Nave I am so glad you went to see the progress of the house renovation. Recently Cole showed a video on his channel about the kitchen plans. He asked us if you should have an island or a peninsula counter in your kitchen. Cole said he was leaning toward a peninsula. Most of us who answered him said you all should put an island in there, NOT a peninsula. Please look and the plans and think about the work flow in the kitchen. An island is the best idea for proper work flow, to be able to get in and out of a kitchen easiest and quickest.
I really enjoyed your family video today. Your kids will enjoy their videos when they grow up and reflect on their time with mom/dad and grandparents. I was smiling throughout the whole video today. Thanks for the enjoyment.
Hi you two, the boys are growing so fast & they are so, so cute! This is a cool hack for Cole & the on-going stiffness of his new boots. I've tried this many times because I have the opposite problem of Coles feet. My foot is wide so my footwear can hurt or cause numbness as welI. I figured out that you dampen the leather quite well with a spray-bottle of water on the inside & you 'Wear them' until they dry! You have to actually 8:50 wear them until they dry while you walk around the house or the heated garage. This helps them mold to the shape of your foot quicker. A quiet Sunday is the best time for you to get this done. It's too cold to do this outside! If they aren't dry coming up to bed time you can speed up the process by drying them with a hair dryer. Your cool boots must just remain molding/drying on the feet untill they are at least 80% to 90% dry. I hope this helps. Oh instead of spraying with water you can also just start out with wearing wet socks to dampen the inside leather & then switch out to dry socks for comfort a bit later... I'm going to stop writing now before this wee comment turns into a short novel! Take care & good luck! 😅
@@julien2912because it ISNT SPOTLESS. Far from it! The last video I saw of hers it was nearly supper time, the kids were STILL in their pajamas. And the house was a wreck!
Poor Cole's feet. The best fitting pair of army boots I ever wore were ones that I broke in during a torrential rainstorm when I had perimeter guard duty and no time to change out of them the next day after they had dried on my feet. They never hurt my feet but instead conformed to them. Because they were the old-style all-leather boot, they wore like iron in spite of it all. What a sweet family.

kinda hard to finish the house before the basement gets done considering the floors they need to build on top of the basement to even finish framing the house together.
I wear and always wore, since age 14, size 15 EE and only experienced discomfort when the shoes and boots didn't fit, like at age 12 or 13 when i tried size 13s. No break in period, PERIOD.
He addressed this on his channel. Evidently he has feet with an unusual shape, so it's impossible to find off-the-shelf boots that fit right. These are custom, and once broken in are supposed to fit like a sock.
The boots were hand made to fit his foot exactly as they are. I'm sure the leather used to make them is more durable than regular off the shelf out of a box boots.
When you have two toddlers at home, online church is going to happen more often than you expected. Eventually, they'll be old enough for Sunday School.

Edward definitely takes after his Momma with your brown eyes & his darker color hair. Zek is 100% his Dad with those blue eyes & light hair. 😘. Both so adorable. ♥️ This season in your life is crazy. Having 2 littles, going through an entire home remodel, living with your in-laws. Remember one day at a time. If not at your in-laws you wouldn’t have additional help. A blessing in the chaos.
I agree and also When I lived in Missouri over 20 years ago Georgia Boots were extremely popular and I loved those boots as well they were the longest lasting pair of boots I've ever owned and probably the most comfortable.
Highly suggest the Skylight frame/calendar as an amazing way to stay organized. Aimed at organizing families (obviously your kids are a bit young). I use it, along with the app to organize everything and keep my head above water.

And of course with your mother-in-law's their input with recipes would be smashing😊 yum yum good stuff 🤤.ps. what do you think you put on the house for a cornerstone time capsule or is that too corny hahaha 🤣🤣
Growing up we had boots that where leather inside and out that we used on the farm and for tramping. To break them in we soaked them inside and out with neatsfoot oil and left them in the sun to absorb the oil. The first time we wore them we walked through water and allowed the boots to dry out while we wore them. This helped the boots mould to our feet.
Cole get a pair of either red wing boots or georgia boots I wore my georgia boots all the time when I lived in Missouri and they had really no break in time at all and the georgia boots saved my ankle when I wrecked on my dirt bike 20 years ago.
I don't know if you actually read these, but if you take a pair of Zekes' socks, and then put one of Zekes sock underneath each of the tongue of the new boots (where it hurts), it will cushion it and also make tongue looser faster. Worked with ex's brand-new boots.
Congratulations Kids are growing up so fast Can you tell me what kind of boots those are 100 days is a long time but i've had some that take awhile. Rarely miss church here to so happy for your family
Nave, tell Cole to use a hair dryer to heat up the new boots on the points where they are pinching him after he put them on, and then move his feet around as much as he can while he heats the leather up… just a tip.
I'm wondering how you will be able to clean that house. Gotta think it will be a 2 day project every week. Cole you might want to take stock in vacuum cleaners. I'm sure it's going to be a show place to be proud of.
I am wondering the same thing where is momma Cornstar? She has not been in videos in some time now ? It is like she has moved out of the house, it might just been too much commotion for her. But she does work a full time job, and is not on the farm videos too much.
Let’s be clear, spending over 20 plus years @REI selling boots for people who hike the Appalachian trail, PCT, etc plus any one who wanted to day hike, from what I see, yes it is a well constructed boot, yet no arch support, it’s a flat boot which will collapse your arch, great leather, if the leather was treated, softened, and worked prior to making a boot they would not be uncomfortable. Plus if it’s a full steel shank they won’t bend at all. Double welted, awesome, yet once again, 3/4 shank, steel toe, is ok. Yes you are on a farm, simple rules to foot care still apply
@ look at the boot FFS, it’s a straight level sole from heal to toe, no built up arch, which means if one has an arch it will collapse in a full skank non bendable foot sole
nave tell your husband to take rubbing alcohole third of ammout of water drench those boots in it ,walk till it dry do it 4 times and then those shoes is broken in thats how you speed break in a pair of leather boots it takes like 1 hr then its done
do you not even know what is going on with all of the new basement build? The basement needs built first because theya re building rooma above it that will tie into the existing house to make it bigger. Its silly when people say to " FINISH THE HOUSE FIRST" They cany finish the house until the basement gets done!! Once the basement is poured and framed up above, they will finish the house and most likely the old basement and the theatre will be almost last to finish out.
Imagine if US Army Rangers wore the same boots as Cole wears. US Army Rangers wear boots similar to heavy-duty sneaker footwear with durable uppers. Use a search engine and find out. My young nephew doesn't want to wear anything else. He says they last for 1 deployment or about a year. Supercomfortable from day one. Footwear arent heirlooms, they're shoes to make your feet comfortable and you more effective at work. Find better sponsors to promote.
Interesting. I wore a new pair of leather boots a few weeks ago to do some shopping. When I got home and removed them, my feet, ankles and farther up my calf had swelled to twice their size. These boots were also pressing on the top of my foot. They are going back to the store. (Two weeks later, my foot is still sore and swollen).

Lord knows and he shows us through you.
God bless you. ❤
I do not know how Cole's parents can stand the chaos in their home. I would be on eggshells and have my in-laws house spotless everyday.
I'd imagine the opportunity to build bonds with their grandchildren makes up for a lot of that.
They raised 3 kids in that house, family shouldnt be a problem staying there.
Why do you think Nave works so hard to try to keep that house spotless in every video!!??
Not everyone feels like it would be "chaos". Some would feel blessed to be able to have family around. Farming families are just built different.
