I think it does look cool with the red stabilizers. I do prefer the blacked out scale look though. I was obsessed with this plane as a kid I have to get one.
Thank you and Abby as always! If you recall...I'm a hardcore scale guy...but I don't mind the "red" tail fins. It DOES make it easier to see...and that's important for so many reasons, safety not the least. With regard to "scale" flight...that's pretty much impossible with this bird anyway as that would require you to essentially fly it SO high it would be out of sight. And no...I don't think the full scale ever "did a loop" (certainly not on purpose). If you want a good "aviation" laugh look up the video on YT titled "LA Speed Check". It's a hoot. Take care and my God bless you and yours always.

Kinda early squad where you guys at and congrats 🍾🎈🎊🎉 again my friends on the 500k followers you deserve it and that is one sweet looking plane ✈️ too 😊😊😊😊⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Thanks rc sailors! Your videos have been a huge help to me learning how to fly rc planes. Today I did my first rolls! 4 to the left 4 to the right .also did a loop! Thanks again!
LOVE the red stabilizers, REALLY helps visually!! Nate, your landing... Slick as goose grease!! Thanks Saylors for sharing your experience with this COOL jet!! 💟👍😘
I have a good feel you're giving me a little scared when he was putting on those rear fins I personally think you need to do more breaking nature chops. Fun to do. I mean, it's fun to watch.😂😂😂
I like the red set stand😇 You could add a rudder on the front wheel, by custom fit with a piece of clear plastic... perhaps: 😅 Another great video on here. Thank you for your hard work on the channel 😄 🙏🎉🎊🤘
SR-71 is one of my favorite Buck Rogers type jets ever! In real life, the SR-71 would leak like crazy on the runway because at its operational altitude the jets panels would actually shrink and seal up the fuel leaks. It also had to refuel immediately after takeoff because the jet could not take off with a full tank....I would love to see them come out with a U-2 as well!!!
I like the look of the Red stabilizers and the plane has Red pin stripes so maybe a couple of Black pin stripes on the Red but all in all it looks good!!
After watching this video I went and looked it up, to see if I remembered correctly, I did a project on this plane nearly 30years ago at school. The nose is designed to fly with a 6degree up tilt, the jets are no oriented straight with the body. It is supposed to fly nose up.
As long as you guys are having a great time, so are WE! I prefer camera or FPV drones or the various cars you crash for us (I briefly flew control line .049s, but even with RC it's still basically going 'round in circles) Despite that, this is a cool looking and sounding aircraft. I didn't know about EDF jets it's like flying a Tesla, thanks,...
Watching it in the air reminds me of the F-4 Phantom. It basically couldn't glide and its tail was so heavy that it needed a lot of thrust to keep it going. I noticed the tail was dragging on a few of the show passes, and seeing as the SR-71 was designed to move at super sonic speeds. The model needs quite a bit of speed to have a nice stable flight. And yes, I much prefer the red vertical stabilizers as well.
Y'all need to put some black rcsaylors stickers on those red verts 😉 And maybe some lights for vis... And especially in the edfs ... That'd be aaaawesome lol
another great review guy's i live in the UK and between you and Captain Drone i just enjoy watching and your good lady seem's to enjoy filming you even having a little leg pull keep them coming guy's.
I seem to remember a version of the YF-12/Oxcart that had bare metal and International Orange markings. Should not be hard to replicate for this bird, and would defintely help improve visibility.
Awesome flying!!!!!! Nate, you were saying you would like rudder control on that plane. I wonder if you could setup thrust differential being it has 2 motors or if that is even an option? Have a great day😀😀😀
Hey Nate and Abey , I have following you guys since the begging. Love ya both. I have a awesome suggestion that you may be able to get to horizon. The shape of the SR reminds me of the Battlestar Galactica Viper. I think they could make a RC version that would fly. Dream come true and radically different
E-flight did a real well done job on this model…. They need to build a slightly larger scale… but non the less cool and awesome flying model but build a larger scale e flight!
Good ol black bird🐦⬛🐦⬛. It's so long, & low profile it is hard to see except in side view, & even with red fins only on side view. Though that is from watching on video vs in person. Maybe they will come out with a more visible color. Abby got ya there Nate. Your reply [ para phrased ] you enjoyed life & can't break me down. So I've got a song you might know & I thought appra pro to your reply. So Google, Break my stride by Matthew Wilder. This is a song from my time so to speak. It could be your personal theme song. Great video as always & again congrats on 500+. ⚓️⚓️👍💚💛🧡👍🐦⬛🐦⬛👍⚓️⚓️
After watching your videos, I checked it out on HH's website and read the lone 3 star review. I realize that everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that, but did the HH reviewer just have a bad experience? I've watched both of your videos and it seemed to be pretty well mannered and fairly fast. Could it have done with a slightly bigger EDF as the reviewer seems to suggest?
Sounds like the reviewer is simply upset that they didn’t make it larger, but I haven’t read that review. Hey, if it was bigger, it would cost more. I mean, I can be negative about the glass of water I drank today if you want me too. It is what it is, and from there you need to “review” it for just that. To give it 3 out of 5 stars because it isn’t larger just seems ridiculous. It flies well. It’s only downside is that it’s hard to see at certain distant angles, and we discuss that in our video. It also likes throttle. Don’t fly it half throttle, especially on banks approaching landings!! (Wing tip stall) so there ya go! If you accept those two negatives, I promise you’ll love owning and flying it!! Thanks for watching 👍💯😎❤️⚓️
I don’t think you can go wrong with a dx9. The newer lower end Spektrum seem ok (I have one) but they don’t seem to have the feel of being as solidly constructed as the older ones. New high end ones I have not tried. They cost more. Futaba is great but a lot less intuitive IMO. Most other radios (open tx etc) are more fiddly than Spektrum and for a beginner this could be overwhelming but still if you’re not daunted, explore them. But all in all, I cannot *not* recommend Spektrum for a beginner and especially for helis. They are generally easy to use, horizon BNF’s are a plenty... you get HH support. Just do it.
I've been using a Dx8e since 2020, it works great. Though I wish I had spent a little extra and gotten a Dx8. I would recommend an Nx8 for beginners, as it has more mixing options ,and forward programming.
@scottsymonds1950 Any Spektrum transmitter with enough channels will do both of those, and drones as well. I use my Dx8e for 16 different planes, and 4 different helis.
@@TheRcSaylors sorry I was wrong there's a big white stripe with NASA wrote in it on the vertical stabilizers but the red ones look really good to me anyway and easier for orientation.

Have you guys flown the aerobeez slick 540? I got it cheap and wanted to see if it was a good first plane
Abby and Nate y'all rock! Love the channel and content! Peace
Love watching ya'lls videos itdoes my heart good when I hear you Thank God so many don't do that it's a shame with out him we would have nothing !!!
The expression on his face was Priceless😂😂❤

Wow guys, when I watched your 500K video, you were already at 505K. and now, 507K. So well deserved! Congratulations!
Wow! That looks amazing with the red vertical stabilizers!!!!! It reminded me of the old GI Joe SR71 toy from when I was a kid!! Awesome!
I would DEFINITELY have Abby print up a Cobra logo from GI Joe on her Cricut for that thing!! 😮

As I have said before, the SR-71 Blackbird is arguably the most beautiful aircraft built to date. Great flight!

Thanks for the loop!
Hey Nate that was an awesome landing with the Mustang at the end of the video
My old dad used to go mad for different wing designs, Keep up the vlogs things are Electric ⚡ these days
I really like this jet.
It’s solid for sure! And something a little different 👍😎⚓️
I do not have a runway suitable for this plane, so I stick to bush planes with big wheels….roll the Timber obsession.
Maybe it’s just a modern day Red Tail with a Tuskegee Airman flying your SR-71 😉
It would’ve been awesome if they put lights in the EDF fans
Dang I said that to late I didn't know you already said that.. 😂😂😂 sorry.
Agree a 100%

I think "I have following you guys since the begging" should have been "since the beginning", right? ;-)
Hey guys does this have differential thrust or is it just bank and yank?
Sure, the SR-71 could do a loop. They just roll inverted and maintain that while they fly all the way around the world. ‘;-)

This is a cool-looking plane. And it's smaller size makes it cheaper to buy and cheaper to buy batteries for.
Just needs to be 80mm
Same with camo-scheme on a micro Spitfire, fly in front of the trees and you easily lose it.
I like the new sr 71 just wish they used 64s, I just bought the fms f18 V2 70mm can u get one and review it for us?

Haha. ✅️
I really could not see the red tail when in flight that much. A real drone when military planes get changed to drones they paint the tail red.

Technically they were the 1st to post. 😇😅🤭
To small what a waste.
Ahhh, huh?
