I play on ALC's with 3-4% deadzone, 450-450 hip fire sensitivity and 150-150 ads sensitivity and 0 response curve. having your response curve at 0 is what I think is most important, as having no response curve along with the smallest deadzone possible (without stick drift) means that you move in game purely on raw input on your controller, so your adjustments can be much more fine and you can tell what guns you need to work on to control.
I switched to linear around s9, it’s made me so much more consistent. I was super good before, but doing the switch makes it feel like I can actually improve further than where I got stuck, and it also feels a lot better
@@aceofaces1506 I think it’s bad to use big deadzones I recommend 1 or 2 if you are just staying and go down from there it just gives you so much more control. It takes a bit to get used to but if you keep using it you will be able to master it in no time.
ALC here. I realized increasing the outer threshold value (mines at 23%) makes you reach maximum output quicker. Quicker maximum output is massive, way better than the default. Especially, when you complement it with a 7 response curve and 9% deadzone. Try it - wont regret it

Playing linear has helped me so much to improve my movement and aim. I was never really in to classic aim. I love to have that upper hand on enemies by being able to 360 spin into a headshot without having to break my wrist to do so.

Classic to me feels like it has a ramp-up delay... I usually hate aim acceleration in first-person games though personally. That's why I can't play R6 as it doesn't have an aim acceleration setting
I play on 5 response curve which i feel like it is somewhere between Classic and Linear. This gives me the opportunity to have better hipfire and good aim control, and doesn't have to play everyday to be good at it

I've always played classic and every other response curve just wasn't the same for me. I play on 2% deadzone with 240 yaw 200 pitch along with 130 ADS yaw and 85 pitch. I would argue I feel most comfortable using hipfire :)
I have been playing on max look and ads sense on alc settings for a good amount of time now, on Linear as well, and even that can just feel to clunky and weird to me sometimes. Recoil control and movement and all that is so much better on linear it's unbelievable.
ima say that if your ALC playing 3 response curve just feels right its not complete linear but mostly linear where u can make a few mistakes. Complete linear or Classic may not fit your playstyle so try ALC response curves 3-7 and see which one you like. (Linear is 0 and Classic is 10 I think correct me if im wrong)
I switched to Linear recently and have been doing SO much better. I play linear on other games and started using it first day of apex, was missing so much so switched to classic. Now I have abit more experience in the game switching back to linear feels way more comfortable and controlled. Would never go back to classic now! A good tip if you’re struggling with long range linear - lower your ads to around 90/100 and up your extra yaw and pitch. Put the boost ramp up speed to 20 and it’s feels like a mix of classic/linear while aiming, but you can keep the snappy movement linear gives you.
I just hit diamond for the first time so honestly I might use linear for the new season. But also koala you can change the tension in the sticks to because I’m pretty sure you use a elite series 2 and I think that’s a HUGE factor for the linear

I don't remember what classic feels like, when I got to level 300 I switched to linear because classic felt like I was in a box and it was right up against my arms and for me to turn my arms I have to turn my whole body. I don't know if ALC uses linear but I use that now, I might turn it off and see how it feels tho

Never tried linear with a low sens, current playing 4-4 classic, but anytime i’ve played linear i’ve opted for high sens alc so maybe that’s where i’m going wrong, but 4-4 works for me but maybe the swap to linear will help me improve my shot to get to masters next split, even though we all know masters isn’t how shooting straight
This what i was doing wong. Id play 6-4 or 7-4 classic, switch to linear and it would be way too hard to control, 4-3 linear is easy to control, but you can also fine tune.
It seems you swapped your response curve without knowing why exactly you were doing so or what it offered so you didn't know what other settings compliment it for your own style and preference. I can tell by the fact that you thought you were doing something wrong even though there's no wrong in sense settings. Experiment and find what works for you, if feel like you're being limited in a certain area, thats when you change the setting but only if you know what they do. I play ALC 500 sens and 0 response curve because that works for me

Nah linear feels like aimbot atleast for me classic is for new players that aren't accurate as much however if you master linear you will be a way better player.

Just started playing apex coming from cod/WZ. I’m using the second one after classic. I found classic a bit spongey. I couldn’t play linear in a high sense. Maybe with some tweaking I could make it work.
I've been playing on linear since season 6 but it still feels like my aim would be better with most guns on classic but I'm never going to switch back because linear pk and wingman just hit different
I'm trying these settings out was on a 4-4 on classic but the movement I need to do on the right stick is insane for finer aim. Trying our 4-2 linear now getting used to the recoil control of ARs and SMGs with it. Will bump it up to 4-3 when I'm comfortable. I stay away from ALCs too. Cheers for the video good stuff.
Honestly I’m on ps4 with linear running 8-7 sens , I was good on original but it feels kinda laggy if that makes sense ? , but on linear it’s so much more fast and consistent no matter what direction you move the joy sticks imo it takes skill to use

I have heavy thumbs. I always have to have my controller settings set to tactical for fps games, or I accidentally melee while trying to aim. It happens if you push to hard on the control stick. On toggle crouch luckily it sometimes helps me avoid bullets. My aim has gotten better in the last couple seasons though. Now I mostly try to work on movement and positioning in game. Wall jumps are very hard to hit consistently on PlayStation controller for some reason. Tldr; Linear would kill me because heavy thumbs.
All the sensitivity settings are personal preference. None is better. I don't think he does a very good job personally outlining what makes each good and why a player would want to choose either though

If you're keeping the same sensitivity for both obviously you feel the difference hard and not like like, with classic you have to increase your sensitivity and on linear you have to decrease it and you'll find out that you can learn both and get use to them much much faster

I my settings are 5,5 classics this vids makes me want to switch to linear but I can still the every movement thing there is to do apart from super glide and zip things so not everything
Never tried linear with a low sens, current playing 4-4 classic, but anytime i’ve played linear i’ve opted for high sens alc so maybe that’s where i’m going wrong, but 4-4 works for me but maybe the swap to linear will help me improve my shot to get to masters next split, even though we all know masters isn’t how shooting straight

This what i was doing wong. Id play 6-4 or 7-4 classic, switch to linear and it would be way too hard to control, 4-3 linear is easy to control, but you can also fine tune.
It seems you swapped your response curve without knowing why exactly you were doing so or what it offered so you didn't know what other settings compliment it for your own style and preference. I can tell by the fact that you thought you were doing something wrong even though there's no wrong in sense settings. Experiment and find what works for you, if feel like you're being limited in a certain area, thats when you change the setting but only if you know what they do. I play ALC 500 sens and 0 response curve because that works for me

Dont get me wrong classic is still o g and is what I used to use and hit dia ez however I feel like linier is worse for aim but much better for movement. Its personall opinions here but if you are a god liner can also be better in every way.
Nah linear feels like aimbot atleast for me classic is for new players that aren't accurate as much however if you master linear you will be a way better player.
@floating koala i used to Play 320 alc linear but i raged once and i switched to 4 4 classic and it aimed for me xD dropped 15 kills first game, but linear feels smooooth
I also use to play on 4, 3 linear and I was doing great on that (like 2 kd), then I swapped to 4, 3 Classic, with dead zones on “none” and my kd went up to about 2.5
I switched to linear a little less than a year ago. it's definitely made me a better player but I still have aim issues that need correcting. but I've also been inverted my whole life and it messes with my diagonal aim🤦😂 suppose not many people can help out an inverted player ha

Just started playing apex coming from cod/WZ. I’m using the second one after classic. I found classic a bit spongey. I couldn’t play linear in a high sense. Maybe with some tweaking I could make it work.

I've been playing on linear since season 6 but it still feels like my aim would be better with most guns on classic but I'm never going to switch back because linear pk and wingman just hit different
I'm trying these settings out was on a 4-4 on classic but the movement I need to do on the right stick is insane for finer aim. Trying our 4-2 linear now getting used to the recoil control of ARs and SMGs with it. Will bump it up to 4-3 when I'm comfortable. I stay away from ALCs too. Cheers for the video good stuff.

Honestly I’m on ps4 with linear running 8-7 sens , I was good on original but it feels kinda laggy if that makes sense ? , but on linear it’s so much more fast and consistent no matter what direction you move the joy sticks imo it takes skill to use

@@nooptiui yea bro I get that a lot , but back in the day on call of duty I use to put the sensitivity as high as it could go , and me personally if there’s someone shooting from behind I like to be able to turn around fast and shoot back or atleast see where they are , rn I changed from 8-7 to 8-8 and it’s good , linear and small deadzone , takes getting used to but once your used to it it’ll feel like 3-3 , works good with small movements
Linear alc for me it feels a lot better (all though it still feels like shit because I’m on old gen console so I average 50 FPS)

I use ALC but I moved from "steady aim" aka non alc to small deadzone alc kind of like linear.
I wish there was a happy medium I find classic too slow but linear up close if someone jumps it’s like there out of your screen wing man and peacekeeper shots are super hard like right up close so idk what the fix is
I completely agree with the wingman linear. I once got a 2.5k in ranked with just a wingman on linear it’s just so smooth and give precise aim.
Advanced look controls my guy, get rid of ramp up time and delay. Soo much cleaner
I have heavy thumbs. I always have to have my controller settings set to tactical for fps games, or I accidentally melee while trying to aim. It happens if you push to hard on the control stick. On toggle crouch luckily it sometimes helps me avoid bullets. My aim has gotten better in the last couple seasons though. Now I mostly try to work on movement and positioning in game. Wall jumps are very hard to hit consistently on PlayStation controller for some reason.
Tldr; Linear would kill me because heavy thumbs.

All the sensitivity settings are personal preference. None is better. I don't think he does a very good job personally outlining what makes each good and why a player would want to choose either though
Switched to linear a year ago because of your videos and love the feeling. But honestly i think im too mediocre at the game and dont play enough to really benefit from this transition. But classic feels way to numb and slow now so thanks for ruining my game koala! :)

so for me when i played on linear my mid to long range shot was really good but i would lose my close range fights most of the times unless i was just playing well that day

for me, its alc max sens and just a tiny bit of extra yaw/pitch, response curve is at 4
I've been playing the game every day since launch... Still prefer classic (The ALC equivalent) because linear makes me play like I'm coked up and hyperactive 😂
If you're keeping the same sensitivity for both obviously you feel the difference hard and not like like, with classic you have to increase your sensitivity and on linear you have to decrease it and you'll find out that you can learn both and get use to them much much faster

You guys should try ALCs 0 response curve with 420 and then ADS at 130

Bro I played using ALC with a yaw at 500 and pitch around 290ish and had nice ads beams but hip fire was trash and after seeing your vid I tried 4 3 linear and I now swear by it and over time the long distance beam became easy....bless bro
