From this channel. I on behalf of Tibetans across the globe thanking from the deepest of our heart to the successive governments and the great People of INDIA for opening their arms of love and care to us Tibetans. When no one in the world was ready to give help in 1959, the great India and its loving people come up for help. We are true “make In India”. India and Tibet are “Teacher and student” and “ parents and children “. We Tibetans love India because India is home away from home for us Tibetan.
Mr Bald thanks for capturing little portion of Tibetan world there in Delhi.

Tibetan from Toronto watching your videos with a lot of joy! It's like I'm back in home again because I was born in India and moved to Toronto to better support my family. I see many Indians think that Tibetans are rich, this is not true, we are simply extremely hard working and opportunitistic! We were not born into wealth, we created wealth on our own so that our own children can have better lives than we did.

Sir, there are numerous explanations why there are 108 beads, 108 bears special religious significance in hindu and buddhist traditions:
    1. 27 Constellations x 4 Padas = 108
    2. 12 Zodiac Houses x 9 Planets = 108
    3. Upanishads or the Scriptures of the Vedas = 108
Thus, when we recite or recount number 108, we are actually remembering the entire universe. This reminds us of the fact that the universal self is omnipresent, that is the innate nature of the self.
It's nice watching your videos, gives a different perspective.

    When you asked "why 108"?
He answered, "There are 108 because, the actual designated beads are 100, but just to be sure that you've recited the mantra i.e Om Mane Padme Hum 100 times, there are 108. So 8 extra beads are basically a backup plan. Incase you miss some.

Thanks, really enjoyed these past two vids. 108 is a sacred number for Hindus, Buddhists, jains. "Om Mani Padme Hum" speaks to the benevolence, blessing and compassion of Chenrezig, an embodiment of compassion.
This from wikipedia on 108 in Buddhism: In Buddhism, according to Bhante Gunaratana this number is reached by multiplying the senses smell, touch, taste, hearing, sight, and consciousness by whether they are painful, pleasant or neutral, and then again by whether these are internally generated or externally occurring, and yet again by past, present and future, finally we get 108 feelings. 6 × 3 × 2 × 3 = 108.

For 108 beads in mala / rosary Renowned mathematicians of Vedic culture viewed 108 as a number of the wholeness of existence. This number also connects the Sun, Moon, and Earth: The average distance of the Sun and the Moon to Earth is 108 times their respective diameters. Such phenomena have given rise to many examples of ritual significance.
According to yogic tradition, there are 108 pithas, or sacred sites, throughout India. And there are also 108 Upanishads and 108 marma points, or sacred places of the body

Cow's dung when mixed with dry grass make a good fuel which burns for longer duration than wood , less polluting and good efficiency that's why used as fuel .. even now during some Religious rituals it's done !!

There are so many similarities between Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. Even the Beads thing had 108 beads which is the same in Hinduism and used for exact same purpose. And then there's obviously concepts of Karma, Reincarnation , meditation etc. It's like we're the same religion with a little modification. Like the lady said even the language has roots from Sanskrit. "Om Mani Padme Hum" first word itself is "Om".

      P Master
Tibetan language doesn’t have roots in Sanskrit, but is influenced by Sanskrit (just like Hajong, Nepal Bhasa etc...).
“Om mani padme hum” is Sanskrit a Sanskrit mantra (ॐ मणिपद्मे हूँ).
Also, Buddhism evolved in modern day Bihar, UP and south Nepal. It was a different path to nirvana (Sanskrit: Moksha). It was intended to reform Hinduism during that time (just like Sikhism).
I’m not sure about the history of Jainism.
Anyways, all these “Indian religions” have the same destinations, same intentions, but different paths.

    • @user-xq6kz7ob5y

      Supreme Leader
Sanskrit and Pāli are closely related. But you can google it yourself wether the mantra is Sanskrit or a Prakrit language.
I’m not sure what you have against Sanskrit. It’s just a language... it didn’t kidnap your mother, wife and your sisters.

108 is a sacred no of the universe Mr. Bald. 108 represents the sacred numerological relationship of Earth to the Sun and Moon.
    Look at these facts:
    1. Earth’s diameter at the equator is 7926 miles.
The diameter of the Sun is about 108times that - 865,000.
    2. The average or midpoint distance between Earth and Sun is 93,020,000 miles.
That is 108 times the sun’s diameter.
    3. The Moon’s diameter is 2,180 miles. The average distance from Earth to Moon is 238,800 miles.
Again, this about 108 times the Moon’s diameter!
