Woo hoo 7/10-fun game! ☺️😉 I’ve been completely preoccupied with color lately-I wonder if this happens for every newer artist? For two years, I was completely overwhelmed (in the best way) with learning all the basics of perspective and technique & color-while beautiful -was merely a means to an end. However, suddenly the importance of warms and cools and perfect color balance, harmony vs disharmony and evoking emotion as well as the true methodologies as far as warms and cools for dimension has struck me. I want to create a go to palate of paints to ease in working with such principles- thus am obsessed with choosing the right colors! Thank you for this “test”! I love the creativity and the unique video style!!😊
Thank you for the kind remarks! Glad you enjoyed playing. 7 is a really good score! Also, you are right about the importance of learning the basics including warm and cool colors, striving for color harmony, etc. It can be overwhelming for beginners but can also be a very fun and enjoying process. Cheers to you! :)
Ha, these are fun...I bet they are a lot of work, though. Almost a Jedi! I thought that last one was rose of ultramarine. When you were listing those artists, what was the last one you listed? It sounded like Sherry or Charity Laukov, but I couldn't find anything on Google. I love the other ones you mentioned, and wanted to check her out. Thanks for doing this! 🎨
Almost a Jedi is a really good score, great job! The last artist is Shari Blaukopf. She is a very talented watercolor artist with a sketchbook blog online and she has a couple of books in print. Cheers and thanks for playing! :)
Hi Elisabetta! It is always good to hear from you. Yes, some of the colors in this episode are very challenging, even for color masters like you! Moonglow can be especially tricky if you don't own the color. Thanks for playing and I hope you have a wonderful day! :)
I did really good, HOWEVER, my Venetian red IS PR108, so…🤷🏼♀️ 😁 9/10 I should add though..I just spent 2 days swatching and making individual cards for all my paints..instead of my rather disorganized swatch book. I didn’t mean for it to be so disorganized…but when you keep buying (or being given) new paints plus sending my daughter and best friend paints they need…I was more discombobulated than disorganized 😂
Ending on one of my favorites was a nice touch🥰 No way you could have known😂 Interesting-I have never swatches Shadow Violet next to Moonglow. Shadow Violet has always been my preference-your swatch confirmed that💜🖤 I scored miserably…but I blame it on my monitor😂😂😂
My guess for the last one was ultramarine violet. 😁 I’m not very good. I mostly only guess the watercolors I have and use a lot. I only own one pan of Winsor and Newton professional and don’t have any Van Gogh. I own primarily Daniel Smith and Schmincke. I have a set of Sennelier, M. Graham, and A. Gallo. It is fun to guess your colors! Thanks for creating them for us!
How did you score?

8/10 but I actually got the first one wrong ahaha. Probably because I never had the Cotman set.
Excellent score, despite missing the first one! In hindsight, the first one is not all that easy. Cheers!

Great job Miss Brontë! Always good to hear from you. As is well here, hopefully same for you. Take care!
Wonderful video!! I was deceived by some Daniel Smith colours I don’t own, like moonglow….😭

Interesting-I have never swatches Shadow Violet next to Moonglow. Shadow Violet has always been my preference-your swatch confirmed that💜🖤
I scored miserably…but I blame it on my monitor😂😂😂
Thanks for nice comments. I think you can definitely blame any missed colors on the monitor! Cheers! :)

Not a bad guess on the last color! Thanks for playing. Like you, most of my watercolors come from Daniel Smith. Cheers! :)
I had so much fun with this video! Thank you!
