they can specifically allow some things and not allow others, but it would be client-side only.
Yeah, why didn't they do that?
@@toadallycoolgamingbcoz they don't think
Exactly
They should make it like cod mobile, the skins are replaced for one of the default ones for people using that setting
Because they would have to do actual work
The single player maps not allowing certain cosmetics (especially lobby tracks) is ridiculous. The only explanation I can think of is that they want the rating to apply to streams and recordings of those maps as well. In the past they let us refund any cosmetics that were altered after they were released. I wonder if Epic is gonna compensate players because when the cosmetics were purchased they did not have this restriction and have now been changed retroactively.
I hope they let refund skins or have money back
It will backfire really bad. They are going to remove this due to backlash soon
Someone's mom saw Michael Myers doing the griddy on little Timmy and now everyone is screwed 💀
Fr ☠️
Sorry that was me, my bad
😂
Except Micheal wasn’t age restricted, so the problem the mom set out to fix wasn’t even fixed
And Michael is still here lol.
My main concerns are the fact that music packs and loading screens are being censored when only you can see them
Music pack play when you get a victory
@s665677 but br is rated teen, so why does that matter
I had to change mine from the shimmerdusk one
You music track plays in a vehicle when you drive and if you get the new skin we’re can use your loading screen as the shirt design (don’t think the skin has been released yet)
Gotta love how fortnite is turning into roblox. Also, know parents or kids will care if they have a gone on there hip unless the kids like 5 or something. Plus, isn't fortnite based around guns?
So they just... banned everything with guns, sharp things, or anything that looks like a monster? Wtf were they thinking? If parents don't want their kids to play Fortnite, then they shouldn't let them play Fortnite. This game is rated T, so everything in it should be T!
EXACTLY
ban anything with guns in a gun game, imagine the racing mode becomming battle royale for people below the age of 12 💀💀
Some parents are gay and autistic that’s why
@@ramblz7868bit much and quite unnecessary use of words their that don’t make sense but ok
Some horror maps are rated 7 but I can’t use carnage in a death run
I imagine most creator made maps will just hike their rating up to Teen now to ensure people aren’t dissuaded from playing on their map, and man I hope they do, be a nice way to stick it to Epic for this dumb change.
I'm just scared since this change could affect the skins in different newer battle passes as well
Fortnite: The Daycare Update.
-Gets rid of violence (The game is based on shooting)
-Gets rid of "Scary" skins (it's just a game it's not that deep)
-Added A very annoying esrb logo to the bottom right corner
-Disabled Loading Screens, Sprays, Emotes, Emojis and music packs
-Made the game "Family Friendly" (Like your gonna play Fortnite with your family at Thanksgiving dinner)
-added voice reporting (if you're getting bullied just mute the person)

I feel like they SHOULD be sued, this isn't okay.
Big one incoming, what were they thinking tbh.
@BigDSizl20 not just feelings. Why purchase a skin if you can't even use it? What there doing is simply fraudulent.
@@BigDSizl20the reason is we paid for the skins so we should be able to use them not just let them be banned forever
@@Littahethat’s the issue, you said new EULA, a lot of people bought skins before that was released or made
How is epic locking all this stuff but they keep party hips!?
I think they should only make it so that people with parental controls on can’t see the skin, meanwhile everyone else can. I also think banning skins that have weapons on, when this game is literally based on using weapons is dumb. This change is reasonable, but the extent Epic took it to was not necessary at all.
Thats what im saying
So they break their player records, then pull a stunt like this? They must not like having a large player base.
Crazy they always find a way to ruin something while having peak playerbase right now
Tf does a Skin Have to do with the actual game? This change is only for some Creative Maps, Stop Crying
Who exactly at Epic thought this was a good idea?
I guess when Epic does something to bring people back, they immediately do something to turn them away.
Epic games try not to fuck up their game challenge: impossible
right, I feel like someone in Epic is going to die if they don't do something outrageous
I was thinking the same thing it’s like they can’t let the game be good for too long they have to mess it up somehow. Like whoever thought adding half of the snow biome and none of the jungle or season 8 map needs to be fired
@@wilbs5970 well thats not really epics falt there. in normal seasons, its rare just to get 1 location added to the game in a update let alone a biom. hell we got an entire map back just for 1 season and a biom on its 2nd weak. hell after this season ends, were getting a whole new map, machanics, weapons, skins, a whole lego collab, and much more. they got alot of work to do for this season and adding all that stuff for 1 mini season is to much time. another reason why this shouldn't have been a mini season.
I refused to sign the eula
If we pay money for these skins we should be allowed to use them anywhere in game.
💯Facts bro like seriously I don’t think a 6 year old is gonna go running to momma saying this skin gives me nightmares & scares me like really lol

Also, just because violence is popular doesn’t mean it should be shown to children. Thats like saying porn should be shown to kids bc you were jerking it at age 13 or something. You may think that you’re okay but you likely aren’t mentally.
Epic after getting all time peak players:
"Let's lose em all in an instant!"
They really gotta remove this feature and keep it for accounts with parental controls only
Them banning music packs and loading screens is so stupid. They’re going too far and unnecessary. As someone else said, I hope they get sued by so many people. They deserve to be ridiculed for all this.
Maybe they're future proofing these? What if an item comes out that can display your loading screen or play your music pack?
I'm not saying I agree with Epics decision, but that is my speculation on why they went through the trouble of banning loading screens and music packs. The whole thing still sucks.

Also the way they’re banning a bunch of this stuff (like venom), they might as well just make everything a pbs kids skin/character
And the game is based on literally shooting people to survive, pretty ironic you can't wear skins with guns on them, but you're allowed to shoot people

Ain’t our fault parents let their kids play this, imagine if gta started age restricting certain campaign levels because kids were playing, that would just punish the vast majority of players that weren’t 5, so why is Fortnite any different?
Its funny and is cracking me up how the base game is T for teen so people who are downloading this game cant even play battle royale if they are too young, and can only play the sometimes decent E for everyone creative matches. So what's the point of fortnite doing this if they are marketing their battle royale and not the creative matches. ITS THE BASE GAME, if they have a teen rating on the game itself they don't need to add this extra crap that doesn't matter since their parents decide whether they download it or not.
WOW! They had the nerve to implement this after an item shop price hike. I'm done.

they better get sued, i didnt spend that much money on skins to not be able use them
The rating, for most of these, is based on whether or not a weapon is a part of the skins design. There's nothing "wrong" with Black Widow, per se. The same goes for the Cable skin since he has rounds of ammo strapped to his chest. I have no idea why Venom is restricted, though.
The skins being "scary" seems to also be a factor in the rating system
Did u look at venom? It’s pretty easy to tell
As a kid I thought venom was fucking awesome and not scary. I feel like unless you’re 3 years old venom will be fine.
I think the way they should do it is if an account is under 10 then make it not display the skin. But if your count is over 10 then you should be able to see the skin you bought and paid for
Fortnite is turning onto roblox 5.0
The psycho bandit skin isn't banned in E rated island maps!! XD

I think they need to have a parental setting in fortnite that does this instead of forcing it upon EVERYONE on fortnite along with have that age rating on screen that you just can't get off in battle royale mode. Ok here is how you know if an item is restricted. 1. It has guns or knifes on it. 2. It has bullets or ammunition on it. (hence why that slurp skin was restricted BULLETS BAD!), and 3. It's too scary for the little kiddies! (Venom, Carnage, Driftwalker, Mincemeat, Sinister glare, and undying sorrow.) These seem to be the only restrictions i've seen. It's a classic simpsons moment that epic is pulling out it's ass, "Won't someone please think of the children!!"
how do they manage to make the game worse every update 😭
Another change I noticed is that after a match there is no button to ready up anymore. You have to go back to your lobby everytime push play and enter the que. Not sure if it is a change or a glitch.
Noticed that too.
They did it on purpose it’s mad annoying
The idea of age ratings is already stupid I mean fortnite is already rated teen and also the fact stuff like a loading screen is banned is stupid
Couldn't they just put a T rating on the entire game itself and let parents decide lol like on the login screen
If want to see how arbitrarily they decided this look at some of the seven skins.
The Order and The Visitor are banned for the bullet casings, but The Imagined and The Origin aren't.
Other skins with bullet casings that are fine include Calamity, Ultima Knight, Bandolier, Lt. John Llama, and Indiana Jones has a holstered pistol but is still fine.
Meanwhile Slurp Bandolier is vaulted smh
@@Darbyyyyyyyy yeah i noticed even skins that hold guns for the main menu and locker animations are banned... like what??
The fact that Chung Li is not banned its veeeeery crazy lol
This is so stupid cause people have already spent money buying cosmetics that are now age restricted, THE GAME IS RATED TEEN
Why let your child play a game that you complain about so much that it comes to this which ruined the game.
