When you ducked down in front of the camera I thought to myself, it's that time of year. He's growing one of those "huntin' season" beards! At least, that's what I called it when, as November approached, my husband's beard appeared. Kind of a tradition around here. Gave me a chuckle, as it took me back to that time. Thanks Doug for bringing back that memory, and for the entertaining video!

I was thinking it would be cool to use the shaving to cast in resin and make a lid for it. Just my idea. I want to one day live somewhere where I can give what you do a try. Nice video and cool ideas.

Oh. I was thinking because the white and the spots of color they would show in some clear resin. Good to know they would vanish. I have tinkered with some resin but I am not very good at it yet. It can be a pricey hobby to get into. :) You are amazing though. I love watching your videos. Thank you.

Well I love it...thanks for thinning out the side walls...I've been seeing way too many thick walled bowls lately..not necessarily your bowls but around the videos I've seen..I'm not sure if it's a trend but I like the thinner finer look of the thin walls...yeah I know it gets tricky but it pays off in the final look...

Awesomeness Doug. I showed my 86 year old mom (who has Alzheimer's and has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer for the 3rd time. Very tiny fortunately) and her words were "So very cool and neat looking. I want one" She gave it a thumbs and again commented how she wanted one. Is that possible Doug? I told mom I would probably have to save some to be able to purchase but I would see what you said about. Oh what a neat idea using that egg carton thing. I have some of those from the dollar tree, you use to make ice, is that what it is? Those resin balls look like marbles. Wow love how it looks after you scrape it off. Those resin balls are beautiful. Oh cool, Jiggsy's shed! I love the bowl it's really cute! turned out nice dougy . reminds me of them glasses and im not sure if there was plates and bowls to but them old glasses from the 70s . the ones that had the poke a dots on them . time for a new sticker board buddy .any way nice job brother take care turn safe .

Great looking bowl. The new camera does capture the colors well. Once I finish school in February, I'm thinking of finally dragging out my dad's old lathe and learning how to use it. You and a couple of others have inspired me to give it a shot.

It's a solid project. I like it. I've had trouble with air sticking to the inside of silicone molds, too. Nice and colorful, Doug.
Thank you Jay, the silicone deteriorates and the casting don't seem to looks as good due to it, not under pressure doesn't help any either.

I love it! I know your wife did too. I wonder if you could use those shavings in making molded forms you do with paper mache? Talk about stability and longevity verse just paper and paste.

@@PohlBarnProductions yeah, I image they do. I was thinking of more like a paper mache process itself as a side project. I wondered if it might have more of a fiberglass like effect. If that worked you might could find a use for it on your farm.
