Steelmage having the average player experience is hilarious
I wont lie, coming into this event after doing 8/8 ruthless challenges felt pretty similar. You do have more choices in Krangled, as you can actually craft, but it was a very similar experience. (Stopped at 91)
did you watch quin too much or is there a reason you made a zdps build?
Is this what you meant with builds more powerfull than the normal game?
I did a completely blind SSF run with a Lightning Arrow Ranger and I rushed Delirium and ran two large elemental damage cluster jewels. I got to 85 and gave up. They need to keep discovered nodes visible when you spec out of them.
Strongboxes are gold for early league, or like in this event, corrupted strong boxes drop 6L pretty commonly and are just passive for each map, and the 2 map device mods on the atlas tree are amazing. Worth running until you have the chaos to use what you want on it.
Also expedition was definitely your issue here lmao
You can tell you don't play softcore. We do portal constantly throughout the map because we will die constantly. Or cod portal
Preach. Essences and Expedition are insane for the beginning, but man they are rippy.

Perhaps the gearing strat was not that fitting for the circumstances? I mean, thinking to clear T14 safely with a 4 Link and generally way less power then usual is a bit delusional, right? :D Not having freeze-immunity, but then not bothering crafting a flask seems also to be more about the mindset towards the current challenges then anything else^^

Now i know why steel didnt wanna play blast to the past, because he already experienced it on krangled.
Trust me, playing DD with 2k life is not much better. I'm up to having MoM + EB + Zealot's Oath + Diving Shield + Ghost Dance to have enough ES to blink away. At least it's probably the most keystones I've ever had

i dont understand why theres any xp penalty ever, "ill do this after i level up" is completely useless garbage

if u want to play casual with no xp penalty, go play d4
if there was no penalty, there would be many cheese methods to level.
lvl 100 should be an accomplishment, not just a time gate like in d4

@@tinoban Exactly. The penalty should probably be more, not less imo. Building defense is easy nowadays and it's just rewarding to know you got to a level without dying at all or very little. When you die a lot with no consequences the game just feels fake to me.
This needs to be renamed to DD league. I hard pass on the 50% xp loss.
Rigged event , 75% all res + tons of armor and you will still get 2 shoted by mobs in tier 4 maps. Artificial Difficulty that is nothing else than check the damage the player does and give all mobs that resist, and check what is the player's worse resistance, and then all mobs do that kind of damage.
This is not "krangled" , this is "bullshit".
I disagree strongly! I LOVE the higher XP penalty. It forces you to think about defences and play the game like (imo) the game is supposed to be played. I learned mechanics from bosses and whatnot that I'd never seen before cause I had to build more defensive and actually engage in bossfights. I can't be bothered with hardcore anymore but this is at least closer to that feeling.

the gist of the event: hehe we took away all of ur life nodes and all of ur attributes and 5x'd the xp penalty. oh u had hopes of using tattoos? too bad u need attribute passives for all of them (; now go ssf 12 clusters to feel like a normal functional build

idk man playing a bow rogue on launch felt worse than krangled, then i switched to melee and was never in any danger whatsoever anymore. that game was a fucking joke

The added challenge was a ton of fun. No handouts. D4 bad.
Funny enough I'm on xbox and level 93......... put some spect on mah name xD I freeballed it too didn't even know about the guys krangle tree to plan more until day 3 went toxic rain deadeye then swapped to srs and killed searing eater and hoping to get maven too
