    Too much focus on the beachside. The majority of residents in Palm Coast live in the sections west of the 95.

    Everyone is talking about beaches, restaurants, airports, traffic, weather, shopping etc. I’d like to hear more about city codes. I’ve heard that you’re not allowed to have your car parked on the driveway, you can’t have your boat and RV parked/stored on your own property. Also about grass, fencing, and actually everything regarding your property, including all kinds of insurances home owners need. I’ve heard it’s like HOA you just don’t pay for it. I’m currently in Florida, about 120 miles west of Jacksonville and we’d like to relocate to Palm Coast just need more info. Thanks.

      Hello, You are correct, you can not store boats or rvs in your driveway. All 4 tires of a vehicle must be on concrete, you can not have a car parked on grass..i was having some cement work done and i had to park my car on my grass just while they did the pour (about 20 min) i got a ticket for having my car in the grass in that tiny 20 min window! I was an actual resident in the B section for many years. Dont buy in a flood zone and dont buy in an evacuation zone. Do a lot of research on the different sections and what ones to avoid and dont buy in a bad section. Prop taxes were super low at 2k/yr on a 200k house.

      @@floridacoastalteam-lptrealty it's basically all dependent on neighbor policing, really, but there's a contingency of the town that's very proud of the rules "to protect property values". People get away with stuff al the time, but it's stupid stringent.

      You are right about that.. I love my French Toast and consider myself a little bit of an expert (based on my waistline)...The big miss is that they don't have maple syrup.. So, if Metro is watching and reading. Make Maple syrup an option, even if it is an upgrade....

    • @CarlWithACamera
      @CarlWithACamera Год назад

      @@floridacoastalteam-lptrealty I always just bring a small bottle of my own. When I moved from Boca Raton to The Philippines in 2016 I actually packed, in my checked bag, a bottle of maple syrup, thinking there's no way I'll find any in the stores here. I knew many Filipinas in my career days back in Boston and introduced the ones I dated to maple syrup as they'd never heard of the stuff; they put honey on pancakes. Was very happy to find it available in most of the western grocery stores here.
      Anyway, I was checking out your channel as I'm planning to return to the US next year, when, hopefully, inflation has abated a bit and new home construction starts to pick up, leveling off or possibly even dropping home prices a bit. I'll be 62 next year, not looking for an active nightlife there, so quiet Palm Coast seems like a good potential spot. I'm into cycling and the traffic seems like it might not be too bad in that area. My plan is to split time between a place in the US where I can breath clean air, eat healthy western food and keep myself fit half of each year, and then travel internationally the other half. Travel is hectic and not always great on the diet, so I want a place to return to and restore my health and fitness. I loved Florida for that the first time I moved there, in 2009, and so it's to Florida I'll return again.
      I'm looking online at several areas,
      Palm Harbor
      Safety Harbor
      Tarpon Springs
      Nokonis
      Osprey
      Venice
      Boca Raton
      Jupiter
      Palm Coast
      My plan is to drop back into the country, go directly to a Mazda dealer, set myself up with a new car and then travel the entire state for a month or two to find an area that catches my interest, then buy a home. I'll want to touch base with a realtor in each area so when I get to the St Augustine/Palm Coast areas I'll contact you. Meanwhile I'll check out your videos.

    "Small town, quaint" isn't really the feel. There's nothing "old" or "native" feeling. Lots of yankees, code restrictions, and rich folks running the place. The town is run by realtors and construction special interests; they buy all the politicians. The end result is that a forest could get demolished over night by quick rezoning and approval to turn every inch into a dollar. Been here a year, and I've seen a lot of green turned into "green" without notice. It's not homey at all. I like the location, but there's an iron grip on the town

    That’s right; simply move on. Don’t move to Palm Coast, it is already packed to the walls and traffic is horrible for a town this size. Plus, they are Now building hundreds of new homes which means our Traffic here is going to go Gridlock. There was NO thinking involved by our city council and mayor when they decided to build all of these new homes and Absolutely NO additional roads or road improvements to carry all of this current and soon to come traffic. It already takes an hour to get to Publix, just 4-5 miles away. Move somewhere else…..

    Do flood insurance costs vary greatly across Palm Coast? Thanks

    • @floridacoastalteam-lptrealty
      @floridacoastalteam-lptrealty  Год назад

      It does.. There are areas that are on the canals that are in the good flood zone (Zone X) and there are areas away from water but are lower-lying areas that are in flood zond A and AE. This is one of the first things we check when a buyer identifies a home they like. We look to see if flood insurance will be required or just recommended.

    I always find it comical when folks say Jax & Daytona have International Airports. Daytona’s airport is on the same level as Sarasota or Savannah 😂. And Jax might have 1 flight out West past Chicago like in Denver or LA 😂. Just because the small FL airports fly to the Caribbean doesn’t really make it international lol.

    • @floridacoastalteam-lptrealty
      @floridacoastalteam-lptrealty  6 месяцев назад

      @@floridacoastalteam-lptrealty I like Jax’s airport too. It’s clean & efficient, easy to get in & out of. (If you have a car). It’s my 2nd favorite in FL behind Tampa’s. But the flights out of Jax are just so limited. If it’s not on the East Coast or in the South…good luck finding a direct flight.

    • @floridacoastalteam-lptrealty
      @floridacoastalteam-lptrealty  7 месяцев назад

The developers run everything. They call the shots, buy every bit of land even if it's restricted. They keep building and building and now instead of out they build up. 3 and 4 story apts. everywhere. But do they improve the roads? Nope. Traffic is horrible.
