Loved this movie. Very basic, but very good and I couldn't stop laughing. Great characters and great teeth😄. Seriously though I found it really enjoyable to watch and the reconnecting of two brothers who live in different worlds. 👌 🆒️
Thanks for this honest review. You caught our vision, hope and forgiveness for the film - simple story about two brothers trying to reconnect. (Also made in 6 days for under $15K. :)
@@HoltHamiltonFilms wow, I would be proud of that achievement. Certainly did an amazing job in 6 days. Excellent characters and film work... everything superb. So over the dramatization of movies nowadays and it was a pleasure to watch something very natural and easy storyline. Awesome and thank you.🙂
I'm walkin 73 years on Mother Earth and these are the times that made the best memories...when we was young and when we played remember when..all the old important ways to love each other showed up. Good movie...thank you
This is my favorite one, because I identify with Pete. I grew up doing all the scutwork with no thanks and my siblings never had to lift a finger. I learned all the home skills. I was their Florence Nightingale, taking care of every last one of them, making sure they had the best protocol and care, outliving and burying all of them, until I finally returned to my indigenous land, Israel, which they all hated. I'm now living my dream, having fulfilled my loving care for each one of them. I have always admired indigenous people, who also admire us, for returning to our homeland. We are grateful, because we understand and revere each other. I love this movie so much. Thank you for this heartwarming, scenic production!
Blessings to you, Carol2070. What an insight you share in your comment, I am humbled by your strength, tenacity and love for your family that you gave from beginning to end. God bless you, happy to know you are living back in your homeland and loving it. Peace be upon you.🙂
Loving all your indigenous movies, this one is just cute, reminds me of my two boys, twins, they're grown now too. They have their own way talking to each other and I don't interfere as long as they get along and have each others backs.
Just it proves ..our values are the same, we adopt the New but never forget our identity...most important .We do the things in our own special way... Blessings
Funny how the word "hogan, hoghan, or hooghan" gets translated by the closed captions to say "whole gun". This is my 3rd Holt Hamilton movie I've watched...and I see there are more.
Awe! I had a fish named Goldie… my grandma Babysat her and her brother, but she made me leave them in the garage and they died. The weather has been extremely hot or raining, so one algorithm rabbit hole later, i ended up binging on a few of these. Ernie looked familiar in Turquoise Rose, then by the Big Gap Boy’z i realized who he was! He’s a funny dude and I’m happy to find him in some movies. The vibe in these movies is great, and everyone plays off each other well.
I'm glad you noticed that. One of my favorite parts of making this film. We shot this scene numerous times because I was having so much fun. :) (Holt Hamilton, Filmmaker)
@@HoltHamiltonFilms It was funny. I love books too so when Pete was tossing them away, I couldn't stop laughing. Especially after how much he learned they cost and he STILL continues to throw them! That was so funny and brilliant..Thank you for making such a great film..

I didn’t like this movie as a Native American, I didn’t think the comedy worked, although the filmmaking quality is decent, but the movie is messy in it’s core two characters already seeming on okay terms in the first couple of minutes of the movie, where they don’t seem like they’ve learned much, which wasted my time on how the rest of the movie is a drag to just end due to how insincere it was in tone. Overall a waste of my time. Overall, 2/10.
Haha loved this film. Reminds me of me and my brothers. It ain't easy being brothers. I'm Dene from Saskatchewan and the Dene and the Dine are very similar. I will definitely check out your other films on this channel.
@@HoltHamiltonFilms Yes, that's a great idea. I'm a filmmaker too. Could base it on this trip my parents went on with my late auntie back in 2005. My dad has a friend who's Dene but was adopted by a Navajo family in Arizona later on in his life. My auntie had late stage cancer and they took her, her fiancé, and her best friend to Arizona to go see a Dine healer that my dad's friend knew. Unfortunately, her cancer was aggressive and she needed oxygen to breathe, and she couldn't be fully healed because she couldn't go in the sweat with her oxygen tanks. She passed away about a month after they returned to Saskatchewan. But it was still really nice that she got to experience that before her death. She was only 34. In 5 years, I'll be older than she ever was.

Enjoyed this movie. The older brother dropped the greatest truth bomb that an older sibling might face. Breathtaking moment.

This was a sweet movie. A small story that was subtle, almost like theater.
Thank you. Glad you caught the vision and the intent of it!
Watched the first ten minutes, loving it pity my home town had an international film festival where i'd promote Indigenous films and music.
Did you finish it?
