You can roll the wheel as others mentioned. It doesn't always work though. I once rerolled Hestia into a Heart, back into Hestia into Hestia again, into Hestia again. Not entirely sure what happened.
I think there’s something odd about how gods appear in the Rift when you have a certain number, might not even have the four soft cap of the underworld route and it’s currently lower. Can’t tell currently.

Chaos Trials themed around particular gods can give you legendaries rather consistently because you start with all/most of the requirement already fulfilled.
In particular, I got my first Aphro legendary in the second or third encounter of Trial of Heartache (you have all required boons and all boons are Aphro or Hermes).
Didn't really help to clear the trial itself though... I'm bad ^^'
Yeah, I am hella stuck on the aphro trial. I'm working on upgrading the aspect to see if it helps
@@Bards.98 ok heres how u do this one now after the change. you are going to want to do alot of dashing in and out of monsters, while spamming special NON OMEGA. this also means in the eris fight, you will want to stay INSIDE her spamming regular special. it hits CHUNK DMG after the update that nerfed the omega attack, however. in a 24+ fear run that aspect is actually insane for long range fighting using normal attack.
@@dantedeloden I'm going to try this, the best result I got so far was from using the Ωattack and bolting away from enemies and spamming Ωspecials xD
@@Bards.98 the perks are ur specials get +75 power until it hits an enemy. Omega special is fine in grouping. But they wont maintain the huge 75 power boost like spamming specials insids eris
@@dantedeloden holy shit, it took me 5 tries doing what you said and a ton of luck (got all the good boons first, lots of hearts and poms on the special, a mid shop and no miniboss), but I did! And in the process I discovered that I have the infamous input lag that a lot of players are having in this game. Thank you so much my dude ❤️

Maybe it will change after updates, but the Chaos Trials helped me cross off a ton of the Legendaries and Duos from the Fated List. I wished I'd realised this earlier to lose them on purpose and replay them to farm them (for example, the Aphrodite Legendary can be easily obtained from the Trial based around her boons, but it's not guaranteed!). The Vow of Forsaking also helped me a lot with that before they patched it out, like you explained at the beginning of the video.
I'm waiting for updates before I run Olympus again, and then I'll try to get the last couple of Legendaries and Duos the way you explain here!

If your core boons aren’t filled, you’re always offered one core boon, so you only have two chances of getting a legendary for each boon. If they’re all filled, you have almost three chances each time. Tier 2 boons can also be offered as priority boons, but there’s only a 25% chance of it happening, so filling the slots is helpful. In Hades 1 it wasn’t always helpful because it can also enable unwanted duos, but in Hades 2 legendary and duo chances are separate, and legendaries have priority, so that’s not an issue.
Vow of Forsaking helps remove core boons and tier 2 boons faster, so you get more chances of getting a legendary. I don’t personally think it’s worth having to keep track of every boon you’ve forsaken, though.
Also for some reason the Ephyra miniboss room has higher duo chance, but I don’t think it has a higher chance of legendary. It’s not the same for every miniboss.
EDIT: disregard my last statement. The default rarity chances are 10% rare, 5% epic, 12% duo and 10% legendary. In most miniboss rooms, they’re replaced with 90% rare, 10% epic, and 5% legendary, with no change to duo boons. The Erebus minibosses have 7% epic instead, and the Tartarus ones have a 20% chance of legendary and duo.
Also, not every tier 2 boon is a possible priority boon. Currently the only ones are Apollo’s daze on attack, Poseidon’s slip, and Hephaestus’ vent.

@@Haelian I was misremembering the miniboss rooms rarity chances, sorry! I have double-checked it now. If anyone wants to triple-check it (specially after an update) it’s in the files called RoomData[biome letter].lua, in tables called BoonRaritiesOverride. Biomes are F-I for Erebus-Tartarus, and N-O for Ephyra-Thessaly.
This worked out perfectly! I was already sold and learned a lot just from the strat in the first area. I woulda been fine even if you didn't get it. But by NOT getting the legendary early you were able to run through all the other scenarios instead of...welp, we're done!
You can roll the same reward on multiple doors, Hades 2 does not appear to have the same limitation as Hades 1 at all.
The Fields is a special case, even though you can get the same reward on both doors, a reward can only show up once on the 2 or 3 rewards for multi-reward rooms. That is to say, both exits can show a pom as one of the rewards, but each door can only show one pom.
There are exceptions as I stated but the game makes an attempt to prevent the same reward on multiple doors. It wasn't just luck that we didn't get the same things offered in the first zone here when rolling.
So can you roll a hammer on both doors in fields? I'm guessing if it's possible you would have to re-roll in to it as I've never seen it doubled up by default. Or it it just for poms, health, magick, stars and not boons or hammers?
@@gharn2594 It is technically possible, but you may need to roll a lot of times. Also, the multi-reward doors in the Fields are somewhat random with which reward they switch when you roll.

Any chance we could get the Hades 2 vods on the vod channel too? I have been watching some of the ones from the beginning of early access on Twitch and it was enjoyable seeing your unedited first reactions, but the Twitch interface for vods is not good!
Can you do an attack run with the daggers. You had the perfect setup with secret crush, the Zeus prime, and final slice. You don’t have too because I get you like the omega special, but even this run got turned into on with a good attack build setup.

Wouldn't it have been best to roll the miniboss as soon as you were down to 1 heph door? From what I understand of your explanation it sounds like that would be the time you'd have the best chance to exploit that mechanic, and you already had your prerequisites.
Thanks for the strat, it was quite easy to get all duos and legendaries. Still gotta do Hermes and Chaos legendaries, not sure what to do about those.

Hmm I don't think it can hurt but it's not likely to help. It can give you random gods (unless you already have 4 different).
You should do a boon tier list I would love to see your thoughts on how you think every god sets right now.
A few days ago, I wrote up a little primer on how boon selection works over on Reddit.
It's not amazingly useful for laser-targeting legendaries, but there are useful bits to be gleaned when making boon choices.
One neat hypothetical example would be Torrential Downpour:
Start your run with Demeter, for example and, take either her sprint or her cast. Later on, start filling up core slots with other gods, but keep the Mana Regen open. If you don't have Apollo by the end of Erebus, get his keepsake. Get his Mana Regen -- if we assume that now all core slots are filled, he will only have 4 or 5 secondary boons in his pool -- Super Nova, Perfect Image, the double strike one, his revenge boon, and his infusion, if you've taken a fire element. Without a fire element, there'll only be four. Let's assume we've been clever and we've culled his infusion from the pool, as well. On each subsequent Apollo choice, all three choices will be among the four secondary boons and the Demeter duo, for which you've now fulfilled the requirements. This means he is the go-to through whom to fulfill the Duo. Any Apollo boon offering check will run through the four secondaries and the Duo three times, meaning that it will trigger the 12% + 6% (at least) chance to get the duo. That's a 43% Duo chance per Apollo reward selected. Whenever you don't manage to get it, keep picking Apollo, because the less boons he has in his pool, the greater the chance that the rarity slot during the check will be empty. This means that if you fail the Duo gamble with Apollo twice and take some of the others, there will now be only three boons to select from. If it fails the Duo check a third time it will skip over to offering you a replacement boon directly, so it's not a bad thing. It will keep offering you replacements, sometimes 3 at a time, if you have no secondary boon options left and by some miracle you keep failing the Duo check. But if you have zero secondary boons left and at least 3 of the core slots are filled with that god's boons, it will give you the Duo directly, but usually it will give it to you well before that.
I chose Torrential, because if you manage to eke out Demeter's "Omega Cast tracks you" boon on top of that, it's a free damage boost + constant Magick regen while you execute the Omega Cast because of Apollo's Mana Regen -- and you'll need it for that Duo.
Edit: What you should've done here is roll the mini-boss one into Aphrodite and leave it there, then take it last, after you've filled up the core boon slots. Also, her legendary is tricky, because every boon choice you make to fulfill prereqs opens up her pool to other stuff. Apollo's is much easier, if you take his Special, his Magick Regen and either his Extra Dose or his Super Nova. This way you don't open yourself up to his Daze-buffing/inflicting boons (except Light Smite).

I've looked at the scripts in the past and there was nothing I spotted about filled slots on the legendary roll chance
Filled slots increase the number of rolls that *could* be legendary from 2 to 3, which is almost a 10% increase in the chance of getting it, so it matters.
Isn't Ecstatic Obsession objectively worse than Glamour Gain? Maybe I'm misunderstanding it but it seems like GG without the magick regen and won't work on bosses
Most bosses have adds, obviously it was a terrible choice at this point in this run but twas the principle.

technically - it is possible to have multiple enemies in the eris fight so I'd say the legendary was still worth it!

Question. I know theres a check with Vow of Forsaken, but is there a check without that on or are you guaranteed to get legendary or duos assuming you can get enough boons to get every other boon for that god?( i know thats probably impossible but in theory)
Good question, I'm not sure. I would hope that thinning a boon pool out without Forsaking on would allow a guarantee, I believe it worked in Hades 1.
Without Forsaking, you're guaranteed a Duo if you manage to get the boon pool to 1 or fewer secondary boons (not counting the duo) and if you have your core slots filled with 4 or more from that god. It's kind of a tall order :)
Wouldn't Dark Side have a decent application if you run sprint or cast builds?
the only real application is running lucid gain for infinity mana. that's it. it is pretty trash beyond that. the fact they nerfed this to make looping harder for infinity mana is dumb considering that you need roll stars and appolo to get it as compare other boons like hera's born gain which is just 1 boon and done for infinity mana.
The only application ive found is with mel torches to go invulnerable after charging multiple omega specials

Conditions might be based on what the other two said, but the final trigger is there is an incantation you do in the cauldron that unlocks it.
i used to love the dual daggers, but i will state. i think they are the worst weapon in the game rofl. its the only 24 fear that i havent done because how it acts. its special locks you in place (cant dodge out of it) and its attack is so upclose even after widening its attack with water, solar, etc. it still just is a piece of trash. its great for 0 fear tho. VERY fast for that.
