  • Lab 13 of the lab series of Learning Solid Edge tutorial concentrates on building a connecting rod. The lab strengthens using different tools such as mirror, offset, sketch projection, extrusion, symmetry, fillet, and other commands. You can save the lab in the igs-format and practice Fatigue Analyses using ANSYS Workbench ( • ANSYS Workbench Tutori... ).

    Excellent video ,Really got to learn minor techniques of drafting. As first seems very confusing but as video progressed everything got very clear. Thank you very much keep updating.

    can you please explain how we can know the size of the offset from draft file.

      The accurate way: Go to the "sketching tab", draw a line perpendicular to the offset (using the perpendicular relationship), use x dimension and choose "By 2 points", click on the intersection points on both sides (by just moving the mouse on both lines), hence, you will have it. Good luck.
