This Cummins L10/Voith D863 sounds great. I remember when we had these in the SCRTD fleet. At first I hated them caused they replaced all of the Grumman 870's with those 6V71/V730s back in the day, but once I gave them a chance, the beefiness was a show stopper.
Man this bus sounds like our bus of today . This Flxible engine sounds nothing like the ones we had . They were one shifters lol , like our new looks was , that very same engine whistle .
I love feeling the Tires in a Flx while in Motion, Imagine what would Flxible Driver seating area would be like if it has Shield. I wish Chicago CTA's Flxible had this particular Cummins Engine, I'm shocked that Jackson MS and Memphis TN didn't have Flx Metros.
Not sure about the transmission, but we did have some Cummins L10 Flxibles. They were the 5300-series... more specifically 5745-5764. Only 20 buses out of all 469 in that batch. The rest were Detroit Diesel 6v92TA.
@@sm6175 Ohh You from Chicago too?? So am I, many of my fam worked for CTA. I loved 5300s Flxs, 5302 was my personal favorite as me being from South East Side.
@sm6175 CTA also had some cummins powered flxibles in the 6000 series as well I believe 6305 to 6329 they were M-11 powered with the ZF trans. As far as the 5300 were concerned there were about 20 give or take in the upper 5700s (5745-5765) all were L10 powered 10 had ZF trans and the other 10 had the voith trans
There is no better engine for a big Harley Davidson motorcycle than a Cummins L10 turbo motorcycle engine. The Motorcycle would have an air starter and a fast idol switch just like this bus!😎😎😎🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻👍👍🧊🧊☕️☕️☕️🍩🍩🍩
Cummins L10 diesel engine with a voith automatic transmission seats 43 - 37 with 2 wheel chairs and a wheel chair lift it sounded like a trash truck with hydraulic system but quiet for others

I wish Chicago CTA and Muskegon MATS Flxibles sounded like this

Wooo my god I love this bus Rosie sounds beautiful
Such a shame! The Flxible Metros were such fine buses. All of them are dead here in DC.

Sounds like the old Van Hool AG700s that the Reseau de Transport de Longueuil once had.
I love the sound of that flexible

Damn. Sounds like a Phantom with that ISM/Voith D863.3 (originally L10 CELECT).
This honestly reminds me of the 2x Csepel 844.01's we had a few years ago. C8.3/Voith 851.2's IIRC
Miami, and Omaha, ran 1993 Flxibles with the C8.3 to an 863.2!
TriMet took damn good care of those Flxibles. Doesn't sound like a 22 year old bus.
jdeandre TriMet doesn't have good maintenance at all
The Merlo Garage is considered Tri-Met's "Jurassic Park."

Lol, I've got idea to get sounds from OMSI to Rigs of Rods Fixible
Do you still have the Neoplan?
reminds me of the COTA flxibles
Did transit systems acquire this bus?
No No No !
Oh ok, but it's a nice sounding bus with the Voith transmission.
crusing
