BSNL started this FTTH(Fibre To The Home)service in my village in 2018 itself... Cost:2000, No installation charge... Plans are from 20Mbps to 100Mbps along with unlimited calls telephone... Iam using 40Mbps plan... Perfectly working...

After waiting for over a year for this jio fiber(still not available), I've opted for Bsnl Ftth connection, n believe me its just wow. In Rs777 plan I'm getting 50 mbps 500gb/month, with no disconnections n speed drops. I think this is the best possible plan available in small cities like ours.

I'm lucky to have fiber to the neighbourhood(fttn), though bsnl outsourced this ftth service to some private company but the mantality is same. N yes the biggest advantage we have over jio is the reliability of speed. We all know how jio 4g wrks.
Good plan. one thing. In many industries, reliance has earned huge amounts out of thier knowledge. But what about vodaphone, Airtel and other networks? Do they survive or they have to shut down bisiness. Please reloance shut down your fiber. Let them live.

Great video. In USA only select places have gigabit fiber. These are new development areas. Older areas still rely on copper coaxial cables which eventually connect to fiber connect points. I have copper coaxial that provides 300 mps.
I know USA still use DSL / Comcast .. but India is using fibre at Delhi chennai hyderabad bangalore .. India's biggest ISP Act fiber is leading in it so far ... but lets see how JIO responds

It is better if you show the connectivity and tv channel working. Because I am using 2 connection in my home, 1 is BSNL. FFTH and another broad connection from Asianet communication. Both having a speed of nearly 50 MBPS only and not providing any tv channel connection. If everything is available in one connection, then that would be better.

We have 60M connections here, uncapped, perfectly stable, 180ms ping to London/EU, at INR 500/month. No way in hell am I divulging my Aadhaar to an Ambani for a capped connection at thrice the price.
Actually in the UK, FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) i.e. also high speed Fibre optic connection provides speed upto 80Mbps at a reasonable rate. However, when we talk about Gigabit Ethernet, then it is actually 1 Gbps here which is FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) which is end to end fibre with no copper and the speeds are blazing fast. Somewhere, Jios Gigabit Ethernet service is misleading and is more like a FTTC speeds although I am sure, the system is capable enough to provide FTTP speeds in the future.

For those who don't know Reliance jio gigafiber is is free because in the terms and condition it is clearly mentioned that our personal data will be used for quality and resource purposes to improve their services Which means jio uses our personal data to monitoring our internet activity to give us free data This is called data mining its not a new trend and every service provider does this and it's illegal in some countries but not in India

Jio fiber is looking not good as the local providers are giving 90 Mbps full unlimited at only 600 INR. Jio have to launch it extremely aggressively to win this market

I have this for last 3 months at Panchkula (HR).... Worst ever experience related to speed and connectivity with so low connection today... What will be when it is more in installation. I don't think, it will work. Services are very bad. Noone respond. Even getting disconnecting in the middle of call. Too much depending on power as well. Not getting single in the attached room even. Wait.. In Chennai I have been using ACT fibernet. For rRs 1500 (1750 after tax), I get 1750 GB per month at 200 Mbps. I thought Jio would have better speeds..
I am using Airtel Optic Fibre 100 mbps & it works great along with free Landline. Best part is we are allowed to carry over unused data. Don't think Jio Fibre will be much of a game changer apart from its initial buzz.
I have UTL 72 Modem from BSNL... Man it's old school and very problematic. But speed and price is cheaper... But frequent disconnections due to it's pvt connection from Digital India program provided for Gram Panchayaths...

Tech support team is highly inept for jio fiber. I have 999 plan enrolled. Speed is good but if any problem crops up in device then be sure nothing will happen before 36-48 hours after you raise service request. It doesn't even matter if you contact appellate authority of jio. So keep that in mind for folks who are intending to use for WFH mode. Keep a backup.
After consuming 100 GB, 10 more Boosters of 100 G each, Total 1100 GB per month data @100 Mbps. However, I am getting only 50-55 Mbps speed through Wifi. Installed recently. Jio TV, Jio Cinema and other apps free.
450/- pm, 75 mbps(megabits per second), 125 GBs for 30 days- Sikka in Lucknow; and it has the similar thin wire technology for better speed (as shown in video).

Jio sucks very badly they are increasing their customers but are not installing enough towers. JIO NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

I am using Airtel Optic Fibre 100 mbps & it works great along with free Landline. Best part is we are allowed to carry over unused data. Don't think Jio Fibre will be much of a game changer apart from its initial buzz.

So 100 mbps(mega bits per second)= 100/8=12.5 mega bytes per second).this fomat is followed by every broadband network in India.
Tech support team is highly inept for jio fiber. I have 999 plan enrolled. Speed is good but if any problem crops up in device then be sure nothing will happen before 36-48 hours after you raise service request. It doesn't even matter if you contact appellate authority of jio. So keep that in mind for folks who are intending to use for WFH mode. Keep a backup.
