Man this brings back memories. From 1976 to 81 I drag raced a 440Z my dad’s buddies 340Z and my 634 Puma in the WSRF racing association. We won just about every race. My dad was a set up guru. And I weighed 150 lbs at 6’3” I started in the 7 th grade. Arcticcat ruled everything back then.
My 1990 Mach1 583 rave would do over 100Mph and my buddy had 1998 Arctic Cat Zr 580 and FLAT OUT id beat him inch by inch it seams Wide Open on Lake we be side by side and I'd Inch away lol....but my 1993 T-CAT With Stingers would Run 118-120Mph on Quarter Mile on Radar!!!!!!Best run ever was 121Mph on the Q-Mile....Flat out I'd give it....127-130Mph...I found at 100Mph you get impaired vision lol
snowmobile8003 Jaws pipes, have to cut a new hole in the belly pan for it to exit, then it just has a piece of plastic over the oem hole that is pop riveted on.
+Doug Lockenour Don't really have any of those numbers. It is set up strictly for 1000' speed runs, so I can give you all the info there, and you can message me for set up info. Ran 115.49 last weekend and hope to keep going up.
@@mark3972 I was running a factory length 121" track as the class I was running in wouldn't allow a bigger track than it came with from the factory. It was a speed track, so very short paddles. Believe I had 244 picks (non-carbide) that I would sharpen after a couple races. Rear suspension was OEM. Was able to hook very well if the ice wasn't chewed up terribly.
A couple of reasons, regretting it now of course. We hadn't gotten good ice in the last two years, I was only able to race twice each of the two years which sucks when putting lots of time and money into it during the off season. Also, I'm a student just finishing up this Spring and I don't have the money or time to make this thing really fast and competitive with the big guys. My trail sled now is a 2012 XF 1100T which I've been putting some money into to do some hill climbs races as long as we get some snow around here so look for some videos on that in the future! Thanks for watching!
@@brodyolson6 wait wait wait. You said you didn't have time or money to make that thing fast? Then what what the hell did i just watch on the video!? Was that slow???
@@EmilForsberg_GRYBO Well, sort of. The sled was fast enough for 1st or 2nd place in most of the events I entered it in but I mostly raced on the amateur side of NSSR events. The professional side of NSSR was running over 130mph in improved stock 1000. Now that I've graduated and have a full time job working with powersports for a living it's much easier to see how the speed of this sled could be improved but it would still cost thousands to keep up with the pro's!
@@brodyolson6 Very interesting. Those profetional drag sled tuners and stuff make some absolutley insane machines. I remember one of my cottage neighbors telling me about how he used to drag race in the 90s. He said that 1 Polaris Storm 800 that he had did 0-100kph or about 0-60mph in 1.1 seconds. I heard that and was absolutely in shock, as we got a pretty fast ski doo 1200 that does it in AT LEAST 3 times that amount most likley more. And i thought that was fast. Going that quickly in a sled from the 90s is probably not something i would be comfortible with. But the dude was a badass had some other movie worthy sled moments as well.

Snowmobiles May be one of the fastest land vehicles ever produced
Gotta love those Artic Cat Speedometers! My Z570 would wrap it around pass 100mph! Lol
Except, the thunder cat 1000, will do the 109
Your z570 won't do 100
I got my 570 to 100 but on a river with a light rider

That's a beast
What pipes are you running to fit under the zr plastics?

Where you racing? If it's close I'll bring my 94 vmax 4 with a turbo runs around 148mph at home
Please 🙏 post some videos 📹!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋🤠

My zrt 600 just ran 112 at the radar runs last weekend 1000ft
No it didn't
You'd be lucky to get 100mph flat out lolol

I was at an ice race and a guy had an arctic cat that ran 141mph in 1000 feet. It was insane. Fun time, I went 95 on a 600 twin.
I hit 112 in 1000 ft on my buds thundercat 900 crazy fast! Had more to go !
