@@K1989L The Tour de Fer I was riding has full length mudguards, a rack and a full dynamo light set! I was very happy with that 🌞 Thanks for watching, Felix.
Great to see another video from BikeRadar Diaries. There seems to be some great trails in your area, hopefully more gravel adventure videos are in the future!
Awesome stuff lads 👍 I did my first overnight bike packing trip on my MTB a few weeks ago, loved it. Though I took the soft option and stayed in a hotel 😁
Great video. Love the route and always cool to see different luggage set ups. If you want to show how anyone can enjoy a bike packing adventure you could try inviting a female cyclist. There's plenty of us gravel loving lasses to hit up in Bristol. 👍
Those Brockley Stores quiches are fab, I'm sure you enjoyed them. Hopefully you managed to quench your millennial thirst there too, as the coffee's just as good! Again, love seeing the fun you have on familiar roads.

Great video guys. I’ve always been put off bikepacking due to my fitness etc, but a little local adventure could be the answer!! I recognise so much of your trip but a Komoot route would be ace?! Please.
Hey Simon, we couldn't recommend small adventures enough! I have been meaning to get this on Komoot for a while, I'll make sure to pin a comment and reply once I finally get round to it! Cheers for watching, Felix

Hi Ben, thanks for watching! Yes there were quite a few differences. The Tour de Fer really is built perfectly for slower paced touring mostly on tarmac, whereas both the other models are suited to off road, muddier trails. They're fine to ride on the road too and are slightly lighter. I would recommend the gravel bikes if you want to do more lightweight bikepacking, rather than full touring mode. Cheers, Felix
@@bikeradar Hi Thanks a lot of this. I love the look of the Genesis bikes. Is there somewhere where I can look at the big differences between the 2 bikes? I keep looking videos but at the moment think i prefer the fugio but as an entry bike looking at the 10. what are your thoughts? or is there not much difference between them both? also i see people say that they are sized larger than usual. i am usually a 56cm road bike or large mountain bike. would you still recommend a large in the genesis or would a medium work?
I’m a golden oldie who’s going to buy a Cube Road bike next year when it comes out however I have a question about gravel bikes, after an epic ride like the one you’ve just done what state are the wheels in (do they need rebuilding) or indeed the rest of the bikes?
The wheels handled some fairly hefty rocks with no problems, despite Felix pinch flatting his rear tyre! All 3 of these bikes are built to withstand a much harder life than your normal road bike gets. Thanks for watching! From all at BikeRadar.
What do you think about our gravel adventure? Maybe you've been on your own bikepacking trip? Let us know in the comments! 🏕 🚲
No mudguards? You guys really like to punish yourselves.

Yes! Love the adventure videos you guys do. Reminds me why I like cycling and it's always a laugh. Hope to see more in the future :)
We love to hear this!! Thanks for watching, BikeRadar Diaries will return...
I see why the industry is making big bets on the Gravel category. It just looks / is fun!
The old school Mapei hat is definitely a fashion icon
"Jack's just loaded me up with his. Now I'm about to put mine in as well"
Haha. Should have expected this from someone with the name Ho
Very Niiice! Jack makes party on a bike.for the lads.
Damn you BikeRadar! Now I need to have a purple/pink bike too!

Good fun, boys. Exactly what adventure cycling should be. Thanks for the video.

i love outdoor bike traveling.very good💪
I was convinced “I’m gonna go say hi to the chickens” was a euphemism. The bikes are all pretty rad but the paint job on Jacks is amazing.
Great vid. Looks like a lot of fun!

Ordered a gravel bike months ago, still waiting for it to arrive. Thanks a lot for making the wait even more unbearable guys!
We hope the wait is over soon, thanks for watching!
My last road bike was purple, my new one is pink. I think it's only right that my next gravel bike should be both. Sweet socks. Pink is where it's at!
I think joe needs to come back
And Reuben. And the american.
@Andrew Dwyer yeah mate I agree just feels awkward now.
Yes was thinking the exact same thing
where is joe?
In the states people are using XC and trail bikes to do some gnarly trails like Colorado trail bike packing style
BikeRadar loves the idea of bikepacking the Colorado Trail! Maybe one day...
These are so good.
Thinking about doing this with a friend this summer on my XC bike!
Would be sickk
