Water Of Love (Dire Straits Cover)

We've been wanting to do this song for so long!
At the beginning of this summer my fellow bass and bongo man Lenny recommended me to take a closer look at the first Dire Straits album as I was once again stuck in my same old rotation playlist. So I did, I took a deep dive into the first works of the Dire Straits. I obviously had known "Sultans of Swing" and other bigger hits before but never really took a further look.
A few days later I hit Lenny up to ask if he'd want to join me for a cover of "Water Of Love". That was in the beginning of summer.... now it's basically winter 🙈😅 I always envisioned this to be recorded outside on a "long hot day". But while it wasn't quite as hot as I once imagined this to be, we still made it outside at a nice sunset and I think it turned out really well.
This is also the first time we overdubbed something whilst recording outside. Pretty cool if you ask me :D
