Waikiki Beach waters turn white, cloudy after sand replenishment project

Officials with Honolulu Ocean Safety said there is nothing to worry about after waters off Waikiki Beach appeared white and cloudy on Wednesday, June 9.

It's sand. Hawaii does this. They've been doing it for years as their beaches would be gravelly if they did not bring sand it. Educate yourself. The ocean is full of sand

Because that’s all the peoples ashes that we laid to rest out in Waikiki they’re dredging up. I know about 20 people who were giving a ceremony out on the canoe in the past 20 years. Don Ho to say is one of them, and all of The Beach Boys ........

@@auntphibian FYI no they dredged the ocean to replenish it from right where they’re dredged it before. I would know I work on Waikiki beach, and I grew up here all my life. And my uncle buff is a beach boy from the 50’s yes still alive with the list of all the beach boys who’s ashes are spread all out there ok.
