Fishing Long Beach on Rockfish Opening Day with surprise visitors

Department of Fish and Game wardens board our boat on first day rock fishing in Long Beach.
3 Anglers 26 assorted Rockfish, 2 red vermillion, 1 large whitefish, 18 sand dabs, 3 sculpins
Gear: Shimano rods & reels
Lure: frozen squid, nomad Design Squidtrex, and jigs

#65 braid with #30 fluro leader, just cause I try to limit the amount of rods to bring, and it’s also my yellowtail gear, and you can encounter sharks, and lingcods

300ft since the larger ones are at the bottom, u can get smaller bites otherwise
