It really does feel like that lol. When I watch it nowadays there wasn’t much of a reason. Seems like he just had a simple interest in robin that quickly escalated to obsession. It is realistic tho cuz that’s kinda how it goes. They want what they can’t have
I still remember that time that Slad gave Robin major PTSD to the point where his teammates thought he was crazy
It wasn’t really ptsd, he put a hallucination gas in his mask, causing robin to see him and nearly stopping his heart in the process

Man's literally made a deal with a inter- dimensional demon to take out the Titans and get betrayed by them but still goes on to whoop ass later on. 10/10 villain

With the Trigon stuff in particular, I honestly don't think this version can be called Deathstroke anymore. He ascended beyond his other versions. He is too much of a villain to be considered JUST another iteration of Deathstroke the Terminator.
Don't forget after his death he put nanobots in robins brain to make him think anytime the lights are off Slade is beating his cheeks in,also Reverse flash go crazy nuff said

@@Honestlynothingelse it was actually a hallucinogenic gas in 1 of his masks that robin put on and suddenly having ptsd flashbacks so strong he punched raven, a strong psychic out of robins mind. not sure if it was b4 or after slade and trigon had a chat and he rly was back but could only show up in spirit to torment robin for now.

This series was the first time I seen Slade, and the sad part is that I never knew his true villain name until I play Mortal Kombat vs DC when he killed some guy in the street and fought flash. I was so confused, but still stoked that he was in the game.
If you wanna see more of Deathstroke in a tv medium then watch the earlier seasons of the CW show “Arrow”.

I always thought of slade and deathstroke as one in the same. So I always figured he was trying to take robin as a sort of double revenge against Batman take his old side kick and use him to beat Batman but in the end robin didn’t give in so he moved on to terra as a back up plan. I also loved how it’s his past coming back to haunt the Titans and it’s robins first real arch nemesis !
That's because they are the same. I heard that they couldn't allow someone with the name "Death" in their show so they just went with Slade since that's Deathstroke's real name.
Slade has no actual affiliation with Batman though, he was a TT villain before anything else so no..

I know for demographic reasons they couldn’t call him Deathstroke, but I honestly feel like that they should have used that cuz I always thought Slade sounded boring to me. I mean the show was able to used the name Brother Blood, but Deathstroke was too hardcore for kids.

The Skeleton King from Super Ultra Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! Was on villian time all the time. This man made sure that even if he did win he at least emotionally or physically scared the main characters.

The main reason I wanted a Season 6 of this show was to show WHY he went after the Teen Titans in the first place. Long story short, his son Grant tried to make a name for himself by swinging at the Titans and ended up killing himself because he used tech he didn't understand. Slade heard about this and just took up his son's contract because NO ONE makes the Wilson family look soft. A job taken is a job completed.
This whole thing started because his son was an Villain of the Week idiot. They probably don't even REMEMBER him!
Slade is the best version of that character in any media. I haven't seen any deathstroke strike the same kind of fear into hearts like TT slade did
Bro what's crazy is this is the kid friendly version of Terra and Slades relationship. In the comics and that one movie Terra was actively trying to seduce Slade. It's one of the most uncomfortable things I ever seen from DC 🤮
So if we're talking Down Right Devious, plz do one about Naraku from Inuyasha. Cuz that man loved to enjoy making ppl miserable in that series. Not only that had numerous chance on taking the Shikon Jewel/Shards but opted on continuous trolling.

I grew up thinking slade was a character unique to teen titans. Then I learned he's actually deathstroke, and I gotta say: Slade is the only version that does not absolutely bore me.

They really don't. This dude was so skilled and evil that even seeing him on screen jumped tensions tenfold
It would have been a really good twist for Slade to have been batman all along, breaking his trust to make him a better leader would have given him better motivation to drop the Robin mantel and become Nightwing.
