Man i usd to watch this every saturday when i was a kid. I used to live in this little place called Helena Arkansas about 45 minutes south of Memphis just on the other side of the Mississippi River I used to watch it with my grandmother we used to go to the old Mid-South Coliseum Monday night to watch the wrestling Jerry The King Lawler Austin Idol handsome Jimmy Valiant Bill Dundee all of them I live in Pennsylvania now and I really miss those days rest in peace grandmother and thank you for taking me to see the wrestling on Monday nights
Back in the day Lance was one of the greatest annouer of all times. On Saturday morning as a kid I couldn't wait . And on Monday night as a kid we went to the Ellis Audtouim the golden years of wrestling As Lance said The Home of Wrestling !
My aunt suffered from high blood pressure,no doubt from her constant hatred of Skinny Jimmy Chickenneck(i.e. Hart).Doctors informed her to revamp her lifestyle and maybe a change of scenery(no more fried food or live 'rasslin). Her response, move from Memphis, join us in California after we moved there from Texas,to see Hart live in the WWF after a day of one of her famous fish fries.Miss them days.
Kevin Sullivan delivers two variations of the classic line about "the referee stepping on his hands" practically a year apart (as a Face in Georgia and as a Heel in Memphis)!😂B.W.
Always been a Chick Donavan fan. Never seen him do a promo til here. I wish Hart could have made him the champ I’ve always thought he appeared he could be lol. Great promo
These classic Memphis matches are the best....I enjoy the roughness of this era in pro wrestling....when the wrestlers seemed like they were men you seen every day in your own neighborhood....the dad's, cocky jocks, the "wimp's", hell even the quiet hot single guy that rode a motorcycle as his main transportation every day in the summers...the cool, scary, hot guy....I seriously love this stuff for that reason in itself...the wrestlers are just kinda average everyday men.....not the "superstars" of today's "entertainment".....I liked it when it was RASSLIN, not the over budgeted, circus spectacle it is today

This was so funny-Jimmy Hart saying that everyone is sick-Hart was a CHEAT THEN! I know, character, but some parts are NOT far from truth with some people.
Gee whizz is this &/or that Wrestling away back THEN from &/or of the Very Old Days from our very own Blast of the Past as it was used to be is at least it was away more better comparing of today of right now because away back there then it was character as in lot more characteristic rather than today's Wrestling right now of course. This &/or That is what I really do call Old School Wrestling as in (Ole Skool Rasslin) of course.

Thanks to Lance Russell for teaching me at an early age, the word "profusely". Great memories.
I grew up in the Northeast in the 70s in McMahonLand. Thanks to his interviews I was able to use "notwithstanding" in a sentence.

Jimmy promised he'd make him a champ. Sure did.
Memphis wrestling was great. Elvis loved it.
hal warner ....did he?....how do you know that, if I may ask?.... it's cool as hell if it's true
libra42ful I remember a story where Elvis bought out a whole section of seats (In the balcony? ) so he could watch without being disturbed.
@@libra42ful Guy Coffey says so on the Memphis Heat documentary. Also said Elvis dated one of the lady wrestlers.
Yeah Elvis was a huge wrestling fan. Ron Fuller even gave him a couple of training lessons.
Cornette talked about this on The Jim Cornette Experience this week!
Oh man i remember this! They were going at it!!
