Also wanted to echo the sentiments of the previous person in saying thanks so much for posting this. I just found this a little earlier, and am paying tribute now to Eddie, as it is 26 years ago that he passed away today. Great to know that there are some fellow Hot Stuff fans still out there, and that his contribution to the sport, and memory/legacy hasn't been forgotten. RIP Eddie.
I always wonder what would have happened if Eddie even lived 5 more years. I refuse to believe there would not have been a place for him during the turn of the century wrestling boom.
Excellent post. I only knew Hot Stuff during his UWF days, and this pieces together many puzzles...as to where he first started, supported by his fellow wrestler and referee dad Tommy. I loved his fireball trick, loved seeing a more active & mean Jimmy Hart, seeing Koko B Ware before his mid south days, seeing the original Midnight Express, dirty Dutch Mantell and who can forget the lovely Missy Hyatt. I thought he stole her from Hollywood John Tatum in the UWF 1986, but looks like they were together even earlier. One of my favorites.
10:18 Has the white guy ever practiced taking those bumps?? He took two of the worst bumps I’ve ever seen…he’s lucky if he has no side effects today from those two 😬 Number two is at 10:33
My all time favorite wrestler!
I wish there was another best of Eddie Gilbert.

Thank you very much for putting this out there
What a brilliant mind for the business, Eddie was great, and missed. ❤❤🎉🎉😊😊

He would've been a good manager in AEW.
Tommy Gilbert. Maybe the most underrated wrestlers of all time.
Fact: Tommy Gilbert Father of Eddie and Doug Gilbert.
How would you grade him as a referee?

The reason this is so good is because Hot Stuff really did want to be the man to depose the "King"
Tommy Gilbert sr.has a slight resemblance to Burt Reynolds
A number of wrestling families would be represented in this best collection of Eddie Gilbert.
Eddie the real king hot stuff Gilbert is my favorite wrestler all time on memphis wrestling on early years
I always think the pro wrestling world lost someone special when Eddie Gilbert died.
Both in the early 80s Tommy Gilbert and Bob Armstrong had at least one son in pro wrestling.

It wouldn't be Memphis Wrestling without a ring brawl or a studio brawl.
I thought when Lanny Poffo dressed in a cap and gown as the Genius in WWE he was silly until I saw him wearing a suit of amour.
Eddie Gilbert was tough, rough, smart wrestler.Old school.
Rest in peace Eddie Gilbert
