Yea!!! Great video! I’ve been systematically going through all your videos. And it’s interesting that near the end of this video you mention hand piecing because that’s how I started way back in 1979 when everything was sewn by hand. So I am well acquainted ti matching points and it’s super that you have shown quilters how do do this - and to give me a refresher. We didn’t have but one size of pins way, way back so it’s really nice to h e this wonderful thing (and sometimes really small) pins for us to use. When I was teaching beginner/refresher classes at one of my guilds years ago I always stressed ti purchase quality pins and needles (along with thread) as we all will be happier quilters in the long run. I do still have my big yellow-headed (can’t give out the name) pins that I use for other things - not quilting.
Excellent! I'm surprised there isn't a little ruler with a hole in it at 1/4" to put that mark like that ruler you put your machine needle down into the hole so you can mark your perfect 1/4" seam. Kind of new to all this.
Where have you been all my (quilting) life? Great technical explanations! Thanks a bunch.
