There is a line in the 4th book when the Beaulbetons students arrive at Hogwarts, look at the Grandeur of the great hall, and are unimpressed. They might be biased with a stick up their butt but it makes me wonder about the possibility of exploring a new school with less lore to be tied down by. What if we explored the French school that is apparently grander than anything we have ever seen? It's risky but I'm curious about it

HL was my favourite gaming experience. Not just a great game but the map, seeing Hogwarts and the hype. I haven't seen a community come together in such a huge way, all my friends played it and shared stuff at the same time. It's how gaming was when I was a kid. Haters gonna hate but I'll remember 2023 for that

I loved it as well and think quite a few fans actually criticize it too harshly. It's mostly said out of love for the world though so I get that. This video isn't meant to hate on the first game, but to show how they can make the next one even better.

Hogwarts Legacy was a good start but it's easy to see that their was a LOT cut from the game due. The game had been delayed multiple times so they had to keep what was most important.
I hope the sequel is just as good or even better than the first one. This are things that I personally want to see:
    • A bigger difference between all for Houses baring ONE QUEST.
    • More choices and consequences, maybe not as massive as something like The Witcher 3 but not entirely knowing what is a bad decision so you think more carefully.
    • expand on ancient magic, I find it interesting and would like to know more like why is it rare.
    • more unique rewards for friendship quest like how Sebastian's gave us the Unforgivable curses. Maybe Poppy can teach us how to use beast in combat or Natty could help us become a animagus.
    • add more customization options like changing colors of clothing or for are character model. Like changing each eye color individually, so you could have 2 different eye colors.
    • please add a save outfit feature. I don't like having to constantly change each peice of clothing. I like wearing school robes inside Hogwarts.
    • make combat more challenging and add more build possibilites.
    • Quidditch
    • new locations for us to explore like Diagon Alley or The Ministry of Magic.
    • add some fun minigames games to do like playing gobstones with friends to get money.
    • make each wand core feel different, add some new core types, and have us change the look of the wand if we don't like it after using it.
    • decrease the size of the world but add more things to do within it.
    • morality system
    • add backstory to are character. We could chose are blood status and other wizards could treat us differently because of it.
    • more immersion. Give us the ability to sit down or other things like that.
    • expand on the Room of Requirement, let us bring are friends instead.
    • let us have a pet like an owl or something.
    • new and more interesting stories with are friends. Sebastian's story was great, Poppy's was good, and Natty's was alright. Have them ALL be as good as Sebastian's.
    • have are friends be part of the story, like they can help us fight the big bad.
    • PHOTO MODE and let us change the seasons after the main story is finished. Personally I liked the snow more than the others.
    • New Game Plus
    • don't have the word fell like a UBISOFT game. Just a list of check marks instead of exploring.
    • Things to do AFTER the main story.
    • bigger emphasis on the classes.
    • let the Vivarium and Room of Requirement spells have their own SEPARATE slots that are used in those locations. Instead of taking up slots for other spells.
    • have the common rooms be used more. They put a lot of work into them but we are hardly in them.
    • more hidden passages and unique areas inside Hogwarts.
    • redesign the Moving Staircase. Have them actually move and have a pattern.
    • Detention if we get in trouble enough times. That can build a reputation between us, the professors, and other students.
    • allow us to respec are skill points if we want to.
    • Maybe add romance to the game, if we are going to be a sixth year. This is usually about the time when Hogwarts students get into relationships. They could add a whole quest line about it.
    • add in some new spells and more spell slots.
    • add more clothing options like changing each peice separately
    • make a dueling club so we can practice are combat. Like trainindummies and against other students.
I can see how the sequel can start. After creating are character we are in the Ministry of Magic recounting the events of the first game. After that we got to Diagon Alley and get are supplies. Their we meet are friends and catch up. We vaguely hear about an unknown threat but no one knows what it is. After that we all go to Kings Cross station and go on the Hogwarts Express. While instead the train, we see Hogwarts out the window. The camera goes outside the window and heads to Hogwarts. As the music kicks in, Hogwarts is fully in frame. The title appears, HOGWARTS: DESTINY, cut to black as the music fades.
I can't wait to see what AVALANCHE does with the sequel. I hope that they bring as much LOVE and PASSION to the sequel as they did to Hogwarts Legacy.

You mentioned some good things. My top 2 are this:
    1. Focus on Hogwarts. Make student life more of the center of the story. Better class system with activities, missions, accomplishments, chores around hogwarts, etc.
    2. Less hand holding. Hogwarts is amazing, but it did not have as many secrets or features as I would have liked. More variety of puzzles, tasks, and discovery without making it so easy.

i want the littlest things like
    • morality system
    • consequences of your actions
    • relationships with npc’s like there’s a skill to where the relationship is and it all depends on them joining you on your quests ofc as an option, to date them, or as a best friend, depending on your actions/choices with them you can make an enemy or a close friend/ lover.
    • able to interact with any objects like site, sleep, read, eat with everyone else as the common rooms and the cafeteria feel like total waste if you can’t do anything in them
    • have style save slots so i don’t have constantly have to change cloths piece by piece whenever i need too
    • bigger spell slots and spell upgrades like the fire tornado and etc
    • tame wild animals obviously more then one or 2 to join you in batt field or keep as a companion who follows your around and can be useful in quests and theirs no time limits on using them just have to feed them let them rest when you get a chance to give them energy they can die though if they don’t have enough energy and in battle, and you can choose to release them back in the wild if you don’t want them.
    • more character customization, like more hair styles, clothes, can have 2 different eye colors, can go deep into customizing our face structure so that not every person who plays the game can their character look like somebody else’s unless they choose to copy someone’s character ofc
•and we have parents and depending on how MC looks they look some similar to our character but the system will take care of that, you can interact with them when in trouble going down the path they don’t want you to to go on and yes sense your the MC and you can see ancient magic their are family quests so you can interact with your parents.
    • online game so you can interact with other players like GTA

Friendship is such a key element in Harry Potter. I was pretty upset knowing you could take tons of students out on an adventure with you. That needs to be added, as well as a "Sims style friendship builder", ability to take more classes and be a student at Hogwarts, Qudditch, the ability to sit and more iconic locations instead of tons of wizard farms ( I'd also be fine with more rooms being added to Hogwarts)

Another thing that should be added is the ability to have a pet, like the owl, cat, rat, or toad. I haven’t seen this recommendation come up at all, or missed it, but could really add to the experience!

Things I wish gets added into the sequel:
    Classes graded.
    O.w.l.s/n.e.w.t.s exams.
Exam graded, and have that determined which classes you can take in the 6th/7th year (and possibly what kind of jobs you can apply for, if they include a "life after hogwarts" part to the end of the second game).
Get to chose which of the extra classes (from 3rd year and up) we want to take.
Having wands act different/have different strenght and weaknesses based on the type of wood, core and flexibiliy.
Get to choose if you're a muggleborn, half-blood or pureblood, and, if you choose half-blood, get to choose weather you live in the wizarding or the muggle world, and if you know about the place you didn't pick or not.
Go to the muggle world and interact with, and try to blend in with, the muggles.
Choose a pet and its name (along with choosing between different breeds, when it comes to cats and owls, and looks).
Also possibly as a challenger setting, have your character do worse with magic/knowledge related to classes they didn't take, or did poorly in (and do better with magic/knowledge related to classes they did take, and did well in). As well as struggeling more with the muggle world session based on your chosen blood status/background (and/or if you picked muggle studies).
If they do add Quidditch in the second game, I hope you can choose whether you want to join or not, and if you chose to join, I hope you get to pick the potition you want.
Most importantly. Let us be able to transfer our character and their wand, and main broom (and possibly spells and main outfit if we don't start from scratch in the sequal) over from the first game.

For a dragon mount, I would love to ride on an Antipodean Opaleye. I also have some ideas for the sequel. 1. All the characters will recognize u, regardless of different features from the 1st. 2. Before starting, u can add rather or not if you’ve turned Sebastian in; and the ending of the finale battle (open the repository, keep it a secret, or share with others when the time is right), as a means of continuing the story. Same for some the side quests of rescuing animals for the folks in the Highlands. And 3. Amit is officially a companion.
Edit: 4. There's an underwater vivarium in the RoR for your pet creatures that live there. 5. We met with the selkie merpeople of the black lake, just like Harry did. It'll b like our relation with the centaurs only no hostility. 6. Quidditch is back with the addition of choosing any position u want just like with the houses. Instead of always playing the seeker.

I'm of two minds on "cut content." With some of it, it was probably cut for a very good reason. This happens with anything you create. Everything you make doesn't always make it in. A lot of times it makes the end result better. The distinction I would draw is things that were cut due to not having enough time or resources to see it through. THOSE are things I'd definitely want to see.

@@RetroRaconteur Certainly. I can see that some content was cut to make the game less tedious (like curfew system), but others like companions and morality would make game more fun. There is also the possibility of enabling the more annoying and tedious parts in a ‘hardcore’ mode of sorts, like say managing house points and getting back before curfew, or sneaking back in past curfew. Detentions and whatnot would need to be part of this as well.

Have the tombs dark, without torches that light up, where Lumos needs to be used, much like how the intro segment was. The tombs could sometimes have these monsters. Also, spiders to climb walls, attack from above, and some "gotcha" moments where you might be sneaking around a spider lair and scanning the room reveals it's safe, but a spider sneaks up from behind... things like that.

I think the thing I want most of all is just the world to be incredibly interactive. Like you could use magic on pretty much anything in the game and depending on the object and the and spell being used, different things would happen. No matter what the object is and no matter what spell you use on that thing or object there should be an equally meaningful effect. I want it to feel like the possibility are endless with casting spells. I think the First game had a decent foundation in this area but could be improved on a lot more. I remembered playing Order of the Phoenix and feeling like a student at the school and that anything was possible in terms of engaging with the world with magic. I would like the sequel to recapture that to a much greater degree.

Nice work on how to make the sequel better, with the baseline all set, all the developers got to do is to improve and possibly make a new story, we got things to improve :
    1. Start as 1st Years, as you said, learn from Magic Awakened.
    2. True Classes (Not cutscenes, I'm quite heartbroken on this. Heck, even MA's classes also have issues including no new lessons beyond Wingardium Leviosa, Hogwarts Mystery was made so simple, it nailed the entire syllabus)
    3. True Quidditch (So obvious, but provided how it's done in the upcoming Quidditch Champions game so we can play all 4 roles)
    4. Mini games (They're not complete if they're absent, Wizard's Chess, Gobstones and Exploding Snaps being the primary examples, I enjoy them made by EA's HP games)

You’ve mentioned alot of what I would like to see but here’s some of my thoughts:
    1. Animagus & Patronus: Like you mention I want all the different Patronus there is. I was stoked when I got Brown Bear and want to proudly use it when fighting dementors. As for animagus I want alot of different forms too as for example Natty being a Gazelle (which makes sense being from Uruganda) but I don’t want like 3 choices like maybe wolf/dog, stag and hawk. Give me alot of animagus variations. I also want animagus being optional side quest as all wizards/witches aren’t animaguses. I also want the quest to start early on and then you have to wait by doing some main quest/side quest/activities to simulate the waiting time of 1 month as that is what it takes to become an animagus. Also since it should be optional there should be no benefit more than variation and more gameplay. So if you become a hawk you should fly the same as using a broom, if you’re a stag you should be as fast as a ground mount and if you can attack as being a wolf, bear or whatever animal it should be the same damage as using the wand.
    2. Moral system, no need for me to say more. You said it all in the video.
    3. Romance option, make it a part of the story to be able being romantic with characters (from 1st game it could have been like Poppy, Natty, Sebastian or even those with other side quest. You could even just grant everyones wishes by persuing Professor Garlick).
    4. The quest ”Minding Your Own Business” blew my mind the first time I did it. It took me back to the Batman games when facing Mad Hatter and would LOVE more quests like that. Also loved the idea of us having our own house-elf.
    5. Make the house more important to the story and character. Felt like the story sometimes forced you to go against what the house you choose stands for or how you tried to portray your character.
    6. Better House Cup that is more involved by your progress through out the game. Let us see the standings during the year and let our choices, progress and how you handle classes/tasks affect it more. Would also love to see a online standings ingame of how the houses are doing based on what the community play as, but not that it affects your own House Cup.

I’m not big on the class aspect of the game but I’d be lying if I wasn’t I tad bit disappointed we didn’t get a proper potion class, herbology class etc 😅
As for what I want to see in HL2, I want to see our MC face a real world consequence for the power we wield. It’s hard to believe the ministry wouldn’t come after such a powerful 15yr old kid that essentially squashed the leader of the goblin rebellion… I want that to send us all over the Wizarding world to uncover the truth of our power because surely this power isn’t unique to us and our region.
Dragons, yes 👍 not as mounts though. Just because lore says dragons are untamable creatures…. But who knows maybe we could have a mission where we could earn a dragon’s trust enough that it would allow it.
There is also the dragon egg we saved in the first game, that hatchling could become our Mount, I always wished that quest had a part 2 and expanded just a bit more. It could also make the vivariums useful by making it a place where you can take young creatures and raise them to be your mounts but you have to be consistent with care, play, and placing in appropriate environments.
I also want the companion features back, it’s a shame they were taken out. I think it would have made the experience feel more lively if that feature had been left but I also understand that they didn’t want to give us a broken system to deal with so hopefully that’s been fixed for HL2.
    - Expanding companion stories
Sebastian’s character has such a good story that can be expanded and can use the morality system perfectly, Light or Dark, Loyalty and Understanding or Betrayal.
-Natsai can be all about adventure, learning about animagus magic and maybe a bit of wandless magic too.
-Poppy can lead back into the poacher’s storyline, after all her parents were mentioned as was her grandmother, we made a mess of things they could come after us and poppy because she is our friend.
-Amit , make astronomy puzzles and have him join us out in the highlands or wherever we are to help us solve the puzzle. If he cannot join us out in the field then he can send us an owl.
New spells! New Magical Creatures…. aaand I definitely need a backstory for the MC just because I feel like there is a huge question mark regarding their parents and family, did we get this power by chance or like Isidora, are we descendants not of Morgana but maybe Merlin? After all the Merlin Puzzles were solved by us even though no one ever could solved them successfully before. (I know it’s a game mechanic but maybe tied to the MC lore 😅)
No matter what we get I am excited, the world the devs introduced us to was beautiful and definitely left me wanting more. I often get back into the game despite beating it just to wander the map and just admire the castle or fly around on my mount next to the dragon.
    Thanks for the video Retro!

I think for me it would be a few things:
    1. Underwater exploration (you see HL was made to run on the ps4/xbox one, and they couldn't handle that which is why you teleport underwater to a different location)
    2. Hard difficulty and enemy scaling. Once I get above an enemy's lvl I can kill them with a basic cast within a few casts. I want to do more cool combos but my enemies die too quickly. Even on HARD difficulty this happens. If there was a way for enemies to be beefier and always above your level, then HL would get a lot of replayability out of me
    3. Quidditch

Jokes aside, I think the orb of water is just spontaneous ancient magic Dumbledore used to merge all the water together and putting it into one big orb. It would be very cool for HL 2 to include "creative magic" instead of just normal spells since we know that we have ancient magic. Like if they added a very complex magic system where we could mix spells and surroundings all together to form crazy things usable as weapons we could never expect. Also, wandless magic would be cool.

Hogwarts Legaxy tried to do a lot of things at once, but wound up falling short.
I'm not sure if it's really possible to have a game of this scale, that both has a fully fleshed out student simulator, and a big world to explore, all at once.
I would personally like to play a standalone game, one that isn't Hogwarts Mystery (no mobile, no microtransactions), but a proper PC/Console tame that allows us to experience life as a Hogwarts Student. Have all 7 years of story, take classes, clubs and extta activities, and a good Hogwarts to explore.
But a game that's about exploring the world beyond Hogwarts - that should just be a seperate game, to it can fully flesh out the open world exploration and everything else.

-hard mode isn’t actually that hard. Harder NPCs would be cool
-the camera change view to pet cats was lame and just over the top
-the talent tree should have way more options(also unreversable)
    - no cooldown on spells but you deal more damage the more combo of spells you use instead of just spamming bombarda
    -no broom out of bounds
    -potion cooldown

Also in Prisoner of Azkaban Hermione said that Hogsmeade is Britain's only wizarding-only village so the fact that there are so many villages near Hogwarts makes no sense. Furthermore it makes it seem as if Hogwarts wasn't so remotely located as it is described in the books.

To argue about one tiny thing, you can technically 'ride' a dragon in the wizarding world, but you can't 'steer' a dragon in the wizarding world. Dragons are untamable and you can't tell them where to go, so having one as a mount is sort of strongly against lore. Now if they were to give us some sort of magical dragon shaped construct, that would be a different story.

I'm not sure about Quidditch (now we know there'll be a dedicated game) and exploring beyond London (I expect the dev effort would be massive)
But if the next game is still at Hogwarts, then here comes the wishlist learning:
    - More character relationships / *romance*. From what we know they were going into that direction already, with the companion mechanism.
    - More common room/house commitment. I really enjoyed your own house highlighted in some quest dialogs, but I think we could go further. Unless you role-play, there's no reason to return to your house. A house cup would be nice
    - A few more spells on the "light" side, to counter the "dark" skill tree. In the current game I feel like if you don't go all-in with dark spells, you won't get the "full OP wizard" experience 🧙‍♂. I want the option to be Dumbledore-powerfull (not Voldemort-powerful)
    - In relation to the previous point: more impact from the skill tree you choose / decisions you take in the story
    - More interactions with NPCs. Currently even though Hogwarts or its surrounding is filled with people, it feels lonely not to be able to interact/talk to them
    - More threatening dark wizards. It's not just how easy it is to beat them at some point, it's also that they aren't very "scary". Unlike the Hogsmead shop quest, which really hit right in the scary target, more of that please!
    - 6/7 year classe content, and especially, preparing for the wizard job. We never got to see a "normal" 7th year at Hogwarts!
    - Apparition - yes yes you can't do it inside the grounds
    - Having a pet
    - Animagus
    - Diagon alley (I'd really like the ministry as well but I'd prefer another game to be dedicated to the wizarding world outside of Hogwarts, like a game where you are an Auror)
    - More weather stooorms 🌩
I should end by tipping my hat off to the Hogwarts Legacy devs, if they are ever reading this : HL is an amazing work, given all the pitfalls with this particular game at this scale.

    What about RPG systems like:
    ------------------------------------------------
    - Ability Scores : Intelligence, Strength, Charm, Charisma, etc (Your house = primary ability, ex: Ravenclaw = Intelligence).
    - Races : Wizzard, Half Wizzard, Human (Both parents muggles like Hermione).
    - Classes : Thieve, Rogue, Auror, Astronomer, Duelist
    - Passive skills tree build : Fire Magic, Ice Magic, Potions, Enchanting, Lockpicking, Persuasion, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, Herbology etc.
    - Equipment Build : Each item gives some unique attributes and you need to choose the ones that benefit your current playthrough build.

Okay, having thought about this for a while myself, I think I know what Hogwarts Legacy 2 could entail:
Firstly, I think that in order to have a true sequel, it must follow the progression of the character you made in this game. I propose, if the technology is available to do so, have the data from HL1 connect to the sequel. When you begin your game, rather than completely design a character and go through the whole process, the game will do what it did if you connected your Wizardingworld account to this one and give you your ACTUAL character data: your house, wand, look, and all the background of what you did in HL1. If you didn't play 1 or you simply want to make a new character, then of course the option to start from scratch is also offered. What's also nice, is that each house could also give a bonus to the character's overall upgraded stats: Griffindors could be better at damage spells, Slytherins at control, Ravenclaws at force, Hufflepuffs at Utility or some other spell type they could introduce.
Second, the beginning of the game should, I think, start at the END of your seventh year at Hogwarts, and the Character Customization/ Character Connection from 1 is related to your NEWTs. This will give the player the ability to not only be rehearsed in magic learned from the previous game, but also give insight into the new mechanics of this one. After you complete the NEWT tutorial, the player is then allowed to travel into the open world where, I agree, it must have more locations: London, Azkaban, etc, and the whole point of this game would be that the ramifications of the ancient magic from this game, as alluded to in RetroRaconteur's video, would be that something is happening that only the main character can deal with.
Third, something that no one's really mentioned is that of a CLASS system. As we know it wouldn't be your typical warrior, mage, or thief name, however, similar to Hogwarts Legacy 1, your play style kind of determines this. So let's give effects to these choices as you'll be a graduated student from Hogwarts, and what's the first thing you'd do? Probably find a job! So there's your class system. Aurors, Merchants, Researchers, and even Criminals. That's right! Actually become a dark wizard! That morality system will play a huge part in this as well since your character will have to make choices that will greatly determine the outcome of certain situations.
Fourth, I would say, would be the overall mechanics. Definitely have more spells, but maybe also an upgrading system more so than in HL1. Perhaps have "Incendio" start as what it was in the game, but have it "evolve" into "Confringo", as "Accio" kind of became "Wingardium Leviosa" in some instances. Broom flying is still a must, even if it's no longer just in the Hogwarts area. I think the main differences would be that A: People in the real world are NOT wizards, so doing magic in some areas might cause some huge issues, especially for that time and place, and B: EVERYONE is susceptible to magic. Wanna be a dark wizard? I think you know where I'm going with that.
Finally, NO multiplayer in the game. I know some like it. I don't. Having many players ruins these types of games. However, competitive aspects in the universe of the game would be fine: Quidditch matches, Wizard's Chess, Gobstones, Accio Court, any of those are fair game to have a friend play with you, but NOT in the main game.
    My two cents.

    My wishes for HL2:
    1. SOME multiplayer features, that are not mandatory like constant internet access requirement. But features like 4-player coop are needed. But my personal wish is also this: After you play with your friends and they go offline, an NPC that bears the name and appearence of your friend stays in the school permanently (until you remove the friend from the friend list), when you would talk to that NPC, they would say somthing like that: "Sorry, I'm a bit busy right now, can we talk later?" or "Our last adventure was quite tiring. Let's talk later"
    2. Complete redesign of the Main Tower of Hogwarts. I know it's kinda a nitpick, but cmon, Main Tower IS the Heart of Hogwarts. It's where the Grand Staircase is, that leads to numerous corridors, nooks and crannies that even can be random. But in HL it's just a tube-like structure that leads to 4 locations, that do lead to other parts of the castle, but it's still 4 locations inside that Main Tower. Plus, it's kinda obvious they had different design plans for it, since interior and exterior of the main tower differ in many ways. So yeah, my iwsh is them to make the Main Tower the heart of the castle, not that "Hub" area they promote as the heart. it more or less should be a brain of the castle, since most of classes are located in that part of the castle.
    3. Smaller Open World. Let's face it, HL's map is ery huge, but very empty on activities. Fighting mobs, collecting collectables and doing not-dungeons are not what is considered activities nowadays. All these aspects are 2013 Open World design, which got old really fast and should be changed. You're not Ubisoft, so be more creative, geez.
    4. A better story, atmosphere and characters. While atmosphere in HL is good, it's not perfect, there's no sence of immersion in it, you're more like in a Disney attraction in it. Story is simply bad in HL, it needs at least 50% focus of the dev team for the sequel at the very least.
CHaracters also should be in that 50%, because while some characters are good like Sebastian and Ominous, Natty and Poppy are simply gimmicky and not that interesting. Plus, this game is UNREALISTICALLY nice to our character. Like everyone is nice to us for no reason at all, when even Harry Potter had hard time from students and professors alike, and yet we are treated like we are some pompous douchebag that can tell their father to fire teachers and students' parents from their jobs from not treating us nice. Aka there's no rivalries, no competitive spirits and etc., only nice things. Again, feels like Disney attraction.
But that's just an addition to what many people want from the sequel. So mentioning classes and etc. are not needed here.

As far as people around, in the Order of the Phoenix EA game, Slytherins hate and mock Harry wherever he goes but others greet him like friends.

It could be huge to see the Assassin's creed Odyssey world mechanics combined with the morality system!
    I'll explain:
You are a student at hogwarts (starting neither good or bad) and the world has been split up in many different regions and levels.
Every region has it's quest and on the actions you take the region's moral will be higher or lowered, if it's low enough you can fight a region battle. At this battle you will fight for the good or bad side.
After you win the battle, the region will transform in a good or bad hideout with it's unique quests and rewards. After a sertain amount of time this region will be attacked by the other group so you can choose to fight for the defenders (small reward) or take a more challenging battle and fight for the attackers (bigger reward).
This can go on till you have all the regions as good or bad for an unique ending, projected on the choices you've made in the game.
With this system you can really feel that you have an impact on the world. I'm not sure how you can combine this system as a student at hogwarts, maybe you're just a witch or wizard in the world so you're neutral in the world.

Yeah I’ll buy Hogwarts Legacy 2. I know it’ll have good reviews when it’s released. I’d like the new spells, Parseltongue ability, and the Animagus ability.

biggest thing for me is definitely feeling like a student rather than an OP god with no consequences. More focus on life in hogwarts and less boring filler puzzles in the open world that you repeat like 100 times each

Idea for next plot for HL2: You're older now, working at the ministry. Mysterious disappearances are happening at Hogwarts. Your boss says you're to report to Hogwarts. You're dreading it, remembering how Sebastian went crazy adjacent, and all of the other things. You go back. Find out some old Loyalists have snuck into Hogwarts. You uncover illegal Basilisk trades, Snidget black markets, and a whole Loyalist community formed under Hogwarts. You easily take them down with your team (new and old characters). You feel like that isn't all, kids are still going missing. You go on a search for answers in the South Coast. Thats all I have for now! Comment with ideas please!

I think we really need all those features but number 8. It would overpower the player too much. If they implement Dragon Riding, then please after the final bossfight. It would add a goal after finishing the story and would not overpower the player too early

I want more spells and if they can't make up new ones than they should add the ones that we heard on the movies
I remember one called a piskie I thought that was going to make it into the game
    Engorgio
    And expecto patronum of course
Being able to turn to a cat or something would be cool
Possibly some quest outside of Hogwarts

When the seasons change, I’d like to see npcs wear scarfs, hats in gloves so I don’t feel like an idiot running around with one them when there’s literally snow falling😂
Common rooms need to have functionality and even make players skip the night by sleeping.
    Dementors and expecto Patronum.
    Morality system.
Need more mail story missions revolve around holidays such as Christmas and Halloween.
Need more cutscenes of our player whispering and plotting what they’re going to do at a table, while eating, in the great hall.
We need to be able to summon inferi, and use fiend fyre.
I’d like to see use be able to use cruccio, imperio, and avada kedevera as dialogue options to get information, make people do things for you in a quest.
Morality system should impact the look of your character like the book. Make your character turn extremely pale as the snow, sunken eyes, eyes turn darker and more lifeless. Character turns thinner in a sickly fashion.
Also would like to see old joke shop items to be used in the next game such as dung bombs, stunk pellets to use in combat.

The common rooms is a really good one! I can't believe I forgot to mention the notice boards. I would have put that in the list. It was one of the great ideas from the old games. That's something that would definitely help with that "student life" feel as well.

    • @BLUEnOVA360JR
      @BLUEnOVA360JR Год назад

If the common rooms had these things it would have made it much more worth while. hell even hav little animation loops of us practicing magic to show we're still learning rather than just perfecting everything on the 1st try.
Morality system is a big one.
more mail story missions sounds good, it would particularly help with more interactions with NPC'S so we're actually hanging around with them.
I would have loved to threaten NPC's with one of the unforgiveables in dialogue but it's far to friendly & polite....I hate that. The amount of times NPC'S get a last word in & we get nothing to say is really annoying...let me body bind their butts for their passive aggressive comments
Dark arts tree needs an overhaul in general but your mention of fiendfyre would be great like as the ultimate control of fire ( people keep mistaking the fire columns kin the game as FF but those are more concentrated in the one spot, FF is much more wild)
To be honest I've never been a fan of the whole appearance change thing after using dark Magic, I know it makes sense...but it's far to easy for someone to say " You've been using dark magic haven't you?" I'd like there to be another way say in dialogue we become more irritable. I don't think we should be locked out of spells though...I've never liked that either.
I'd love to joke items against foes like exploding crackers, stink pellets or even using hexes like the batbogey or sticking hex that would give much more options.

The reason BG3 should provide to be one of the best RPGs for some time to come, how much player agency Larian Studio is giving us. Sadly I found that Hogwarts Legacy was completely lacking this, it felt more like being railroaded to where the Devs wanted the story to go. If there is to be a sequel, I really hope the devs work towards a more immersive world with a lot more interaction possibilities. Also as pointed out, asking some of the core questions about your own character would be really, really helpful for immersion; why start as a 5th year, how/why did they get this power, etc.

I was hoping that you could learn new spells or improving on casting ability from quests and meeting new people.unfortunately it’s Kinda tough now for developers to do that because ancient magic doesn’t require incantations. Takes a way uniqueness

I think if they going to make Hogwarts legacy part 2. They should tell if scene in the beginning of if you have parents or if they died or what. And after you choose your house, the story should be more based on your house, so if you’re in Slytherin, there should be more quest and things to be the villain, and like if you’re in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, there should be more quests to be good. And certain clothes should be for quest houses even side quests. Like, for example, I think the quest, will you help somebody prove their brave and go under ground and get that plant for them should be Gryffindor versus if you were in Slytherin, you should laugh at them and not help them. And be able to have the option to do something villainous and mean and may be heard the persons, feelings or something. And then whenever your quest is decided, should be more based on the end of the game if you’re going to be on the villains team or against and be able to have the option to do something villainous and mean and may be heard the persons, feelings or something. And then whenever your quest is decided, should be more based on the end of the game if you’re gonna be on the villains team or against a villain the main villain

Great list. I'm going to say that among these my biggest hope is more focus on life as a student at Hogwarts. I love Hogwarts Legacy, but I really didn't like how taking classes ended up being a one-time each type of thing. I love Hogwarts Mystery's story but also the fact that classes and other events are repeatable and available whenever you wish to indulge in them so that we can build up and improve our skills. Related, if something like the Merlin Trials are supposed to be optional side activities, part of me wishes they had not required them to be done to reach the maximum level cap. Requiring them to hit max level took away the feeling that they were optional for me.
Deeper companions and morality? Yes. Quidditch I can take or leave. Cool if we get it but broom flight for me felt like it needed to be so quick and precise that I can imagine myself feeling dizzy if we have to not only be super-fast and precise but *also* flying all over the place at 'breakneck speed and needing to focus on keeping eyes out for (and chasing down) bludgers , quaffles and the Snitch..

I’m torn between liking and not liking HL. There were a lot of things that seemed to be half assed and the rest were great. I didn’t like the mode of travel or the flying experience but I understand they needed to do what they needed to do. Why did they have character that could apparate but then not teach you how to? I feel like they have so many games to learn from like Zelda and other great open world games which made it disappointing when I completed the game in a couple days. There were spells that the enemies could preform that you couldn’t so I feel like they lacked heavily which they hopefully fix in HL2. I agree the loot was lacking and unlocking doors seemed unnecessary or it was sort of thrown in there to make it more interactive but I don’t think we needed to adjust the lights in order to complete the spell.
