My favourite part is Jen ordering the sushi and eating the salmon roe and she is so polite and well mannered, and especially softly spoken and aware of being respectful in the restaurant. I always cringe when I see tourists gagging loudly and making a huge song and dance about foreign food, but Jen is so lovely about it and respectful ❤️
In your May 30th video you mentioned having to get up in the middle of the night to keep on your upload schedule. I know it's too late now since you're already back, but in the future, please know that we are flexible, I would rather you get a full nights sleep and have the vlogs be posted at weird times. You sanity and sleep are worth it!
Tim and Jenn. Kudos to you for exploring beyond the Disney parks. So fascinating to see other places and food that are part of every day normal life but from a different cultural perspective. Thanks for a great series of videos on Tokyo, Tokyo Disneyland, and your travels.
Such an Awesome City and Trip!! I have loved watching you all on your Journey to Tokyo! I would love to visit Tokyo one day!! Hope you all have/had a safe flight home.
I just about jumped out of my seat at the 6:13 mark. In the back left corner of the toy case is a figure of Goldar from Space Giants! A Japanese import tv show from the 1960's. Loved it when I was a kid.
The Japanese are so innovative with things like the sink toilet combos, key chain, accessories, toys, and foods. Why can’t we find these cool things in the U.S.?!
Did anyone else notice that Tim turned into Marshall from How I Met Your Mother while they were in Tokyo. He sings just about everything they do. I LOVE IT!
The claw machines aren't rigged, they're just quite different from the ones in America. A lot of the claw machines in Japan require a certain strategy and usually multiple tries to manipulate the prize item in such a way that it'll fall into the hole. The claw isn't supposed to lift it up like you see with America claw machines. Japanese ones also have a lot of different types of claw games. Such a shame you didn't manage to get the minion though, it was super adorable! :(
wkpdenie22 ...I don’t recall the app, but there are Japan claw machine games that one can play from their phone! Some apps give a few free tries too. Then it costs money. There is a camera rigged up & you can see it happen live! Then they mail out your prize.
It just cheaper to outright buy the item, and they are rigged. Especially if it is getting close to the hole and people give up, an arcade employee will come, open the machine and put it back to the original starting point, as seen in the video.
The resetting of the machine doesn't mean it's rigged. The next person is supposed to start from the beginning, and not work off of someone else's effort. That' just how it is there. That being said, they are still rigged. Although some are definitely more skill based rather than straight up just won't pick up the toy like in the US.
Hi Tim and Jenn, I always enjoy watching your videos. I’m originally from Japan but currently live in Sydney, Australia. Went to Orlando for Disney and Universal for 2weeks last month and your videos really helped us to have a fantastic time so just wanted to say THANK YOU!! I’m very happy to see you had a nice time in Tokyo Disney! It makes me go back there again too!
Nooo the Japan vlogs are over 😭 I loved reliving my trips to Japan through you guys. I hope you get to go back one day! Japan is the best ♥️ you'll have to do Osaka next and see Universal! Osaka is my favorite city in Japan.
One thing what I learnt from watching a few other japan videos is that - 1) when ordering noodles/ramen, making a slurping sound actually shows that you are enjoying the chef's food and that you would like to go back again and again. and 2), when you eat, you can say "itadakimasu" (I think I spelt that right), which means "Bon Appitite" or "Chow down!"
Thank you for all the hard work filming and taking us with you! I didn’t think I would enjoy Japanese culture cuz it weirds me out, but now I just wanna go and eat everywhere!
It was so fun seeing you out and about in Tokyo! There are so many things about it that are similar to the US, but SO different at the same time. You did really well at not getting overwhelmed. Bummer about Tim's ramen... I'm dying to try proper Japanese ramen. Jenn's sushi looked amazing.
omg guys! i love the whole adventure you got in Japan! it looks amazing! and i was like jen having tears of joy! thank you for share your journey and make it all amazing!love you guys!
The translations on the clothes is really fun (mis-translations, more accurately). I saw a lot of that when I was shopping during my trip there. I didn't vacation in Tokyo though. I spent 10 days in Okinawa and it was paradise! We went shopping at a few malls andd the clothing in many of the stores had funny wording in English that really didn't make a lot of sense, but was endearing and cute nonetheless.
I'm really enjoying seeing your trip to Japan, you look like your had a blast, even with the language difficulties and the food lottery (especially for Tim!).
I loved these vlogs (not that I don't love all of your vlogs) but you all seemed like you had the BEST time! Thanks for taking us along with you to Tokyo!
Awesome video so proud of you guys it's not easy being in a foreign country all the sights and sounds can make you crazy but,you did fantastic ! You and number 1 American tourists now you can go home and Sleep Well!
Ahhh I love the always sunny reference...KITTEN MITTENS. Also you always stand on the left side on escalators in Japan. The right side is for people who are in a rush and have to run up/down them
I absolutely love eating Sushi at first i was nervous about sushi but it is sooooo good Tim and Jenn and the claw machine prizes looked enormous my friends.
I recommend going to a kaiten sushi place, because they more than just seafood, they usually have pork, beef, and chicken. Though the chicken usually just something like kaarage and not on rice. Better yet, also hit up an Izakaya, nothing better than cold beer, kaarage, yakitori, and friends getting drunk until the late hours of the night.
You look like you had a wonderful vacation and I'm so happy for you that you got to experience it. The videos have made me even more determined to visit Tokyo now because it looks amazing!
My kids and I love watching your videos!!!! You guys have been a god send through this quarantine! I just started this video and my 4 year old says “Yay, Jen is in this one”! Lol, my kids love when you both are in the videos lol. Hope all is well with you guys and Jackson!
I haven't been to Tokyo in almost 8 years now and you guys are making me want to go back sooo bad lol and omg i want that Walt & Oswald statue at 7:33!!!!
Lotta win in this video. Reference to “dodgy vending machines” and Tim’s “kitten mittons” reference we’re awesome. “Are your cats claaawing at your furnitures (*weird voice inflection*)?”
So sad to see these Tokyo Vlogs coming to an end! TY so much for sharing this Amazing Trip with all us Disney Obsessed Peeps! Can't wait to see what Big Adventure you two have planned next! Maybe a Mickey Cruise?
Hey guys, next time hit up a conveyor belt sushi chain like genki sushi or kura sushi. Definitely the cheap stuff, nothing incredible, but it would allow you to get some fish sushi Jen while Tim could order nonfish sushi and other dishes. Also they use touch screens at the table for ordering with an englishish menu. You might enjoy that experience
There was a Kura Kaiten Sushi place right down the street from my apartment, I highly recommend. I also ate at a cheap 100yen Kappa Kaiten Sushi place downtown that my friends would often like to go to (I didn't think it was as good as Kura).
Next time you visit Japan, you should consider visiting one arcade which is modeled after the backstreets of Kowloon, Hong Kong. They have a lot of rarities including the very first Street Fighter which used pneumatic buttons to determine the pressure of Ryu and Ken's attacks based on how hard the button was bashed (this control scheme would become infamous due to the high abuse the buttons took which led to Capcom making a kit for that cabinet which uses the familiar 6 button scheme the game uses).
Not sure if anyone told you but in Tokyo on escalators and on stairs you walk down on the left and you pass on the right. It’s the same as how they drive. You drive on the left side pass on the right side
lol for yalls future reference: if you see sushi that has 'roe' in the name, that means its fish eggs! roe is just another term for them. and Jen, youre right in a sense that 'caviar is black' because the typical fancy caviar are sturgeon eggs, which are black.
I once was gifted from a sushi chef a Salmon Roe, yeah..... I won't ever eat that again. Blek! But I do love my rolls topped with the little masago eggs. And yes... fish eggs do come in multiple sizes and colors! Another sushi chef once let me taste test a large variation of different masago eggs. I can recall liking the green the most!
I'm dying for you guys to come back and visit USJ in Osaka!! Especially during Halloween! Not only is Halloween Horror nights pretty much included with your ticket price but guests also dress up in full costumes and it's SO MUCH FUN! It'll be crowded but you can get express passes to help with the lines. Also, Jaws is still open there so you can enjoy a classic Universal ride completely in Japanese lol I'm glad you guys enjoyed Japan! It's a great country and I hope your videos inspired a lot of people to make the trip over so even more individuals can experience it for themselves ❤️
As someone who had an annual pass to USJ, I totally agree. There a great youtuber Yukendoit who lives in Osaka who also has an annual pass and reports on USJ all the time. Plus Osaka/Kyoto/Nara are a sight so see, not just USJ, better atmosphere and food than Tokyo.
I knew their friend looked familiar for some reason and then it dawned on me since I'm watching the beginning of the Tracker videos he's the one who suggested the ending of the vlog. And now it's time to pay the price. Awesome.
Awesome video! My brother is a Navy sailor & loved his time in Japan. He can’t wait to go back once he’s out! And Tim, I love your ?’ing about the sushi. That’s exactly what I’d be asking. I’d lose major weight around seafood. 🤓
I'm excited about the giveaway. Your videos made me want to get on a plane and go to Tokyo omg it was so beautiful. I love how everything was cheap in Disneyland and Disney Sea vs Disneyworld in Orlando. Jen I love marie from aristocats ALSO when I saw your pass holded I want to die hahaha. Thanks for sharing. 🤗
My favourite part is Jen ordering the sushi and eating the salmon roe and she is so polite and well mannered, and especially softly spoken and aware of being respectful in the restaurant. When the coronavirus has calmed down, please come back to Japan again!
from JAPAN

Tim and Jenn in Blade Runner Tokyo sequence with rain special effects..👌
I Had a blast watching all Tokyo vids, it was a awesome time. Thanks for taking us along for the whole Trip #ThumbsUp for the video. Lots of Love.
Loved this series so much. And love just hearing your guy's comments on all the stuff - you crack me up!! Thanx so much, and BIG HUGS, Tim & Jenn!!
Tim and Jenn. Kudos to you for exploring beyond the Disney parks. So fascinating to see other places and food that are part of every day normal life but from a different cultural perspective. Thanks for a great series of videos on Tokyo, Tokyo Disneyland, and your travels.

Thank you! We enjoyed see you guys in this adventure... safe travels back home!😘😘😘😘
Super cool that Google maps helps with getting around trains! I'm also excited about upcoming giveaways! Super dooper cool series.
Did anyone else notice that Tim turned into Marshall from How I Met Your Mother while they were in Tokyo. He sings just about everything they do. I LOVE IT!
Walking through the streets in the rain reminded me of the film Blade Runner.
Thanks for sharing 😊enjoy your travels. Now hubby & I are wanting to go to Tokyo. Safe travels .
Cant wait for the giveaways! I miss living in Japan so much! So glad you guys enjoyed it!
I have loved these videos! I love seeing you both in them as you bounce off each other so well with the commentary. More please!!!!!
Thank you for taking us!! Thank you Josh!!
The sound of that rain 😍😍😍😍

Try the Toreba and Pocket Crane apps!

wkpdenie22 kinda... not really.... we have those exact same types that they played here in America.
I love these vlogs from Japan, especially you finding your way around the city of Tokyo.
It´s like the third time I´ve seen this playlist and I still lol when Tim says "Somenthing else..." at 0:56
This series of videos have been interesting and fantastic. Thanks Tim and Jenn!
Thanks for another great video. So going to miss your Japan adventure.
All the little puppies are so cute!
Hi Tim and Jenn, I always enjoy watching your videos. I’m originally from Japan but currently live in Sydney, Australia. We definitely want to go back again and Osaka will be on the list for that trip!
I Love the Shopping Videos! You are very Brave on eating in Tokyo a lot of “Mystery Meals”. Safe Trip Home!🤗
You guys should go on the Disney Cruise next !
Val yes!
Jenn doesn't like large bodies of water, so let's not press for a cruise.
Jenn don’t like cruises and large bodies of water so no they shouldn’t do a cruise!
It is definitely a difficult one because Jenn does not feel comfortable being out in the open ocean like that.
I'm in the same boat as Jenn on this
Thank you for all the videos on your trip! Love seeing japan thru your eyes..
Been to Japan a few times. Hope you guys enjoyed your trip & go again. Perhaps more days next time. They're is so much more to see (& eat)
I’ve sooo enjoyed your Japan videos! Thanks for sharing!!!

What great vlogs .....was fun to see you having the time of your life!
I can’t tell you enough how much I have enjoyed these videos. Thank you so much for sharing. 👌🏻❤️
We enjoyed making them! We want to go back!

The best fish roe / caviar comes from sturgeon fish. All fish roe is often called caviar, but, the 'real caviar' is from sturgeon.
OMGGGG ALL THE MAZINGER STUFF 😭😭😭
Love your travel vlogs! very informative and funny!
I have loved every second of your Japanise holiday thanks for taking me along!!

I loved watching your trip! You guys are awesome! I’m sad to see it end!
I absolutely love eating Sushi at first i was nervous about sushi but it is sooooo good Tim and Jenn and the claw machine prizes looked enormous my friends.
THEY ARE ENORMOUS! I recently went to Japan and won a two huge Pokemon stuffed animals. They are very nice quality but hard to pack.
They really were giant! I couldn't believe how big they were!
You look like you had a wonderful vacation and I'm so happy for you that you got to experience it. The videos have made me even more determined to visit Tokyo now because it looks amazing!
So excited for the giveaways! And to see what you guys got!
So glad you guys had a good time in Japan. I really enjoyed every video.

The Tokyo Disneyland n Tokyo City has been my absolute favorite by far 👍

That looks like so much fun.
Love this vlog, sounds like a fun voyage
That looked like so much fun! Hope to go someday!
You guys are awesome and so positive. That is all. ☺️

I'm excited about the giveaway.

Tim is funny not annoying like some vloggers can be.
