I'm a cyclist and I know I have the right to be on the road, but I'm also not an entitled prick who doesn't care about my safety or the safety of other people. You'll find me on the sidewalk. I have zero sympathy for cyclists who assert their "right" to be on the road.

I am so sick of entitled drivers. The bicyclist had every right to be on the road and the vehicle that passed him should have slowed down and passed when it was able to give the minimum 3 foot clearance safely while going by. Driving on the roads is not a right, it is a privilege. Too many drivers AND bicyclists don't know the laws they are to abide by. I have given up on riding on roads and take my bike to the trail nearby now. Too many close calls.

I guess the bike rider never noticed the sidewalk that was running beside the road that has no shoulders.
In their mind the better option is to stay on the road, riding 20 mph below the speed limit.
    Makes sense to me.

The cyclist has every right to ride on the road. The driver is responsible for passing safely and could easily have waited 2 seconds for the traffic to be clear. Also, in many municipalities it is illegal to ride on the sidewalk if you are over the age of 14.

@@MrQuaiven The cyclist also has a responsibiliy to do the posted speed limit, which they are not doing.
You can be ticketing for driving too slowly and just because you are on a bicycle does not make you exempt from that.
People that ride their bikes slowly on roads that have no shoulder may be 'in the right' but there are also a lot of people 6 feet under who 'had the right'.
The cyclist is an idiot and had the video actually been one of him getting run over they would have my complete apathy.

@@RedPills-bk9nu No, the cyclist does not have a responsibility to do the posted speed limit. That you want to see people injured or killed for delaying you for a few seconds really speaks volumes about you.
