Ed and Lynn great video. Loved your transport, I was looking for Scotty though. Look forward to your next video. Keep up the great work stay safe, one of these days if I can make it back down to Florida and you’re there I hope to see you.😎👍
capt flint loving the show - you know pirates love those sails and shallow drafts - i have the flag but need the boat - hahhaaaa - cheers tot time mates
@@tryingnottosink9107 Thanks. I would have loved to have met you guys at the boat shows in Annapolis, just to pick your brains about the idiosyncrasies of the Hatteras yachts. There is so much I don’t know.
Getting a yacht? At 65 foot we are considered a yacht. We will probably keep this boat as long as we are interested in boating. I wish the engines were more efficient but we love the look and the layout. Plus they are made better than the new boats. We are more likely to re-power at some point.
If you guys did decide to change teams, I think a multi-hull (cat or a larger trimaran) would fit you a lot better than a monohull. Especially since you spend quite a bit of time in the shallow waters of the Bahamas. Thanks for letting us tag along to Annapolis with you!
Hey! Love your videos! I'm making some of my own and live on the ICW. I won't be the guy that makes it through the loop, but will take some shorter adventures. So I really like the tool that you use that shows a Google Earth or Maps shot of a marina where you are starting from and zoom out and then zoom in to your destination. Can I ask how you do that? It's better than my Navionics screen shots! LOL Thanks!
We missed the power boat show (and you guys) this year, but spent a little time in Hilton Head last week and checked out some boats at Harbourtown Marina. (My wife got to helm the Stars 'n Stripes sailing yacht for a while). Hoping not to miss Annapolis next year.
Ed and Lynn, IT's different world ,isn't it? Sailing is quieter, closer to the olden times, but power boats give you more size and control. Have you ever been, or have you ever considered going on a sailing cruise, just to try it out? Cheers, Rik Spector
Seems like a missed opportunity for vendors at the power boat show? Bareboat chartered a 46' Leopard power cat in the BVI's last summer, sold on the power cats now, wow! Maybe a short video on actual real life use of that fuel catcher in the future? Cheers!
Bummer! We didn’t go this year. We were at the Krogen Rendezvous in Solomons. It’s held every year right before, after or during the Annapolis Power Boat Show. Hey, would you both be interested in coming as guest speakers one afternoon next year? That would be awesome! (You’d still be welcomed even though you don’t own a Kadey Krogen, heehee 😉) PM me if interested.
You need to compare apples to apples ... yes monos are tight, but sail very well, (only for the purist!) Cats are more comparable and you need to look at 55 - 60 foot cats,, I believe that those have more space than your boat. You should have boarded the 5.8 Bali - massive !!!!! And Powercats are even more spacious without that stick in the way ! Finally, a cats sail or power are far more stable, especially at cocktail hour !! just this sailors opinion who had a 45' sailing cat and now going to a 53 foot powercat,,, yes will always love sailing, but tired of going slow!
Great tour guys thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It was such a pleasure to meet you both at the show! Thank you for taking the time to chat with us!

We looked for you! Next year but we'll probably go to the sailboat show 😬
I saw you at the powerboat show on Sat. Nice to meet you. PS: that painkiller drink is a lie, I had a bad headache Sunday morning.
LOL. That is why I only have one and switch to bourbon!😁😎
Hey, Guys longtime subscriber quick question would you consider getting a yacht or an updated version? CHEERS!

Got my final painkiller at Pusseers during the powerboat show. End of an era. 😢

We agree!
omg these new openings are hilarious
Thanks. Sometimes I get bored editing and do something to entertain myself.
We went to both.
🍻
I bought one of those fuel catchers.
Looks like a good idea.
@@tryingnottosink9107 I had one for a previous boat I owned and it worked great.

It is just Google Earth Pro. It's free.

That is a nice marina. We spent a couple days there a few years ago.
CGI Masters !!
Looks like you stopped at the same vendors we did.
So what are you guys buying next? I smell a new boat coming.
Nah, not for us. We love Triton!

We have never been on a moving sailboat. In fact, we have only been on a couple of them at boatshows.

We like the Kady Krogens and have been on several at boat shows. Are you sure they wouldn't run us Hatteras guys out of the building! 😁
Boat shows are all fun
Yes they are!

We have been on several Power Cats at boat shows and love them. It is the only other type of boat we would consider.
