      I think trading Keenan Allen away also removed a player that was standing in Herbert’s way. What I mean is Keenan was the senior player, senior captain on offense and Herbert truly looked to him as the leader of the offense so much so he would balk at taking on that role as the unquestioned leader of the offense/team as long as Keenan Allen was in the locker room. Now Keenan is gone. Problem solved.

    People need to stop hating on QJ!! Yeah last season was messed up for QJ! A lot of people point to the GB game drop , but forget that Ekeler dropped 3!! passes and lost a fumble on the GB 2, and KA dropping not 1 but 2 TD's! QJ is at least owning up to why he was struggling! Most players would NEVER own up to not be focused and not having concentration, while being a 1st round pick! Also why is Josh Palmer not getting more respect as well? He's really stepped up!

    • @dandeitch3459
      @dandeitch3459 Месяц назад +2

      Palmer would probably be a solid #3 receiver on several teams. He was nowhere to be found in their playoff loss vs the Jags. This may be his last season with the Chargers. QJ doesn’t seem to have the play strength nor hands to be a very productive receiver but I hope he proves me wrong.

      @AlanBeall-cp8st Месяц назад

      @@dandeitch3459I have the feeling Palmer will be traded mid season for like a 5th-6th. What’s good about the offense transition to a strong run game is that takes pressure off of Herbert and the receivers. That should help take some pressure off of QJ.

    When Harbaugh was at Michigan, he had couple players and coaches talk to the media weekly from training camp to the end of season. 2 players and 2 coaches talk to media on Monday and Wed (besides Sat post game interviews). So I expect the same for Chargers. Not just OTA only. Harbaugh let his coaches talk throughout the entire season.

    My father-in-law, bless his heart, was a decorated tank commander in Europe, inWW11. He was a born leader of men. His authentic and genuine enthusiasm, his toughness, his grit, and his strength of character were infectious. On his command his troops would lean into the coming battle. After the war he worked his way up to a full-bird colonel, but he was forever happiest on the battlefield with his men. I kind of feel Harbaugh has a little bit of that character....maybe a lot.

    The biggest mismatch in NFL is generally with an elite TE. Herbert hasn't had one yet in his career. They had a chance to draft Kincaid or LaPorta last year, but chose Johnston instead

    • @CreamyPesto505
      @CreamyPesto505 Месяц назад +1

      Elite TE is also (arguably) the rarest position in the NFL. And remember, this fanbase has been dick riding WR draft prospects for 2 years. If they drafted a TE last year, it would have been the same reaction the fans had on draft night this year. No one knew Laporta was going to dominate right off the bat. Hindsight is 20/20.
