Hard to discover how some presets sounds if don't play them correctly. I.e. guitar was played like el. piano so you can't hear how it really sounds. But it seems that sounds like guitar and oboe are like some old iconic synths not real guitar or oboe
I love diva, just wish she wasn't so CPU hungry. Tried everything I could think of to remedy the issue. 6 core processor, 32 gigs of RAM should be enough, but no
Do you have the latest version? There was a free performance update from u-he only last month. Also you could try clicking the Multicore button at the top and/or reducing the 'Accuracy' setting on the Main menu.
You need the new M1 Apple machine. It makes mince meat out of Diva even at an insane 32 buffer setting (I'm getting 31 instances at 32 buffer on the M1. Can't even manage 5 on my 2020 iMac).
@@TechM3X I think you can safely jump onboard now. I have 128gb of RAM in my 2020 imac and there is no day that goes by that I don't wish that I could trade that for more CPU. If you're like me, electronic music composer/producer, you'll get by just fine with 16gb of ram. Single core performance is king for us. Diva doesn't even include multi-core Intel equivalent feature on the M1 and it still thumps my iMac in terms of performance. The SSD is pretty fast and if you need to swap you'll mostly not be bothered by it. Get the 2TB Mini and add Apple care then proceed to beat the hell out of it for the duration of the warranty. It won't be a bottleneck for you at all. CPU is where it's at if you need things like Diva. The movie guys who need to load hundreds of gigabytes of samples might run into a memory bottleneck but the rest of us are very unlikely to. As soon as Pro Tools and Kontakt go native M1 I'm dumping the iMac and will consolidate everything on my M1 Mini.
@@craigturb thanks for the info regarding the update. I haven't updated, but I have tried the other Solutions you mentioned as far as the multi-core button and the accuracy settings. Hopefully the update will solve my issue.
Hey there! Great question. Yes, you can certainly link a MIDI controller up with this software to have hardware control. Diva specifically supports the NKS technology by Native Instruments, so I would stick with Native Instruments controllers for optimum control. You can find some further info regarding that here: u-he.com/products/diva/ I hope this helps! Nick Pasquino, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3230, nick_pasquino@sweetwater.com
Love your expression when you heard the sound of hell lol 6:57 Too bad this plugin is pretty much only good for making sounds. You can't really push it with full-blown productions because it eats up a ton of CPU. Create, render, delete, repeat.
I don't find that to be true at all. Create your take and freeze it and then mute the midi track. You then are just left with the wave file for that track without any processing being necessary. Then go to your next track and do the same. I have written entire compositions with this thing and it is monstrous! Freezing your takes is the secret here. I admit tho that I am blessed with a good computer. It might be more of a challenge without that. Give that a try tho and see if it works a bit better for you.
"undeniably analog" would not make sense applied to an actual analog synth, since nobody would be questioning that it's analog. The title is just talking about the accuracy of the emulation. The language used helps give an idea of the sound you should expect from the synth.
:45 "Get that 90's rave sound!" (says the guy who was barely alive in the 90's and clearly has never been to a rave or heard trance music.) That sounds NOTHING like 90's rave music, trust me. Also, your "gameboy" sound - not at all. Whew... this drove me crazy.
I’m still interested in buying this synth, but if I were to go by your demo, I would have no interest in it because you’re using the cheesiest-sounding presets known to man.

A good feature would be to cut the price to £50
I’ve got this.... one of the best synth vsts I’ve ever used .... it sounds so good 🔥
Check out the Model 72 by Softtube too... Both of these synths sound fantastic.
Great demo and this guy is a great keyboardist
Best soft synth I have ever used. That's all I need to say. Very nice demo by the way.
Been using it as my goto analogue tool for years now
Bought it last month. It will use all the cpu you can throw at it.
The CPU killer holds the throne
love jacob, such a great keyboardist
that's the best synth I ever used, period
If I could have only one soft synth (and I have many), the u-he Diva would be it.
This synth has been around for many years: How come that Sweetwater is only reviewing it in 2021?
Why not? Maybe the guy was messing around with synths and wanted to show some Diva love
It's crazy in 2021 this synth is still better than most new stuff on the market.

How do I use a plug-in like this while I’m live looping with my boss rc 505?
Midi Sync or USB Sync with your DAW?

@@Screaming-Trees Thanks for this. I was holding off on getting the M1 because of limited RAM. Should I wait for the M2 or jump on board now?

Can any one of those virtual dials and sliders be assigned to knobs on a controller?

Beautiful 😍😘
Are there Fairies at the bottom of Diva?
Yes..., yes there are.
I heard it's pretty good with the CPU, too......
Confused about buying diva or Arturia V collection 9!!! Suggestions are welcome :)
I have both. Diva all the way!

Says that something is undeniably a technical specification, when it’s literally not
@@spectre.garden or maybe it doesn’t need to be fixed, and the inherent nature of analog can be exploited. Also I was referencing the thumbnail
That's clearly a reference to the tone being "analog" in nature. It's obviously not an analog piece of equipment...
@@nate_creates you liked your own comment seconds after posting it, and the thumbnail does not imply that it’s not analog in any way.
