I love my 2018 Ninja 1000! Such a smooth and amazing bike. Have done multiple 900-1000km days (13-14.5 hours) it is zippy and nimble but can just cruise and chew up the kms like they’re nothing! And it really is a head turner. Especially with the panniers and duffle bag loaded up!
Hi Cheyne! We couldn't agree more with you. The only thing we regret of the review is that we couldn't drive the bike a bit longer! Would have loved to put some more miles on it. Glad you are enjoying you motorcycle! We wish you many more safe trips and hope to see you again in our comment section! 😁
I've had mine now for about a year and a half. I can't fault the bike. I recently put on a full Achropovic exhaust system which makes the HP go from 143 up to 158. That's after the re-tune. And yeah she sounds like a completely new beast after that. I've been all over Europe from Portugal to Austria. I have the red version which I think stands out a little bit more from the green. Great choice for anyone who's wanting to tour and have a bit of fun in the twisties. Great video there..
I love the anytime torque and riding position the most on my ninja1000sx. I like how both lights stay on on low beam . I got the gel seat. Also the akropovic slip on just came in i ordered. It has good brakes, mirriors and shocks. The tires are good also. The quick shifter is fun. The dash looks nice.
Hi Clay, Sound like you're having an awesome time with your Ninja 1000SX! The torque and riding position really make it an awesome bike for long touring rides. We would love to hear your feedback on how the Akrapovic exhaust sound. It must be a great addition to this already incredible motorcycle. Do let us know what you think of it and thank for your feedback! 2WT
I love my 2019 N1K, amazing machine! Hey, anyone notice an electrical "whining/whirring" sound while riding? It's noticeable on mine and definitely not a mechanical sound, or wind noise. Maybe the traction control or abs module? Hmmm....
Hi, thank tou for your comment. Indeed an amazing machine! We did notice some slight noise, but there are a lot of bikes out there who have this. Nothing to worry about! I myselft have a Tracer 9 and I get the same noise, although vert, very subtle.
Thank you for posting this review. I also watched your vlog about Versys 1000. I am myself actually looking to change my current bike and both Versys 1000 S and Ninja 1000 SX have caught my eye. How would you compare the riding experience of these 2 bikes: - Wind protection, buffeting? - Body position, knees and hips? - Vibrations in speeds like 100 km/h on handlebars and footpegs? I have done a testride on Versys and it was very comfortable, but I do not like the looks of it. The Ninja has a really great design, but I am afraid of being far too cramped on it for long journeys, which is what I normally do. I am 183, by the way.
Hi @EnnXT1200! That is a great question! Both bike are very fun to ride and offer a great riding experience. To answer your guestions (These are still personall opinions): *Wind protection, buffeting:* _I personally have ridden the Versys only for a short time, but I do thinke the wind protection is a little better than the SX. The buffeting was pretty minimal for both bikes when I rode them, even on the highways. _*_Body position, knees and hips:_*_ _I am 180. The Versys does have an incredibly comfortable riding position in my opinion. But also the SX was great! It does sit a little bit sportier, but you don't feel cramped on it. I think it's the perfect balance between touring and sportivenesss._ *Vibrations on hight speeds:* _Of course there is some vibration in the higher speeds, but on both bikes you don't really notice it. They were really made for those long rides on the highways._ To be honest, both bikes are great. I would suggest tryning the SX as well and ride it for as long as possible to make your decision as we all have our different preferences for bikes. I hope this answers your guestions a little bit. :)
Thanks for fast response. Unfortunaely, the SX is not available here for test rides, the local dealer even does not stock it, so I can not even sit on it in the store
Hmmm that annoying. If maybe someone you know has one, you can try it like that. I would never recommend buying a bike without at least just sitting on it to get a feel for the bike. It is hard to do of course if there are none available...
Hi Rick, Since 2020 the Z1000SX has also been rebranded as the Ninja1000SX here in Europe. Although the Z-name is still widely used here in Belgium among us bikers.
Hi Coling, Indeed we didn't get into the details of the ergo-fit system as this was outside the purpose of this video. It would have made the video too long if we went into detail on all of the features on this bike. In short, the ergo-fit system allows the rider to adjust various elements on the bike to find the perfect riding position. This includes for example adjusting the seat height, handlebar height, footpeg position etc. The adjustable elements vary per motorcycle. You can find more information per bike on the official Kawasaki site. Hope this comment helps you explain this a little better. Thank you for your question!
I've owned a z1000 wich basically is the same engine as this SX. I did a lot of drag and rolling races with my buddy. He owns a fjr and the Kawasaki is noticeably quicker. It's probably due to the fact that the fjr has a shaft drive which takes up quite some power
They’re both obviously sport tourers, just towards different ends of the spectrum. Otherwise you are implying the ninja is a pure sport bike, which it is not given its ergonomics and power curve

If I may suggest also look at the new suzuki s1000gx it has the looks/ comfort and more than enough power to keep you smiling 👍
We will see what we can do 😉
We call it a Ninja 1000sx in the US. Is it still called a Z1000sx in Belgium?

Ergo fit system??? What is that 🤔?
You didn’t explain that at all 🤷🏻♂️

shesshhh only straight roads....
no shaft drive and seat is small its not realy a touring bike i own a fjr and thats a touring sport bike probably faster than this kawa

@@Nyez maybe but in every day driving and touring the fjr is superb the seat on a sx is like sportbike

Bull
Why do losers like you do that? Cool story kid you like your bike. You don't need to try to justify your purchase here. We don't care.
