Thanks for tutorial on the pump, but the music background covered your instructions during bench portion. I prefer listening to voice , over fill in music. My Accord 2L turbo Touring was recalled for the pump. Had a software glitch fix done also under recall. ( lane change monitor auto braking hazard )
Im getting my replacement now as im typing this. I feel bad because i left my fuel tank full and my trunk is a huge mess-hoarders nightmare. The tech might get annoyed and hammer away at the lock ring on the fuel pump as punishment lol. Anyway advice is to get your recall done as fast as possible because i got lucky to be issued a fuel pump instead of being relegated to a waitlist.
Thank you for the video, this was helpful for me to understand what the dealer did during the recall. Question, is it normal to still smell a slight gasoline odor several weeks after this job? When I say slight, it's almost like the strength of if you spilled a few drops of gas on clothing and the smell sort of lingers.
To add an additional gasket to the fuel pump, what size is the hole. I have an emissions light going off for fumes leakage from fuel pump. Instead of replacing pump (works fine) on 2016, add a rubber gasket to seal Leakage.
I love the way you explained everything that was really helpful and with the links, you got a like, subscribe, and comment from me. Because I was wondering how I was going to change my fuel ⛽️ pump because when I fill my tank it only goes to 340 and I was wondering 💭 when doesn’t it go to 400 miles till empty anymore.
Hi Jac I am running stock 2013 honda accord v6 coupe can you help with what fuel pump I should install I can’t change the whole system due to budget issues I just want what you did. I don’t know what to buy what will fit. Can you help please
why you decided to change the fuel pump? is this original pump or better than oem? can you please explain it? and how its now since you installed the fuel pump? I could not open the link for the fuel pump can you share from where u get it via amazon or ebay. Thanks
I had plans for more power and was doing that as a "why not" type of thing, but ended up changing plans. Nothing really changed after the install, pretty similar, was really just to have more overhead room. Axion's updated their page, heres the part: axionperformanceparts.com/products/deatschwerks-340lph-dw300c-compact-fuel-pump-17-20-honda-civic-type-r-w-o-mounting-clips?_pos=1&_sid=24da72d8c&_ss=r
Probably not sadly! Just doing remote e-tuning. The extra 2 (hopefully) psi of boost on E with the drilled fuel line by rough estimates put me right at 400
The stock filter has a few plastic pieces that hold the stock filter on the pump. If you’re trying to put those on, those might be the issue, since it shouldn’t need it
Just had this installed in my fk8. The fuel gauge is now showing a much lower reading that it should. And the MPG numbers seem to drop way quicker than before. Any ideas?
Jus got my 1.5 turbo back today, acceleration is a dream.. cost me 👌🏽shout out to Honda

I’ve got a recall for my fuel pump on my 2019 LX, just wondering where the dealership would be working at on the vehicle
Same, camehere looking for the same. Nice video.

Awesome stuff man, thanks for the support
Thanks for always providing the quality support!

Several weeks, no, I'd take it back to them to double check an o-ring isn't pinched because that is a common oversight
@Qius_Cars thank you
Just installed mine, thanks for the vid!

that filter assembly that the fuel pump goes in needs changing.
Where can I get some of those floor mats?

After I replaced the pump, all the lights came on, is there any solution?
Question? Did you fuel pump sound, like a little whistle?
Thx for the info. But do the aftermarket have more psi than the stock ?
Great video!
Heading back to the dyno again to see if the fuel pipe and pump really do anything for power?
Probably not sadly! Just doing remote e-tuning. The extra 2 (hopefully) psi of boost on E with the drilled fuel line by rough estimates put me right at 400
Question… what code was showing up on your dash to know that was the fuel pump?… I think I’m having the same problem with mine too
Mine was just showing the light thinking it was empty. If it’s a CEL it’s a different issue
How did the fuel filter set in? Im having trouble installing mine. Did you use the old filter?
The stock filter has a few plastic pieces that hold the stock filter on the pump. If you’re trying to put those on, those might be the issue, since it shouldn’t need it

Double check your fuel level sender didn’t get pinched or is bent
@@Qius_Cars Thanks. It’s sorted. Turned out to be a cable that wasn’t connected properly and the fuel float wasn’t working.
Hows the pump holding up?
Awesome video bro
Do you need get car tuned after for the fuel pump upgrade?
No need!
Bro awesome video thanks
Great Video!! Thanks for sharing.
Music to loud😅
Does the gas tank need to be low to do this? Or is this do-able with it closer to full tank?
Ideally it should be low, but even if it’s full you can still do it, you’ll just have more gas spill from the carrier when you take it out
@@Qius_Cars haha thanks I just found that out. I just finished putting everything back together. Car is running fine 👌. Thanks, good video btw
Another banger!! Lol 🏁🏁
Bro u forgot disconnect ur negative battery
Yes good catch, thankfully no issues!
no need to do that. i did mine 0 issue.
@@Qius_Cars yeah it just for safety
Great vid. Did you have to use zip ties to hold the basket shut since the pump is taller than Oem? Or did it all click back together? Thx
