Appendix is definitely the only way I carry and it fits my body the best. I use a sidecar type holster from LLOD(Last Line of Defense) and it's the Associate V2. It's an all kydex holster that's formed in almost a subtle v shape to conform to your abdomen and in this form it only needs one clip. I've used these for my M&P Shield, my Hellcat and now my P365X. As far as belts, I have a Groove belt and it's perfect for a small gun like the P365X or Hellcat, but I also use Hank's belts for awesome leather and Kore Essentials belts are great too, if not a little too stiff for me. I don't go up a waist size, I just get a size that's comfortable and as far as using the urinals, I just leave my holster in place and since I carry shorter barrel pistols I fish the willie out from beneath the holster and boom...good to go. Reholstering improperly is the #1 reason, for appendix carry negligent discharges. Reholstering too fast, without making sure your cover garment is clear of the holster, or any obstruction. You slowly look down, and guide the gun into the holster, that MUST completely cover the trigger guard of the pistol.
I'm actually starting to carry appendix or at least attempting LOL and one thing I agree with is the holster makes all the difference in the world because I got a tier 1 holster in the mail today for my Glock 20 and I can appendix carry a full size Glock 10 mm with an optic more comfortably than I can carry it out of the waistband on my side lol but I have other holsters that are so uncomfortable if I tried to carry them appendix I can't even comfortably carry my hellcat

Really good info here. I struggle with how to grip on the draw, just like you described. Lately I've been practicing the thumb over the backplate, and it seems to work more consistently. Great video!
9mm M&P M2.0 3.6" Compact (15+1) or G26 Gen 5 for ccw? How much easier is the G26 to conceal than the M&P, is it a big difference? I'm 5'7 and 130 Lbs, could you see the M&P as too thick/big for ccw at my size? Also recoil difference? Trying to decide which to get, thanks.
Just go for the M&P 2.0 Subcompact. It uses the same upper from the 3.6” you are already looking at but comes with 12 round magazines and a grip sleeve for a 15 rounder. That way you can carry 15 when you want but go down to G26 size when the situation dictates better concealment. It also has a rail and shoots better than a G26.
@@heeebeeegeeebeee Does the subcompact still feel balanced in hand with the shorter grip? I feel like it would be kinda front heavy with the short grip and 3.6" barrel.
Not sure why peeing is a problem for people. I have a Tier 1 concealment Axis Slim and an Aegis belt for a G19 and P-07. I have no issues peeing at a urinal. I just act normal and don't lift my shirt over my belt line.
Let's face it. The truth is: carrying a pound or pound and a half of steel inside your waistband is never "comfortable" and never will be, regardless of the gun or holster. Yes, some are more comfortable than others (or more tolerable), but by definition, sticking a gun inside your pants isn't "comfortable." You just figure out the best combination you can live with and get used to it.
I appendix carry. I'm far more concerned with putting a round through my femoral artery than I am about "shooting my junk off." Use your brains, people.
Not for me, at 57 I'll keep carrying owb. Ya'll aren't following one of the 4 saftey rules. Never point any firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy. I like my junk where it is and my femoral artery in tacked.
In no way shape or form is appendix carry comfortable especially with these giant sidecar holsters that are out now. Nobody is gonna convince me a Glock 19 on the front of ur belt doesn’t bother u.
When I have to use a urinal I loosen my belt(Nexbelt w/Supreme buckle) and pull the whole rig up a little..do my business, pull it back down, readjust and ratchet my belt back up. Nice and easy.
I find I like mine to ride lower because if the grip is more in line with my hip it kind of folds right into the bend of my body along my legs wherever it is but might be that I'm a bigger human. Too high up and it just starts to poke out more and more whereas getting it tucked hides it as well as makes it more comfortable since it rides along the legs.
I just don't like holsters that don't completely cover the trigger guard with Kydex. If those are inside the waistband holsters anyway. Outside the waistband is different. That is why I prefer black Arch Proto's m. It gives me the best of both worlds. There is no better holster on the market in my opinion.

And if you let it ride BELOW the gut, it's low locked in and undrawable if you're bent or sitting down. I do like the idea of appendix carry, just doesn't work very well for me...
I got the crossbreed for my hellcat, and it's horrible for appendix carry, might just be my body type but I'm waiting on my t1c holster and hopefully that's the key

It’s worse if you have a big belly and your not a heavy person . So difficult to carry AIWB .

It's subjective at that point but I'd go M&P. Just get a good holster and make sure you use a wing/claw attachment and you'll be fine to conceal it.

i have seen videos of "Fat guys" carrying appendix........it can be done......probably just need more patience and practice to get used to it
