Marcus och Martinus Gunnarsen slog igenom redan som tioåringar när de vann Norges motsvarighet till Lilla Melodifestivalen.
Under sitt dryga decennium i rampljuset har de bland annat sålt ut en egen arenaturné i Europa, turnerat med artister som Jason Derulo och uppträtt på kronprinsessan Victorias 40-årsfirande med en specialskriven låt.
2016 utsågs duon till "Årets spellemann", det tyngsta priset på Spellemann-galan, som är den norska motsvarigheten till Grammisgalan.
Deras största hit “Elektrisk” blev den låt som legat längst på topp 10-listan i Norge med sina 66 veckor. De vann svenska Masked Singer 2022 och flyttade sin bas till Stockholm, där de arbetar med svenska låtskrivare och producenter.
De Melodifestival-debuterade 2023 med "Air, som" blev det första bidraget i Melodifestivalens historia att gå direkt till final utan att någon av de tävlande artisterna vid någon tidpunkt hade bott i Sverige. I finalen slutade Marcus & Martinus på andra plats och blev den tangerat bäst placerade helt utländska akten någonsin, tillsammans med Arja Saijonmaa (1987).

It's crazy how Melodifestivalen stagings and camera work are even better than those of many Eurovision shows.

I would guess it helps that it's the same broadcaster designing both the stage and the staging.
SVT produced a lot of ESCs - in cooperation of course or sometimes by there own in another country as I know

This staging is pure CINEMA. There's Matrix, Tron and Star Wars in the visuals, styling and colour palette; camera angles, short cuts and tight closeups in the style of Darren Aronofsky and some technicolor-inspired saturated red tones like a cherry on top. And the ending? Pure cyber punk sci-fi vibes. Exceptional from start to finish. this is e v e r y t h i n g.

You can say all you want about Sweden, but they have always treated ESC in the most professional way possible. This is modern, sleek, feels like the soundtrack of a teen drama series!

Just a humble opinion from an average Joe here in the UK, but one who has watched, studied and felt eurovision since the 80s and (again humbly emphasised) consistently knows what a winning song looks and feels like... This is it sweden if you want the best chance at back to back wins.

It's not just modern it's futuristic. It's catchy, it's moving, the staging is crazy good. The hook is something special. It's ahead of everything already sent... It truly is what it says in the title!

@@Stinapina Jeg tror de satser på karrieren sin i Sverige nå de siste årene. Etter at de var med på The Masked Singer så har de vel blitt mer kjente i Sverige? Og de samarbeider med svenske låtskrivere og produsenter. I Norge så har de fortsatt det imaget om å være de unge guttene som vant MGP jr, selv om det var for 12 år siden. Jeg tror det er smart av dem å prøve seg i Sverige, for sceneshowet og mulighetene hadde ikke vært like bra på MGP scenen!
