Once we are dead, we return to the earth. Too bad there’s no consciousness or afterlife since he certainly deserves to rot for all eternity.
Tobin is irrelevant, but I’m sure that there are still victims out there that no one knows about. Girls, sex workers, who simply vanished one day and their families never saw them again. Many were never reported missing because they lived a transient existence & their families wanted to believe they moved on & started a new life. People believed that kind of thing in the 70’s & 80’s.
Now we know better. When girls vanish it is because some creature like Tobin made them disappear. I feel very sad for those girls & their loved ones because they didn’t deserve what happened to them. Nor did Tobin’s ex wife nor his son. Tobin left so much damage in his wake.

"Sex offender" is a broad umbrella. But I get you, the sadistic ones, the traffickers, the adult pedophiles, the serial rapists. Maybe the sentencing guidelines are too lenient for sex offenses (written as they were by men). Maybe jails are overcrowded with petty criminals and non-violent offenders so sex offenders with good behavior (no targets inside a prison) get a get out of jail pass.

    • @zeddeka

The death penalty doesn't work. If it did, America wouldn't have one of the highest murder rates in the western world. the criminologist Professor David Wilson explained simply why it doesn't work: Because nobody who commits these crimes ever imagines they're going to get caught. If we genuinely want to stop more people getting killed to start with, we need to look more at the things that cause people to become murderers. Among other things, that means much, much better mental health services.

Sexual predator murderers should never be let out of prison. There is no “paid for his crime” by sitting in prison for a while. You can never be properly punished for willful predatory murder except by having your own life taken.

The psychology of people like Tobin is something we're still learning about. His behaviour as a kid is similar to ADHD's evil cousins, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorder. They say that those who have Conduct Disorder often go on to develop Antisocial Personality Disorder as adults, which is pretty much psychopathy. I suppose the lessons to be learned are that the signs of trouble are often there from a pretty young age.

    • @cortneycline3619

Are you stupid? The U.S has some of the strictest most lengthy sentences. As well serving 10 years out of 14 year sentence is NOT just a slap on the wrist, especially when considering many other counties life sentences are the equivalent of 14 years or less. And decreased sentencing is incentive to do good and to not cause issues while in there. Just because a few bad apples exist doesn't mean you should throw away the whole bunch. And considering 3/4ths of prisons are filled with non violent offenders serving lengthy sentences I would rather risk the one in 100 men who will abuse the system then to condemn 100 other rehabilitate-able men bc of the ill actions of a few. People like you will take any chance to trash the U.S and talk out your ass about things you know nothing of. The U.S does not need more laws and certainly does not need stricter laws what it needs is people like you to mind their own affairs and stop worrying about a country that you despise. 🇺🇸💪✌

When will Governments get it that guys like this need to stay locked up for their first crimes for life? They are not going to stop ever and more kids or women will die because of some fools thinking if just 1 can be rehabilitated they all should be let out. Then you have the judges who even if they have that chance to keep them locked for good let them out.

A guy get caught with a joint or steals a motorcycle he does 2 years or God forbid more..but a guy who rapes & attempts to kill 2 young 14 year old children gets 14 (really?) 14 years and they let him out in 10..why let him out at all..
