    Totally agree with you on the unicorn thing. I felt like the Starbucks drink just looked like Lisa Frank threw up in a cup and then the whole unicorn theme started getting far too excessive.

    I’m so over the unicorn stuff. It’s all very Lisa Frank, which is cute, but it looks like makeup my 7-year-old niece would play with. I’m a 32yr old woman. I’m not highlighting my face in blue or pulling out these toy-looking items from my purse while in public 😂 it’s just so gimmicky to me. I don’t get it 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Tiffany... Estee Lauder's Little Black Primer is the best mascara primer ever. It is black so it's not a hassle trying to cover up all the white and makes a huge difference. I guarantee that if you try it you will love it and be talking about it on this channel :-)

    • @michellekelly2937
      @michellekelly2937 6 лет назад +1

      Angelica, Is there a difference in the formula between the L'Oreal Telescopic black tube and the gold tube? When I looked at them, it looks like the black one is carbon black, a more intense black, and the ones in the gold tube are just "regular" black and blackest black. I would think the only difference between the two is that the Carbon Black is a more intense black. Is that right? Thanks!

  • @Nitequelle

    The red rash can happen with natural deodorants that contain baking soda. Schmidt's makes a sensitive skin formula that works pretty well and is easily found at Pharmaca or Whole Foods. Lavillan is a roller ball that you can order on Amazon that doesn't contain Aluminum and works REALLY well but isn't all natural. Any of these options will require a detox period though, while your body clears the pores blocked by the aluminum from standard deodorants so you may be a little funky for a week, charcoal soaps help though! I personally use aluminum-free deodorants to keep my white shirts from getting yellow in the armpit region...

    You should use the hack for the ardell lashes. Cut the bottom side of the lasses into three sections each with a magnet attached and apply the bottoms separately and they entire lash should have a nice curve to it 👍🏼

    I also almost gave up on natural deodorant, trying soooo many that didn't work and then I found Soapwalla! Works so well but takes some getting used to applying with your fingers (comes in a little tub). Then I started to get the pit rash! Did some research and apparently it's the baking soda in natural deodorants so I stopped using it altogether. Now Soapwalla makes one for sensitive skin without the baking soda and it works without the rash. Highly recommend.

    On the makeup sponges L’Oréal has a good dupe for the beauty blender makeup sponge. It is the purple sponge that is the really good one.
    On winter clothes after Christmas and into January and February is a good time to stock up on winter clothes as they are often on sale for a good price. For examples I just bought 4 pairs of leggings like pants from Costco that are really warm for $14.99 or basically $15. I initially got one pair of navy blue and one pair of charcoal grey and loved them so much I went back and got one more of each color. That is 4 pairs of pants that I love for $60 and are a good staple that I will wear for years. I have gotten pants and skirts off of the clearance rack that were originally $100 for $20 or less and still wear them and love them. And don’t forget if you don’t have time to wear them this winter there is next winter and many winters here after to wear them. So January, February, and into March is the time to buy winter clothes.
    For summer clothes it is August and September is a good time to stock up on summer clothing. For example I love Clark’s flip flops and they are normally about $40 a pair but you n August and September they go on sale at Dillard’s for about $10 a pair.

    Totally agree with you on the natural deodorant thing, I tried it for months, three different brands, found a nice clay one that worked but it left chunky, ball-y residue and was gross... tried Tom’s and finally got used to it and could wear it without stinking and then noticed my underarms were really dark where I apply it... I immediately stopped using and over five months later am STILL dealing with the dark underarms, it’s slowly going away but that should NOT happen! I’m scared it will permanently be there.

    Hi Tiffany, I learned a great tip from Lisalisasd1. Her dermatologist recommended she moisturize her underarms after a bath/shower to help with skin irritation. I had never heard of applying moisturizer to the underarms before, but it makes a lot of sense, and it does really help. Just make sure to use a FRAGRANCE FREE moisturizer such as the CeraVe cream or lotion. I don't moisturize after every shower, but I do moisturize after shaving to soothe the area. If you can do it on a day that you're not going out, or in the evening after a bath/shower, that would be ideal. You want to avoid applying deodorant right after shaving if at all possible, and if you're not going out one day, don't even bother with deodorant to give your pits a break! All of this will help keep your underarms more comfortable. : )

The last beauty blender I bought was kind of a dud, weird texture and stained (the pink one) the first time I used it...I never had one stain before. That made me reach for my real techniques one. Hated it the first like 5-6 uses...now I think I like it better than my bb, it has a great finish and I do like the different shapes and edges. BB should experiment with the different shapes.

    I developed a rash under my arms after switching deodorant scents. Itched really bad and even spread to my arms and legs. I realized i had the rash anywhere i washed right after my armpits. My dermatologist said it was contact dermatitis. I switched to natural deodorant assuming it was the aluminum i was reacting to. took about a month to go away after switching. I tried a few different ones (native, crystal stone, lavanilla) and i couldn’t stand my armpits sweating and the odor so i went back to my original after the rash was gone. One day i’ll try again but my hormones are still whacked out from having my son almost 2 years ago.

It stays put even after i put some eye drops hrs later after putting on. It also holds the curl after curling my sad straight lashes too. It never flake or smudge on me. It doesn't! When my hair was long, I really liked the renew. However, you DO need to stick with it through the initial month or two as it's balancing your scalp. You could notice a bit more oil production at first. I went through it around the month mark and it lasted a few weeks. Now I can go longer between shampoos.

Just throwing it out there. I think you would be a lot more impressed with the flower beauty one than the other copy cats. It’s about $8 and some change. Also, I love make up but really-I do the eye roll thing with all this unicorn stuff too. Yes it’s cute and collectible but..I just can’t use anything with pigment like that. What's the best skin looking foundation that is made in very fair shades and won't clog my pores?

    • @mademoisellesachaaa
      @mademoisellesachaaa 6 лет назад

      For context, the Nars Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in their lightest shade Terre Neuve is too dark for me, and I have tons of success so far with the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in the lightest shade. It's light coverage, I don't have any issues with blocked pores, SPF 15, and I find it has a really radiant finish that isn't oily but gives me a great glow. I'd say it's not necessarily the perfect pale match, but it's sheer so it tones down my paleness just a bit without looking out of place or orange. I use the Nars Soft Matte concealer in Chantilly with that to up my coverage in areas where I have redness, dark circles, or any blemishes, and that's my fair skin foundation solution :) I prefer lighter coverage so it doesn't disappoint me, but I imagine if you are used to something high coverage than you might be a bit disappointed. But the way it kind of smooths over my face while still showing skin underneath just can't be beat by anything else I've tried.

    my husband is super concerned about me getting breast cancer from deodorant so he has been buying me native deodorant. most days its fine but random days even when I am doing nothing to make me sweat I feel kinda wet in my pits and worry I smell. Today I came home and made him sniff my pits he swears I don't smell.
    also I love the moisture surge but I actually switched to neutrogena hydroboost for extra dry skin is amazing my skin feels so plump even when I put on makeup my skin just seems like baby skin when I touch it.

    Native deodorant is the best. It can cause a reaction but its from the baking soda, your armpits have to get used to it. It's the best and I have tried them all! You can order it online.

    Have you tried the Tula Hydrating Night and Day cream? That way you don’t have to use two different products. 🙂

    I just switched to natural deodorant and I love the brand I found. The company is called Native and the coconut vanilla is so good!

    I just had a frustrating morning and this video is exactly what I needed. A little salty, a little rant-y :P I'm also over the unicorn, gimmicky stuff. I'm 25 and I still wouldn't use those products, they don't appeal to me in comparison to sleeker packaging or more glamorous packaging options like Charlotte Tilbury's. Even Glossier involves pink, gives you stickers in your package, but still manages to have sleek looking packaging that you don't feel embarrassed to pull out of your bag. I used to buy more of Too Faced's products but now I don't even give them a chance, I'm tired of the gimmicky marketing that feels like it won't last, the inconsistency in products, the raunchy names, the cheapy packaging that breaks or doesn't feel very solid, the impractical colour choices. The only product of theirs I would consider buying again is their Natural Eye palette, and I wanted to buy it for a young woman on my Christmas shopping list, but ultimately went with another option because the names are just too suggestive. I don't get the disconnect there, some of their products are so cute and juvenile...and then the names say otherwise. At least with Nars having a blush named Orgasm, their package doesn't look like it's designed for children.

    Saw at least one other person mentioned Native deodorant. Wanted to say I like it also!!! I believe it’s natural, it says paraben free and aluminum free. I use the coconut & Shea sent. Love it and would recommend!!!

    I noticed that about the Lancer too! I was afraid that Sephora sent me the wrong thing at first. So annoying.

    I got extra stinky too after getting pregnant/having a baby and NO natural deodorant has worked for me except for schmit's. So if you're ever in the mood to give natural deodorants a try again maybe pick that one up. Toms of maine, jason, lavanilla, none of those worked for me either.

    I had the same problem with deodorant after having my son! I can’t find anything-natural or not- that works for me! I may have to suck it up and order the cashmere mist.

    Tiffany they aren't discontinuing the original Clinique Moisture Surge, it's just gonna be available online not inside Sephora stores!

      I really hope so!! I've heard SO many different things- even from Clinique reps. But we shall see! I hope you're right. It seems like they wouldn't discontinue the main product that inspired the whole line of moisture surge products.

    I've tried the original moisture surge and the moisture surge 72 hours and I definitely feel like there is a difference!!! LOVE the original. The 72 hour to me feels like its just sitting on my skin and not actually soaking in... like what the heck!!! Any recommendations for super dry skin that are affordable-ish lol??

    You probably got itchy with the deoderant because of the baking soda. I used lavanila too and the same thing as far as it not working for me happened after a while. Try Schmidts deoderant. It is absolutely amazing for more natural deoderant. I have a strong odor and many deoderants don't work for me but that one does!
