The picture of Dell appearing between the images of the Soldier and Pyro could mean an Engineer was also hired. Nothing big, just thought it was worth mentioning.
I don't think so. If it was a separate Engineer, there's no reason to have used the same photo as Dell. It just seems like too cut and dry of an explanation for analog horror.
but that could also mean that engi getting hired was before soldier and pyro. and that must mean in theory that the creature has been terrorizing the sewer workers ever since arival before the story starts. hope that helps lee over at film theory.

Yeah, you can really tell the inspiration from "Lovecraftian" cosmic horror based analog horror series like Vita Carnis, Midwest Angelica, and especially Gemini Home Entertainment. It also reminds me of 'Still Wakes the Deep' for no particular reason.
They even shout out Gemini in the second tape, with it appearing in the broadcasting list.

The Doctor turns around, with his clipboard, completely unaware of the residual silence awaiting him.
The Doc hits the lift. Level 77? He presses it unknowingly. The Lift door shuts. Lights go out.
"Hello?"
The sound of the hatch door reverberates and opens below him.
"Huh. That's new."
He realizes that the lift is speeding at 9X speed all the way down instead of upwards.
"NO! NO! NOOOOO..!"
"AAAHHHH AHHHH! IT BURNS! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!"
"Mohamed?"
Then he hears a gibbing sound, as though a body just popped.
"Stupid Doc Oct!"
Not realising that he would be experimented on next.
The Doctor proceeds forward. It felt funny. It was warm. There was a smell of Mahogany wood.
There appears to be a man waiting for him at the corner of his eye. The sound of the flick of the familiar Zippo then the sound of its clasp as the flame is shut.
But there was no cigarette. The Doctor knew he was about to be mentally tortured.
A light bulb turned on. There was only one hanging by the ceiling. He realized he was at the bottom of the hospital. There was the stench of the rotting bodies.
He noticed crawlies of all kind: maggots, flies and even naked men consuming the rotting flesh.
"What the fuck is going on?" Asked the startled Doctor.
"If you sent me here for cheap thrills, this is not the-"
THUD.
And all he could see was darkness.
He awoke to find himself at a bar. Everything seemed normally is he slowly arose from his slumber. Only to realize he's arms were handcuffed, and there was noose behind him.
There were 500 guests. All clad beautifully in white, peach and lavender. It was as if he accidentally entered a ballroom, and that he was trespassing.
It never really felt to me like it had enough of an identity to stand on its own. A lot of it is painfully close to other AH projects. The thing the series really needs is quality SFM/TF2 gameplay for more immersion - What it's given in that department is okay, but it needs more. The rest is company presentations/research logs and the like that you see in like every other project.
The standards for good AH are pretty high these days. This project could definitely go somewhere, but it doesn't seem to be too active unfortunately.

I enjoy the feelin of analouge horror, but I have some trauma issues that were heavily triggered after watching VITA CARNIS and I stepped away. This was a nice little taste back into it. 😊
I love the idea that the creature just decided to hide after escape, no immediate rampage like most, it just hid...and waited. Its a great concept.

And literally EVERY analog horror. "I can't move" "I can feel something under my skin" "It hurts", the vision of the monster when its prey is near, the outlined monster (that part with the rat), faces appearing like at 9:30 and so on. It's just missing reversed child music or very fast children music playing in a disturbing/broken fashion while someone is getting mutilated and boom you got 100% accurate Analog Horror to EVERY SINGLE other video out there.
