Oman is generally considered a family-friendly destination for expats, offering a safe environment and a range of educational options for children. The presence of numerous international schools is one of the key factors that make it attractive for expat families.
We live in Oman and have done so for over 5 years. We have Permanent Residency via investment. I have a couple of businesses here and clients from all over the world. It's safe 24/7, the cost of living is superb. We live at the beach with great restaurants, a marina, golf course, swimming pools etc. And the sun shines every day. Oman is a very special place, a well kept secret.....

Regarding medical care in Oman, it is true that there is a weakness and shortage in the government and private medical staff, but I must also say that the emergency centers in government hospitals are excellent and their performance is excellent in emergency cases. Also, the new cancer center, their care for patients is excellent. Personally, I prefer to do periodic checkups every year in Thailand, tourism with medical treatment. Thailand is definitely the best, although prices have tripled over the past ten years.

"Where else can you go in the GCC and it's like 15 degrees colder"? Saudi Arabia - one of the most beautiful, most wonderful and most breathtaking countries in the world. The Kingdom has cold places all year round - there is the delightful, tidy city of Taif, and there is Al Baha close by. And down south, there are: Aseer, Abha, Al Namas, Turaif etc. All these are cool and extraordinarily stunning. Not to forget, up north, there is Tabouk and areas around it that are cool, all year round, too. As for Oman: what a country it is - dazzling, spectacular and with such traditional, kind, very welcoming people... 🇴🇲 🇸🇦 ♥
Thank you for the insights. Can text here the places people /expat are moving to? The lady mentioned a few. Have plans to come in October so wanted to check out those areas. Please
Expats can live anywhere anyone else can live. They can only BUY a property at this time in ITCs such as Al Mouj, Muscat Hills, Jebel Sifa, Barr AlJissah (Shangrila), etc (can't remember the names of others) and a few more being developed right now. Most of the ITCs are gated communities, FYI.
Nice video, but does Oman offer 10 year visa? like Dubai? understandably If I move & invest, I don't want to be renewing my visa every other year. When your busy with work its a extra headache, unnecessary paper work. .
I have a sales background and my wife is in banking, I get the feeling our skill sets wouldn’t be in demand in Oman or are there still opportunities to be had?
So much helpful information in this video. Thank you However , Rebecca never mentioned the catastrophic floods that Oman faces yearly, which is another factor why one is not encouraged to move there besides the hot weather and lack of health care.

Yes, you can get a 10 year residency in Oman through investment of OMR 500,000 in the capital of a company or through investment into real estate.

I am planning to move in Oman. Is there any chance to find a job there? I don't have any bachelor degree. I come from France.
Depends on your skills and experience. I suggest you get a job offer before you move here. Otherwise you're not likely to find a job.
