These evo motors produce a lower frequency tone than their earlier motors, PLUS have the Midrange/High characteristics of the P-head, Sh-head and Kn-head. They are great sounding motors.
when he pushes it, that "double-bang" sound of the 60-degree V-twin is absolutely awesome. I don't want a Harley Davidson bike, but I still appreciate the sound.
Love the sound of most V twins,L-twins.....Harley's,Moto-Guzzi's,Ducati's,Vincent's,Aprillia's,Indian's and Victory's...Sound and torque produced in a real usable part of these engine rev ranges inspiring fun riding with an amazing sound to match.
Shovel head/evolution guys are alot like 2 cylinder john deere tractor guys. They like to turn em way down just to here each individual cycle of each piston. *pop...fwoo-Pop... Fwoo-Pop... Fwoo-pop....*
That's exactly what it sounds like inside my helmet! Seriously, play this with headphones, add a fan for the breeze and close your eyes, Bam, you're riding....LOL
Much of the Harley sound comes from "forked" con rods, and the crankshaft that is used . Also, a 45 degree cylinder arrangement contibutes to the sound. Just because its a loud v twin engine does not make it sound like a Harley, or vintage Indian.
Forget the speedo, that sound is great. really. i wonder if that sound is allowed here in Germany at all. Anything in the traffic louder than a wash machine is prohibited today. It is called European community... enjoy that sound as long as you can.
me to...hate the fuckin valve train noise, myself! (2005 15 anniv fatboy. silver 1550 cu in 88tc) that EVO is quite as shit. As was my sportser custom 1200 xl...loved that fuckin bike!!!
@@-MrRichBiker1967 you can shim the rocker shafts with a inexpensive fix called Rocker Lockers that will completely quiten that rattling but the twin cam especially with fuel injection just won't sound like the evolution. The carbureted models sound better but it still is what it is. No potato potato sound.
@@jerryhayden8720 yes I have to agree with you there Years ago I traded my 97 evo Wide Glide in for a new 88 I realised that I had screwed up on the ride home... Wish I had never done it. Evo FTW!
@@denerumsby6789 there's a man that has a RUclips channel and he goes by Saddle Tramp, you may have seen his channel, anyway he had a, I think it was, 2011 Road King or something like that and he found somebody on one of the buy & sell sights I think on Facebook that was selling if I remember correctly a 1995 Heritage Classic and he asked the man if he wanted to trade even bike for bike. Long story short the man finally replied "yes" and they made the trade. I've decided to do the same thing with my 07 Streetglide which I really do like but the Evo is what I want. Sorry for the long post but it's a good story.
@Leftoverkfc, just cause ur mom left ur dad for a man on a Harley when u were young doesn't mean u should hate all Harley riders. This animosity is sad. U should look on the bright side, at least ur mom found true love. Cheer up. No more crying.
Hello Nick DiGi. What is the reason for this beautiful engine work. Is this because it is a new engine? What carburettor what ignition and module - please let me know. Regards Piotr from Poland
pant leg just gets knocked away if it brushes up against the belt... it's really not that big of a deal. but then again, the bike i ride is a frisco chopper with high mid controls and my pants are kept away from the primary, so i've never really been concerned.
@ Zooni....Harley are like ladies...you could always chosse to speed or ride em' ...we choose RIDE EM' ... enjoy the long ride . hope you learn something
Awesome sound it's the way a Harley Davidson should sound
