Thank you so much for your support after we buy the tools (I think I have most of them). The videos and tips are so valuable to me because I need a refresher course as I don't quilt as much as I would like to. After watching I'm ready to start using the tool and not looking for directions and trying to wrap my mind around on how to use the ruler. You're a great teacher, thank you for all the videos.

I am new to the Tucker tools. I am looking at investing in the Square Squared and the stacked squares technique sheet. Does the technique sheet only require the large Square Squared template or do I have to have the half inch one as well for the square in a square in a square in a square?

You don't need the Square Squared Half Inch with the Stacked Squares Technique sheet. The Stacked Squares has economy block information from 1" finished to 12" finished units. If you only want to make units from 1" to 6" you don't need the Large Square Squared the Square Squared will work for those sizes. If you want to make units larger than 6" then you will need the Large Square Squared tool.

Can you use this tool for half sizes? Or is that another ruler?

No, you need to use a different tool. The Square Squared: Half Inch is what we developed for the half sizes so that all the lines aren't confusing.

Can you use directional fabric with this?

You can, you just have to think about how you want the print to look in the unit and make sure that you cut it correctly. We talk about fussy cutting with the tool in the instructional video for the Square Squared tool. So check that one out.
