When Anthony wants to convey ideas, he speaks with his whole voice, from the diaphragm up. When he feels contempt, he speaks really high up in his throat and really enunciates his words. It's fun to watch.

I feel like I'm the only one who sees this.

Real shit imo Revival is much worse than 17. Both came with really overdramatic records and there are honestly like 3 good tracks from each of them, but 17 is super short at 22 minutes and something you can get over with. Revival is literally over 3 times its length which means a lot more shitty tracks to go through. The bad drastically outweighs the good on Revival more than 17. Besides, X knows what the contemporary style of hip hop sounds like, Eminem is still making pop music like its 2010.

fdane how is it pretentious exactly? Im almost 100% sure X has been through depression and i, along with a lot of other people (millions actually) can feel that hes genuine in some of those songs. It was a very boring album, ill give you that, but the emotions were there and there was some beautiful parts on it. Just because its not filled with 808s and hihats and bells and shit doesnt mean its trash.

But totally agree with everything you said about the Chainsmokers. Every. Single. Word. Their old music like #selfie or even don't let me down was a masterpiece compared to this.

EYTPS Pitchfork is now owned by Condé Nast. Since they acquired it, I see even more mainstream/“People” magazine-style articles. I’m sure that was a directive from the top brass at Condé Nast (and whoever owns them besides a 1%er) to kill any decent underground/rock bands and promote top-40 fluff to keep the kids vapid and stupid.
