- 🇮🇳 I had read a lot about Dharavi, Mumbai's and the world's biggest slum. I had seen videos of the squalor and poverty to be found there but I wanted to go and see another side, I wanted to see if I could find some joy there, some happiness, some hope. And so whilst in Mumbai I set off in search of Dharavi intending to see for myself how life was progressing there. Join me on a wild adventure through the world's largest slum.

You have shown Dharavi better than anyone could have. I am getting to see a part of my country through your videos. You have humanised the people living there instead of showing them in a negative light. Brilliant video. Loved it. It's sad that real estate mafia and politicians of Mumbai have created a massive housing shortage in Mumbai that has led to the creation of slums. Mumbai has almost no affordable housing schemes. There are either slums or premium condos.
Awesome, that was my intention. Cheers bhai 👍🏼
You bleeding
@KoivuTheHab Your mindset is sickening, it is fascistic and extremely ignorant.
The fulfillment of basic needs, does not necessitate higher education, in fact those in India who work in jobs, that fulfill basic needs, are mostly the uneducated and part of the lower casts, those are the people farming the land, building houses and overworking in factories to make peoples cloth.
While their work might have a lower impact to society, than that of a highly skilled person, the payment should at least be proportional to that impact and not exponentially exaggerated towards higher positions.
These people are exploited by the rich and powerful, though they can buy one additional ferrari, while an 8 year old kid has to work 12 h everyday to not starve to death, while being exploited by the rich person, so they can buy another luxury car.
At the same time having many children is the only option for the poorest, to get a chance of security, for when they can't provide anymore, because of health or old age.
The chance of one of their kids getting a decent job, that can feed them and the rest of the family, is often the only hope these people have, if we would stop exploiting people and provide at least a half decent fulfillment of basic needs to everyone (including pensions or equivalents), those people would not have many kids, because they would not need them to survive and people would also have the option, of getting a, education which lowers birth rates even more.
If the bottom 95% would be gone, the top 1% could not keep their living standards and their "wealth" would crumble due to a hyperinflation, they would not have enough people to exploit anymore and automation is at least a few decades off from completing entire supply and production chains in these places.
The elites are sitting on a pyramid made out of slaves and if that pyramids foundation crumbles, they will fall.
@KoivuTheHab I would have expected nothing less from you, than the ignorance you are displaying, i guess you are just a bad person.
@@FruitingPlanet You seem to really understand the economic and social situation here and more than that I can see how highly empathetic you are as a person. Keep it up. Just one note, don't bring in caste where it is not absolutely necessary. It often has the opposite effect than what is desired. Best of luck with life.
The quality of life there would improve 50% if they removed the honking.
The honking is their way of communication while on the roads. They more or less completely disregard traffic signals
@@ShaunRogue90there are no walking rules in india and there is no space allotted to walk hence people walk on road n vehicle has to honk in order for people to give space for moving vehicle

If there's one thing I learned from this 48 min video it's that kids with nothing but those bazookas can be happier than people who seemingly have it all. Loved that bit.
“What happened at the market today Rajnish?”
“Some white guy with a goofy look in his face was walking around saying hello to everyone”
Some english guy
And talking crap. I am surprised he is alive.
@@TracyTodd2199 how was he talking crap? (I dint understand what he’s saying)
@@floightoficarusw4329 that's actually a stupid thing to do, saying hello to everyone randomly on street. It makes sense to say hello to your neighbor in the bus, but the way he does it makes no sense
@@asimp5259 Must be the Britisher's style of talking
I love this format. You're in your element in long-form segments.
I was hooked on to this video from start to finish. Your unique way of mixing with all kind of people and addressing them in the most appropriate way is fun to watch. It is a documentary about lives of people who may not live in expensive flats, but they seem to be quote happy. Kids are laughing. They have a struggling but good social life.
Cheers Pagla 👍🏻
Question: In order to pass a driving test in India, is it a prerequisite to keep honking throughout the whole test?
What driving tests mate? Haven't heard that one before
^ 😂😂
Simon Scholl gay
They honk because they have to. Otherwise people will die.
Ohh People take driving test in order to get the License ?
I love how confident and totally oblivious he is to the surly stares from many onlookers. That would do my head in and I'd end up back in my hotel watching shit cable TV and eating Doritos.
Super comment
I know! I only wish I were as confident and outgoing as he is. I get around in my own quiet way though :)
@Justin batchelar I mean, the guy is talking into a camera on a stick. And he's a white dude in a very non-tourist area. They might be viewing him with suspicion, like he's there to cause trouble, cast judgement, or be a "white knight" activist looking for brownie points from God. But then he speaks their language and they warm up :)
The way you portray India with the up most respect. Love that about you!
honestly, I clicked on this from my recommendations list out of curiosity thinking i'll watch only 5 or so minutes.... here I am 48.59 minutes later. Great video!
This video was 48mins? ah! where did my time go? haha :D
Hahaha me too
He's really good with kids! They seem to love him where ever he goes!
i know! too cute! especially how they are in this video!
So are priests
Those kids using trash as kites is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.
Bittersweet is the word but their just being resourceful of the shithole they are born in

Nah that's sad anyone of us could've be born in India instead and live poor like that for the rest of your life. smfh If a rat in real life told me fuck India because of their lifestyle I would gladly rip their jaw off
It's hard to pull out of them muslim girls
Absolutely love your videos..stuck out in a truck all week in the UK and I watch these every day..brilliant..keep going..don’t stop..👍👍👍👍
Lorry driver? You guys are the backbone of the UK. Respect and all the best!
It really helps that you can speak some of the language when you go to these places. well done.
Actually he might know just around 50 words in Hindi. But beautifully manages with that.
My cheeks hurt from smiling while watching all those kids 😭😊 they seem so happy it’s so refreshing
I mean when they started beating eachother up i was like oh
they dont know yet they are poor.. they are just kids
bald with all those children was the most heart warming thing ive ever seen
indeed! his smile after they walked away was so huge! it was awesome. :) He almost looked so happy that he was in tears! :-D
What I like Mr bald and herald is that they visit and find beauty in those places where even indians don't want to go.
You shows that beauty finds every place on the earth ,not just in river vally ,beach and in mountains.
You need a award for this video 👌.
You sir were meant to do this. Your character, charisma and heart. Keep up the good work.
Thanks brother
@@baldandbankrupt Please go to the north east part of India. It's completely different. Go to Shillong in Meghalaya, Aizawl in Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland and Arunachal.
Even local have no confidence like him ..he is waking like he's the bhai of Dharavi ..poking every one "aur bhe kaisa hai". 😂😂😂
He do look like a rich thug!!
Proper thug life! :'D

I love the way... He says.. "" Jai Bhole ki""" and He knows all major hindi deities.... Aur bhai sab👌👌👌
I could conquer the whole world, if I had social interactions like this guy has.

Yes. Incredible vlogging style. Nothing like it.
Do non-muslims in India not reply to salaam? It was a bit sad, only the Muslim ladies even acknowledged at. Everyone else seems to get offended. Poor Bald doesn't even know he's hurting their feelies. 😂
@@katzsamuelwe are not muslims why should we give reply poor old muslim thinking shitt😂
@katzsamuel Probably not, since it’s a Muslim greeting… lol

I'm more extroverted when I'm travelling solo. Gosh I miss those days off travelling. The rush of getting on a flight with adventures ahead of me.
Me too man those were the best times. The thrill of adventure after adventure makes you feel so alive. Hope we can return to it some day.

Literally everything that breathes is staring intently.
Yes hes certainly got Charisma I was looking at a particular site where a guy was bad mouthing him but I think he was looking for people to disagree and he would receive more reply's.

He handles it very well
The grin he pulled when he mentioned the hijab and the eyes lol 🤣 i've got a friend called Kevin exact same character funny basket easy to get along with👍
There is more humanity in one of your videos than I have seen in the last year of watching RUclips, thank you for sharing and inspiring!
What is your story, why are you bankrupt and what powers does your baldness grant you?!
KoivuTheHab I’m not commenting on the conditions I’m making a statement on the state of human existence that he captures. He does not sugar coat or edit out the gritty sometimes inhumane scenes. He shows existence the way it really is in this part of the world with a neutral disposition.
Exactly what the fuck is wrong with youtube I have to go out of my way to watch something positive that isn't advertising something to me.
he said why he is bankrupt in one of his vids...he had a business that faltered and got divorced during process ..
Fonzi79 thank you, I’ve watched almost all of his videos now and have heard the story a couple of times. I hope he starts branching out to new countries!
KoivuTheHab oh it's you,the wannabe in every comment section who tries to spread hate .attention seeker of the RUclips lol
When he said "people are staring at me like what the hell are you doing in our area". Followed by "let's take a side alley". I died laughing 🤣🤣🤣
