I got this one. A random British commander found the Apple somewhere during the American Revolution. That commander would go to fight in the battle of Yorktown. At the end of the Battle of Yorktown, George Washington would take it from him after the United States beat Great Britain in the battle. George Washington would hold on to the apple but it would start to give him visions and bad dreams. Washington then took the apple to Connor because the assassin might know what to do with it. When Washington handed the apple to Connor so that he could look at it, both of their hands touched the apple for a brief second. Because they both touched the apple, they were both instantly knocked out and were put in a shared dream sequence. This shared NON CANON dream sequence is what you play in the Tyranny of King Washington DLC. After Connor kills King Washington, both wake up and realize the dangers of the apple. Washington does not want it anymore, so he gives it to Connor where he dumps it in the sea so that no one can find it and use it for evil. Later Washington reflects on this decision, and having seen how power can corrupt a man, he decides not to be a king and instead be a representative of the people and thus create the position of president.
