Darth Vader from Star Wars. His armor suit is so iconic. My favorite one is the Revenge Of The Sith version. That version is so underrated. And I love the way his helmet and mask looks like in that film.
I agree, the custodian style uniforms. Course in the commentary for Ghostbusters. Harold Ramis joked that there was no way a cellist would have a designer dress in their closet on their salary. (The Zuul Dress)
Same. Carol Burnett’s parody version should’ve at least gotten a mention. It’s funny how a parody of Scarlett’s curtain dress is equally as iconic as the original dress.
Mattel made a Barbie of Carol in the window dress. Bob Mackie made the master copy of the sized down dress to make sure the proportions were correct. The face is the best one Mattel has ever made- it looks exactly like Carol Burnett. I saw the doll when it are out and “had to have it”. It’s a treasured possession- the only Barbie I ever bought.
@@jaclynsanture6643I did the same. I was in either second or third grade. And I even had a stuffed dog, though it was a cocker spaniel cause I couldn't find one that looked like Toto
How can you talk about Scarlett O’Hara’s curtain dress and not bring up Carol Burnett’s parody version from Went with the Wind? Her parody of the dress is equally as iconic as the original dress and deserves at least a mention.
How Darth Vader isn’t on this list is shocking. The suit is so iconic that it gives you chills whenever you hear his raspy breathing. He’s the most powerful villain ever put on screen.
I have always love Darth Vader's Armor Suit. And with a Sci-Fi Armor that iconic, intimidating and badass, It deserves to be on this list. My favorite one is from Revenge Of The Sith. I really like the way the Armor and Helmet looks in that film.
I think the video started with a caveat that superheroes, which I understood to include evil characters like Darth Vader, would be addressed in another video listing.
The green dress from GWTW was stunning & BEYOND iconic🎉 The blue/white gingham dress in the "Wizard of Oz." We wore long blue/white gingham dresses in J.H. Vocal Music Concerts....😂
There were also: Lana Turner’s turban, blouse and shorts- The Postman Always Rings Twice Raquel Welch’s leather bikini- 1,000,000 Years B.C. Ursula Andress’ white bikini- Dr. No Gene Wilder’s suit , hat and cane- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Grace Kelly’s black top and white skirt- Rear Window Tippi Hedren’s tailored suit- The Birds Doris Day’s designer outfits- Pillow Talk and Lover Come Back Dorothy Lamour’s sarong- The Hurricane Dan Ackroyd’s and John Belushi’s black and white suits and hats and dark glasses- The Blues Brothers John Travolta’s 3-piece vested suit- Saturday Night Fever Barbra Streisand’s very short mini dress that showed her underwear and the black pajamas with suggestive details- The Owl and The Pussycat Will Smith’s and Tommy Lee Jones’ suits- Men In Black Jennifer Beals’ cut-up sweatshirt- Flashdance Diane Keaton’s baggy menswear outfit- Annie Hall
Yes Audrey Hepburn’s LBD is ubiquitous, classic and timeless. (Though I thought she was most fashionable in Sabrina.). Interesting that there was no “through line” reference to the Princess Diana revenge dress.
For me, best and unforgettable costumes are: *Hogwarts students uniform* *the Dorothy dress* and off course the great Holly Golightly Givenchy *little black dress* 💎
I loved Dan Steven's outfit in the scene of "Tale as old as time" on the 2017's Beauty and the beast remake. Happy friday afternoon Ms Mojo, take care and God bless you , greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Oh i agree! Disney's live action remake of Beauty and the Beast had some wonderful costumes throughout the whole movie. Just like Moulin Rouge (2001) has some wonderful costumes throughout that movie too. Nicole Kidman's character has the most beautiful costumes that she wears in that movie.
When i was a kid.....I had not seen Gone with the Wind (still haven't, tbh...except during high school, but i fell asleep...lol), so when I saw Carol Burnett do her sketch parodying the movie, I had no idea that the drapery costume was from the movie. I thought Carol Burnett made it up.
I kept waiting for Eliza Doolittle's derby dress and then saw it take a back seat to Breakfast at Tiffany's. I guess you didn't want to pick the same actor twice, but I would have selected My Fair Lady over Titanic. And for a third Hepburn dress, there's her outfit in Sabrina. Audry Hepburn exudes class.
This is a fab video - I'd add costumes in Dune to this mix! but in my opinion it's missing one detail - the names of the costume designers in each of the film. You mention Givenchy and a couple more - please give them all credit ? :)
Yes!!!! I would add the Flashdance leotard and legwarmers combo, Wednesday Addams' black dress with white collar and braids, and Tim Curry's bustier ensemble in Rocky Horror.
Next to The Bride's yellow jumpsuit, another outfit from "Kill Bill" that I find iconic would be Gogo Yubari's school uniform, especially with the white knee socks and Nike sneakers that are worn as part of her ensemble.
The number 20th,17th, 10th and 6th are my favourites. Jack Sparrow and Indiana Jones are the best and the Hogwarts students are relatables. And Marty McFly is one of my favourite young characters.
I'll never forget how well-dressed Kim Basinger was dressed by Linda Henrikson in Batman with Michael Keaton, directed by Tm Burton (1989). Otherwise, spot-on, good job!
Courtiers are draperies that are hung in the interior openings of a house such as an archway and not in windows. These are double sided so they look finished from every angle. One archway could have easily used 20 to 24 yards of fabric. Scarlett's dress took around 10 to 12 yards.
Definitely feel like Darth Vader's look should've been in there instead of the gold bikini; the late great Carrie Fisher was pretty vocal about how much she HATED that thing, and Vader's look is ICONIC..
I like padme yellow dress i dont wear the purple flower led headband or princess leia buns i do have two yellow dresses with floweed like padme yellowndress
Marilyn Monroe’s pink dress diamonds are a girls best friend, and the white subway one, Mr Beans suit, Scarlett O’Haras red dress Rhett made her wear to the party post the Ashley rumours,
Another Gen Z list. How do you have Jack Sparrow, Legally Blonde, and Clueless on your list and not Peter O'Toole's thoab and keffiyeh from Lawrence of Arabia, the fur hats from Dr. Zhivago, Elizabeth Taylor's slip from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (or the white dress from A Place in the Sun), Clint Eastwood's poncho in High Plains Drifter, Raquel Welch's 1 million years BC bikini, Marlon Brando's outfit from The Wild One, James Dean's red windbreaker from Rebel Without a Cause, Jane Fonda's plastic corset from Barbarella, Diane Keaton's men's suit from Annie Hall, Marlene Dietrich's tuxedo in Morocco, Rita Hayworth's strapless dress in Gilda, Tony Manero's white suit in Saturday Night Fever, Jennifer Beal's sweatshirt in Flashdance, Olivia Newton John's legwarmers and hair clips in Xanadu, Kim Novak's gray suit in Vertigo, and above all, Rick's dinner jacket in Casablanca and DARTH VADER?? A lot of these started major fashion fads too. Jack Sparrow, lol.

the willy wonka outfit from willy wonka and the chocolate factory
the stripped suit from beetlejuice
Darth Vader from Star Wars.
His armor suit is so iconic.
My favorite one is the Revenge Of The Sith version.
That version is so underrated.
And I love the way his helmet and mask looks like in that film.
At least put Rambo and The Terminators Outfit
Can't say I've recreated them directly but I've had Dall-E and Stable Diffusion depict some of them.
I would say the Ghostbusters outfits are iconic
I agree, the custodian style uniforms. Course in the commentary for Ghostbusters. Harold Ramis joked that there was no way a cellist would have a designer dress in their closet on their salary. (The Zuul Dress)
Agree
More of the packs than the actual suits
Dracula Untold Remake
features Kim Wu
(Portrayed Julia Wu)
I can't look at Scarlett O'Hara's green curtain dress without thinking of Carl Burnett's hilarious take off, complete with curtain rod!
Same. Carol Burnett’s parody version should’ve at least gotten a mention. It’s funny how a parody of Scarlett’s curtain dress is equally as iconic as the original dress.
"I saw it in the window and just couldn't resist!"
Dorothy's dress and ruby slippers are the most iconic to me
I had a dress as Dorothy and the shoes in the 2nd grade, it was book day
I dressed as has when I was little. I even had a stuffed animal dog. Although my dog was Scooby Doo because I couldn’t find a real Toto.
@@jaclynsanture6643I did the same. I was in either second or third grade. And I even had a stuffed dog, though it was a cocker spaniel cause I couldn't find one that looked like Toto

lol I actually rewatched the whole thing kkk
Yes totally
I loved that Carol Burnett parody!
@@cw8543 Me too.
That was the BEST!!!
How Darth Vader isn’t on this list is shocking. The suit is so iconic that it gives you chills whenever you hear his raspy breathing. He’s the most powerful villain ever put on screen.
(Spit take) WHAT?!?
I have always love Darth Vader's Armor Suit.
And with a Sci-Fi Armor that iconic, intimidating and badass,
It deserves to be on this list.
My favorite one is from Revenge Of The Sith.
I really like the way the Armor and Helmet looks in that film.
I think the video started with a caveat that superheroes, which I understood to include evil characters like Darth Vader, would be addressed in another video listing.
And outfits with masks were also not going to be on this particular list too I believe.@@alandombrow584
Gilda's "Blame it on Mame" dress is one of my favorites
For me, Mary Poppins’ white and red dress is THE most iconic
Eliza Dolitttle’s Ascot opening race dress is the most iconic look in film history. Hands down.
I don't know why that's not in this list at all.
Cher and Elle had the most iconic, stylish outfits ever. I always wished that I could raid their wardrobes. 😍👗🛍️
Elle just looks like Barbie 😂
I knew Cher’s outfit from the opening of Clueless would be on this list 😁
Darth Vader's Armor Suit from Star Wars.
Such a badass, intimidating and iconic outfit.
My favorite version is from Revenge Of The Sith.
I absolutely love the picks! Holly and Scarlett are my favorite ones. I'd like a part 2!
My favorite is Keira Knightley's green dress from Atonement.
I love Audrey Hepburn and I’m so glad to see one of her costumes at the top of the list!
I'd suggest Annie Hall's outfit, and My Fair Lady's black-and-white dress at the Ascot races.
The green dress from GWTW was stunning & BEYOND iconic🎉 The blue/white gingham dress in the "Wizard of Oz." We wore long blue/white gingham dresses in J.H. Vocal Music Concerts....😂
I’m shocked Captain Jack Sparrow was no. 20. It should be at least in the top 5. Surely higher than the long black coats from the Matrix!
But which of the two costumes are referenced and parodied to death?
They are all so very famous styles .So many of us would love any of the costumes to wear.
I think the Keira Knightley character’s green dress from Atonement should be here
Buddy the elf’s outfit deserves an honorable mention
I always preferred Sandy as the preppy girl to the electric greaser. She seemed more clean cut, and put together, plus she was way too good for Danny.
Same!
That outfit was also wrong for the 1950s. It was 80s all the way, with a rotten message too.
These costumes are absolutely one of the greatest throughout the course of history. They're surely one of a kind.
I wish Moulin Rouge (2001) had made it onto the list. Nicole Kidman's character had some wonderful costumes that she wore throughout the movie.
To me, Leias white onepiece along with The hairbuns will allways be most iconic.
Just today I started reading Jane Austen’s Emma for the second time. Having Clueless on this list was a nice surprise!
I think Jennifer Gardners dress in the thriller scene from 13 going on 30 is iconic too! Barbie meets Britney😉🤍
There were also:
Lana Turner’s turban, blouse and shorts- The Postman Always Rings Twice
Raquel Welch’s leather bikini- 1,000,000 Years B.C.
Ursula Andress’ white bikini- Dr. No
Gene Wilder’s suit , hat and cane- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Grace Kelly’s black top and white skirt- Rear Window
Tippi Hedren’s tailored suit- The Birds
Doris Day’s designer outfits- Pillow Talk and Lover Come Back
Dorothy Lamour’s sarong- The Hurricane
Dan Ackroyd’s and John Belushi’s black and white suits and hats and dark glasses- The Blues Brothers
John Travolta’s 3-piece vested suit- Saturday Night Fever
Barbra Streisand’s very short mini dress that showed her underwear and the black pajamas with suggestive details- The Owl and The Pussycat
Will Smith’s and Tommy Lee Jones’ suits- Men In Black
Jennifer Beals’ cut-up sweatshirt- Flashdance
Diane Keaton’s baggy menswear outfit- Annie Hall
Excellent list. Bette Davis in All About Eve.. Clothes in Hitchcock's films are always interesting: the grey suit in Vertigo, Grace Kelly's dresses. ,
👏👏👏
Keira Knightly Green dress in Atonement absolutely stunning ✨
Yes Audrey Hepburn’s LBD is ubiquitous, classic and timeless. (Though I thought she was most fashionable in Sabrina.). Interesting that there was no “through line” reference to the Princess Diana revenge dress.
The green dress in "Atonement"
I agree with whomever said Ghostbusters and I'd liked to add The Blues Brothers.
I think Scarlett should have been on the list three times- her white & green bbq dress, her curtain dress and the "scarlett" dress.
For me, best and unforgettable costumes are:
*Hogwarts students uniform*
*the Dorothy dress*
and off course the great Holly Golightly Givenchy *little black dress* 💎
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Carol Burnett’s spoof of Scarlet O’Hara’s green curtains dress.
Edward Scissorhands.
Heath Leadgers The Joker in Batman - The Dark Knight
I loved Dan Steven's outfit in the scene of "Tale as old as time" on the 2017's Beauty and the beast remake. Happy friday afternoon Ms Mojo, take care and God bless you , greetings from Colombia to you as well.

I think the Jedi robes are also iconic.
I think that Irene's costumes for Hello Dolly worn on all the women on floats were great.
Scarlett’s drape dress is at the top of my list ❤
Tied for me with her red party dress
I’ve made several on this list but the one I get the most love for is my boarding suit complete with hat and umbrella.
Me over here flipping a table because the gorgeous Edith Head black & white gown from My Fair Lady wasn't mentioned.
Vivian's red dress in Pretty Woman.
Is like Scarlett's red dress in Gone With the Wind. Both should have been on this list.
Was wondering if the pink prom dress Andie made in Pretty In Pink was going to be mentioned, but can also see why not... D'oh!

Barbie should be an Academy Award Winner for Costume Design
agreed
Indiana Jones🥰🤠
I knew who Dorothy was and her iconic white and blue checkered dress and red Ruby slippers were before I ever saw the movie and knew the storyline
No love for Tony Manero and his white suit from Saturday Night Fever.
Yes!!!! I would add the Flashdance leotard and legwarmers combo, Wednesday Addams' black dress with white collar and braids, and Tim Curry's bustier ensemble in Rocky Horror.

❤❤❤❤❤ beautiful costumes
Elizabeth Taylor - as Cleopatra the Gold Outfit
The little black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s is gorgeous, along with the pink dress in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. 🩷🖤
I Adore the little black dress!
Bela Lugosi was even buried in his cape
You mean LaGOSHee? 😂
Scarlett’s curtain dress should be way higher on the list, like, at number 5 or 4.
I was waiting for Jim Carey to be #1 as The Mask. Also Scooby-Doo cast & Annie
James Bond’s Dinner jacket?
what about the dude's bathrobe in the big lebowski? that's pretty iconic 😂
Crocodile dundee would have been nice on that list
I the Droogs’ costumes in A Clockwork Orange are quite different then the costumes that are described in the book version.
I'll never forget how well-dressed Kim Basinger was dressed by Linda Henrikson in Batman with Michael Keaton, directed by Tm Burton (1989). Otherwise, spot-on, good job!
Also shown the great Butterfly McQueen ❤ ( gone with the wind)
Courtiers are draperies that are hung in the interior openings of a house such as an archway and not in windows. These are double sided so they look finished from every angle.
One archway could have easily used 20 to 24 yards of fabric. Scarlett's dress took around 10 to 12 yards.
The term you are referring to is "Portieres". Courtiers are people who attend royal courts as companions or advisors.
Definitely feel like Darth Vader's look should've been in there instead of the gold bikini; the late great Carrie Fisher was pretty vocal about how much she HATED that thing, and Vader's look is ICONIC..
You should make a video like this. Of superhero suits.
Missed Ursula Anders bikini in Dr. No
The top costume is the one not designed by a costume designer and worn by the actress who began the disrespect of our entire craft. Fantastic.
I was afraid you would omit the curtain dress from GWTW but happily, you didn’t!!!
Deborah Kerr’s lavender dress in King and I and Olivia Hussey’s red dress in Romeo and Juliet
John Travolta's white suit in Saturday Night Fever
No curtain play clothes from Sound of Music!? This list can have more than one window covering dress wear you know!
Where are Darth Vader and Gandalf? Their costumes are probably the most iconic costumes in sci-fi/fantasy cinema.
Freddy Krueger's and Darth Vader's are my favorites.
Love Matrix costumes
Kayla Marie (Madison Beer) in This Means War (2012) she use Lollipop 🍭
I agree somewhat, but I think the Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe dresses are equally number one, no contest.
Barbie Outfits is masterpiece
mine is Barbie 😍 pink color.
You should've put Ghostbusters on there.
Excuse me… THE LITTLE GUCCI DRESS… 1997 SPICE WORLD.
Or at least the graffiti print one.
The red dress from Pretty Woman. The Marine’s Dress whites from Officer and a Gentleman.
Jamie Foxx in Django
You should have made 2 top 20 lists, one for female characters one for male characters 😅
I like padme yellow dress i dont wear the purple flower led headband or princess leia buns i do have two yellow dresses with floweed like padme yellowndress
One interesting fact is that Olivia Newton John had to be sewn into the leather pants in Grease
I never thought about it, but Elle Woods was actually kinda humble.
Clint Eastwood from the " Dollar Trilogy " should be in the top 10 at least.
My husband weas a dark blue puffer vest
