I am a deejay main in sf6 but really Loving dhalsim as a character since street fighter 2. The last few days i started to pick dhalsim up in sf6 and these tutorials really are helpful 💪
This video randomly showed up in my recommended, but I’ve been interested in trying out a new character so maybe I’ll see if I like Dhalsim at all. Also, that Rudra skin mod is cool, I like his design.

This is so cool man, keep it up! Yeah breaking down the match ups would be a great idea. I was like an extreme newbie in sfv, stuck in bronze with a 15% win rate, and in this game i practiced a few dhalsim combos that i can't even replicate 50% of the time no matter hoe much i practice them, and i went to calibration and surprisingly won 9/10 and got into diamond, and ofc was handed the 1st loss after the calibration so i dropped to the high platinum. So im stuck there losing every ranked game i queue since im not placed in the appropriate bracket, so i guess learning the match ups from someone experienced is a good place to start 😂
I feel like knowing your matchups as Dhalsim means so much more than any other character in SF too cuz your gameplan changes so much depending on who you fight
@@RaulFlores-ig3re before you get your rank, you need to play 10 calibration matches, depending how you perform in those matches you will be ranked accordingly
Just subscribed. I wonder if you can make a general strategy guide vs. each character. Including mirror match? For example your strategy vs. Marisa would probably be much different compared to Ken or Luke. Hope that’s not asking too much. I love your content and follow your replays in cfn to try and improve my sim.
Probably a good idea to cover his defensive options. I made this mistake in early ranks but wakeup lv 2 when under pressure is a no no. Unless you're 100% certain they will grab you or are going for a jump. That move will get blown up if they crouch. Also, lv 1 is not invincible and should only be used in combos. Kinda sucks that you cant use the heavy version on someone jumping...
He's level 2 is a corner get off me and get out of jail free card. Its saved me 80 percent of the time due to corner happy punish players applying safe preassure. Only ever use he's sa2 when you atr cornered or with the stun juggle.

like your dhalsim videos. as a main, you could do a video about dhalsim against the drive impact system. i think a lot of players till dia struggle with the idea of"when poke ( st mk, st mp, st hp, how defense against DI with it ( cr mp, st hk, ex fireball, 3 hits ) i think you know what i mean :D. personally : i would love mu specific videos. dhalsim vs x : tipps to deal with the most standart things in this or this mu ( cr lk against lukes fireball, light higher float against guile sonics ... ) or your gameplan overall against this char. i ask for a lot but it would be cool haha
I do not at all play Sim. Only watched thanks to algorithm squeezing you into my feed and thought it'd be good to watch what a niche char like Sim does and like 1hr later I see you appear in a brain_f video and have to say you were amazing. Was more than entertained, in a good way, watching even Brian struggle against a char lol thanks for the tips. And would love to see more game play stuff if possible 👌🏾
You mean in a single jump? Could be if you did OD Comet, then that fireball terminated on the opponent's body in time to let you throw another comet before landing

Awesome guide! Would you recommend binding a key to both teleports (I use an 8 button layout stick)? At the moment, I have a macro for DI and parry/DR, but the TP macro could also be helpful.
Cheers for the reply. What would you say are Dhalsim's main strengths and weaknesses (aside from the obvious zoning and rushdown hybrid)? I've recently started playing him, but I keep thinking back to a comment I read once saying he's very difficult due to a high execution barrier and at times high APM. That feels somewhat daunting as I know I don't have RTS-levels of APM, nor Chun-Li levels of execution. However, I remember someone saying that Dhalsim's gameplan is to adapt to the other player and react accordingly, which sounds like a good fit to me. That's also what draws me to Guile and Gief, which I feel are characters that aren't necessarily the hardest to play (aside from optimal Guile combos) but which allow for a lot of adaptability and mind games. Pardon me for the long reply.
imo his strengths are his range, setplay and unique mobility among the cast. His weaknesses is his defense, poor damage and highly susceptible to DI @@PraiseBabyDel
I personally think Dhalsim's execution isn't too bad, doing half circle inputs into super is pretty annoying but that's it. His main difficulty lies in his neutral and utilizing his vast moveset@@PraiseBabyDel

I made the mistake of trying to stick with a character that i liked but couldnt play (el fuerte) in SF4, and sf5 just made me break and give up. that long break and how sf6 seems well made has made me want to try to experiment and since I like keep away its made me want to try Sim. Just want to say thank you for sharing ur knowledge on Dhalsim. Though i main Luke atm, dhalsim seem like a really fun alternate character.
He's so fun, I think Dhalsim helps teach different fundamentals like improving anti airs, noticing player habits, etc.

I did 2 air fireballs at once 2x in practice and couldn't figure out how to do it on purpose

Me personally I play with default controls which means I have a DI macro. I haven't had any issues failing to input TP.
