- After a rough entry experience into Paris that screwed up with our initial plans, we're left with only half a day at Parc Astérix. To make up for this, we scheduled in a second day later that week. It was on this day however that we got to experience Toutatis for our first time! This new Intamin multi-launch coaster was one of our most anticipated rides of the trip, and did not disappoint!

We can all agree that Parc Astérix has a strong 1 2 punch with Tonnere 2 Zeus and Toutatis
Not to mention Oziris as a great #3 as well!
I prefer Oziris and even Pegasé over a front facing Tonnere tbh, I’m one of the people that finds it too rough (although far from terrible)
Toutatis is my number 2 and Zeus is my number 11 and for context I’ve been on 53 coasters.
Tonnerre de Zeus, the original before the refurbishment made by Gravity Group was really nice. Yes it was rough but in a different way and with way more powerful airtimes. Gravity Group did a really bad job.
@@kricriweb according to most Zeus has way stronger airtime now, especially in the 2nd half, because the helix got removed, so it takes everything after that with more speed

Osiris is really the starting point of CDA stepping up and doing some really nice work at their parks.

I think if you are going to have Matt in a video, you need to randomly throw a cup of water into his face. Like, he'll know it's coming at some point, but he won't know when. And then, when he drops his guard down, splash.

Rode Toutatis a couple weeks back and was lucky enough to snag a front row... what an absolute monster that thing is...

26 has always been the magical age for rental cars! But sucks to have that misunderstanding. Looked like a great day though despite all the mishaps!

I definitely know what you mean about airtime focused rides being where backwards facing seats are at their best. The sensation you get is like an egg being flipped out of a pan. Zeus looks awesome.

Nice video ! The run of Sarah with Abraracourcix was so fun 😂.
And just to explain: the Toutatis single rider line is very often closed because people enter in groups and refuse to be separated when boarding the train. So they assault the operators even though the single rider rules are posted... The Park therefore prefers to close it to avoid conflicts
this is very unfortunate
Often, it's also closed only temporarly. They open it until the line become full with a 25-30 minutes wait, and then close it until it's almost empty again.

Parc Astérix is my home park and i really do love it and its coaster collection (we hate goudurix), Oziris is definitly one of my favorite B&M invert and toutatis is for sure the best french coaster by far. About the toutatis single rider its sadly often closed, its kind of a shame but the fact that the filotomatix and the single rider are side by side and they dont check skip the line in the station but at the queue entrance so people often tried to go in single rider line to climb over the fence and go in filomotamix queue. About Tonerre 2 Zeus i dont understand, we french coaster fan hate it for most and find that its a poor gravity group retrack because of its roughness but its cool if you enjoyed it 👍Its strange cause sometimes i find that it rides pretty well but somedays its just an instrument of torture 😄I cant wait to see your discovery of the unique Parc Saint Paul this park is wo weird.

I don’t know how tall August is exactly, but I too am practically too tall for Goudurix, as the restraints don’t full wrap around my shoulders properly and I bang my knees into the side of the car. The perfect height for this ride is 180cm/ 5’11 ish, where you fit in the restrains perfectly and can’t get headbanging. My little brother was of that height when I rode this with him and he loved it.
I can’t even express how much I want a backwards seat on a raptor like RailBlazer 😔
This park is definitely a one I really want to get to!

Talking about monstrosities... I was at Cedar Point Saturday and Millennium Force's turnaround is directly over the petting zoo -- the constant train noise those poor camels and llamas have to endure during operations is not pleasant.
Can you give us an update as to how the complaint to Europcar went?
Have you looked for public transport to the park ?

We visited for the first time Saturday and they were SLAMMED. It’s probably personal preference but we found most of the theming pretty tacky and ugly, although Egypt was great. Oziris running 3 trains at perfect interval reminded me of Raptor in the late 90s early 00s. Toutatis was basically Pantheon 2.0 and our favorite of the trip. Loved Zeus backwards and even Goudarix was great. The park just doesn’t seem big enough to meet the public demand and we preferred the overall vibe at Walibi Holland better. Glad we bought our Filomatix in advance otherwise it would have been brutal!
I mean the park isn't going for a realistic style either way, its based on a series of comics and cartoons, so I think going in with that expectation is more right. Like its a cartoon themed park, you're gonna get theming that makes it look like you've stepped foot inside the cartoon its themed to.
Also having been to Walibi Holland, I'd personally say I found that park to by far be the tackiest in Europe I've ever been to.
That’s why I said ‘personal preference’. We knew what we were getting going in as we had researched the park. I’m not complaining it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

wild mouse coasters have a little over 1g of lats so 1.6 lats on goudurix is BAD
First time I rented a car I was 26 and my wife who was 24 could not drive the car... She was kinda ticked off about it... But fast forward 22 years and we have a trip planned for Christmas and the #Eldest at 18 tells me, "Aww I can't drive the rental car..." Nope sorry kid, You did go through the Panama Canal for graduating High School though.....
A guide to Europe; at rental car places they will always try to upcharge you for extra insurance or other lies
