I think back as to the young woman I was at 18. It’s scary to think about what I’d have done having a mansion. All kinds of messes! Probably would have ended up with, unbeknownst to me, all types of criminals under my roof. Yikes!

Interesting tidbit: Amy's former home in New York (46 West 56th St) still stands! It has a chain restaurant on the ground floor but still rents apartments upstairs. The facade is still quite beautiful! I think of her as I walk past sometimes.

The Crocker name is still well known in Sacramento. Aimee's parents began to collect art before she was born and their mansion eventually became a well respected museum and is still very active. Housing subdivisions carry the name as well. When I moved here there was also a Crocker bank, but I think they were bought out by Bank of America. Sacramento, despite being California's capital, is a very working class, unremarkable city. It's funny that such a wild and uninhibited person should have sprung up out of a city better known for being the tomato and camellia capital of California. Very interesting video. I'll make a point to check out her grave the next time I'm downtown.

Oddie! You’ve outdone yourself again! What a life she had. I’m in Sacramento right now. I’d love to see her final resting place. We have the Crocker Art Museum here and can’t help but wonder if there is anything inside about her life. Or was she to ‘wild’ and Bohemian to speak of. I’ll let you know of course. I do wonder about her massive art collection? What happened to her adopted children? The photos are stunning. So are the olde post cards. I’ll bet that mansion in San Francisco most likely burned in the aftermath of the big earthquake in 1906 Well thank you very much for this treasure of her life’s story. I’ll bet she had all of high society in New York abuzz with her unusual lifestyle. Oh well we have but one life to live. Might as well make the most of it. Oddie when are you going to do another thrift, junk, or antique store deep dive into their depths? Love you much say hello to Oddette for me!

Well presented as usual with compelling music and visuals.
Ayn Rand's head would have exploded at this bio: a perfect Fountainhead villain. And the lady had charm and verve, but I suspect she significantly depleted her fortune. Not that her father was exactly John Galt; he was a good lawyer who grabbed railroad stock at precisely the right time.
An oversexed, imaginative rich girl whose every whim was indulged? No wonder she was willing to do it again. Out of 100 billion human souls over 200,000 years, she was one of the 10,000 luckiest. She'd have ranked higher but for the fact that the richest and most pampered vintage 1864 human would have encountered excruciating dental pain at some point over 77 years of life.

Rich, Bohemian, and loves attention...hmmm...she'd be giving the Kardashians a run for their money in today's world, no doubt! I do wonder, for all the entertainment people like Amy give the everyday world, what kind of people they are. What did those who knew them up close see and feel? What sort of friend was Amy, what kind of mother was she? You know, the things that really matter. She loved her drama, that's for sure. Thanks again, Oddie, for another fine video! 🙂

To me she was a selfish person it’s not like she worked hard for her money she inherited it yes it was her money to do with what she wanted I was hoping that near the end her life she would have done something to help her fellow citizens. She wasn’t a nice lady to actually throw her adopted child Out that was wrong. But I am not here to judge God judges other comments said that they would be her friend I wouldn’t wanna be her friend not me I don’t like selfish people such a sheThank you Again for all your hard work May god bless you and your family 🙏🏻

@karenroot450 No, he states that 'she became reunited with her mother from a previous incarnation', presumably upon her death, BECAUSE she died. He does not state, nor can I find noted elsewhere, that she actually saw the vision again just BEFORE her death, as predicted.
Doesn't mean it didn't happen, only that if it did no one noted or understood what was happening or published it.
Even if it did happen, Aimee was quite possibly too ill from the pneumonia and shutdown of organs to speak. So apparently, we will never know.

What a splendid life, and woman Oddie, thank you for sharing her story so beautifully. I suspect, that had I been born into her circumstances and time…I might well have taken a very similar approach to life. How wonderful to be able to effectively live as she wished, not weighed down by the social constraints most women of wealth were hindered by.
I believe her issue with the adopted Daughter, was that the child she gave birth to was sired by Aimee’s current Husband. I think he was the first of the Russian Princes, who she divorced. I have nothing but admiration for women like her, who lived life fully, and by their own rules. She must have also been intelligent and witty, to have caught and held the attentions of so many men of note.
To die with no regrets, having done and experienced everything she wanted to, rubbing shoulders with interesting people, regardless of their social position, religion, or race cannot be said of many people. I hope it will be said of me.
    Much love and light…🖤🇨🇦

So glad you enjoyed it Tamarra, thank you so much my friend!
She was really blessed to be born with such a spirit for adventure, and to have the means to fulfil her inclinations.
Quite a few in the comment section saying that she was only like that because of her wealth, but there were many people just as wealthy as her who were not adventurous souls. She would’ve been exactly the same if she was poor, but perhaps her adventures would have not been so exotic.
The fact that she had no regrets at the end of her life, shows that she thoroughly enjoyed her time here.
