Love this update! Well done you! You've clearly invested very aggressively and accumulated a great nest egg.
You're 8% growth assumption feels a little ambitious though? Credit Suisse (RIP!) used to publish different asset returns and they pegged after inflation returns for global equities over the long term at about 5% so might be worth running a few different scenarios
Those food snaps look fantastic - do you have a pizza oven for those pizzas? I keep weighing up if its worth it for me, would love to hear your thoughts if you have one.
I've taken about a year off from work and loved it, even managed to massively grow my wealth in that time, then if you go back into the work place (i'm considering it at the moment) you're still set in the background.
Best of luck mate. Hope you're enjoying scotland!

    • @Dr.JubairsFinance

Thanks Chaz! I do think that 8% is pretty optimistic, my main thing has always been cashflow though, so income will always be important (even though it will be away from traditional employment for now).
No pizza oven actually, my wife just uses a normal gas oven, works pretty well still. I'd love one of those pizza ovens eventually, the one's that make a pizza in minute.
You're doing really well on your investments btw, and obviously you understand the risks!

You can't deposit more than 20k in an ISA each tax year, otherwise I think it will be flagged by HMRC. Anything outside of ISA is taxed as on their website so you get £3k capital gains allowance and £500 dividends allowance and then taxed on your income.

Very confusing, almost click-baiting title. You’re using the future value of your assets to say you’re semi-retired, while working and “fully” depending on that work for your monthly income. Anyone can do that and say they’re semi-retired today using the future value of their assets/stocks/pension. You’re semi-retired when you can only work part time and any additional income can come from your passive investments and assets, and after watching this video, you aren’t there yet. I get that you enjoy creating content and it doesn’t feel like a job but truth is you can’t afford not to cos your monthly income depends on it. I do however acknowledge that you have achieved a lot at 30 so kudos on that, but these clickbaiting titles aren’t it Dr Jubair
