A custom OS is usually an Optimised version of Windows with minimal background Processes, Reduced latency and will help improve FPS and performance on Minecraft. However today we're going to be making our own using NTLite!
If you are always looking for a good OS like I am then I think making it yourself might be the best option just make sure to test it on a virtual machine before using it on your main system!
As always you are welcome to experiment with these operating systems on another drive or partition but MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR DATA as installing any of these will wipe your drive!

Yeah I saw lots of videos on NTLite which were very long and boring so I decided to try and learn myself to make this video

At 17:33 you also have to consider that the original windows iso is highly compressed and the one you created isn't

nope, the ISO from MCT is compressed
if you want compression use high-compression (ESD) but it's a pain if you are running a mid-specs system like me
@@xpower7125 when you compare the original iso and one created with the tool even if there were no changed settings the original one would be smaller that's what I meant
you dont gotta use his, you can just take drivers from your own pc b4hand and put em inside NTLite while configuring windows so you dont have to worry about drivers later on@@portzzyy
Nothing stopping us from using the same tools to create such a compressed iso

Great vid!! I was thinking of making a safe OS for when I have a kid in like 20-30 years and this helped out a bunch! Even if I don’t use it, NTLite seems like a really neat tool.

I've been responsible for building Windows images for deployment since the 1990s. Back in the days of Windows 95/98 and Windows Nt3.5/4.0 we used to pull the hard drives out of new PCs and used an ICS Masstor drive duplicator to copy a master image to 8 hard drives at time. We deployed several thousand desktops that way. When Windows 2000 came out, I built a RIS Server and the techs could PXE boot a PC and reimage it over the network. It was an improvement over disk to disk copies, but when Windows Server 2008, I replaced RIS with WDS and began using MDT to build images.
My duties have taken me away from building desktop images, so I haven't gotten to play around with Microsoft ADK, but I'm curious how it stacks up against NT Lite. NT Lite seems to allow a lot more control than I expected from a third party product. If anyone has experience using Microsoft's MDT or ADK and NT Lite, please share your thoughts on how they compare.

I might try and make something similar, for the desktop background I might try and put arrow background in there. Oh, and let’s not forget, I will also get rid of windows 11s crappy system UI sounds and replaced them with either Windows 7, eight or 10.
I clicked on this while looking for reviews on ghost spectre and then realized that your the same guy I used to download all my minecraft texture packs from lmao. Small world even online.
There is also NLite that lets you do the same thing but with old versions of Windows (2000, XP and Server 2003)

I have seen that if you choose English (world) as the region option, the installation is without bloatware, compared to more common regions. In my case, I chose inlges (international), because I didn't find (world). Works.

For the wallpaper you can probably make a python script or smth that changes the wallpaper, turn it into an exe file and put it into the post-install stuff

Way back when XP was a thing I began using these tools as well as MS OEM and ODM tools to customize windows installs.
I stopped when I moved to opensource only
It's crazy that the most accepted PC OS requires so much hacking to make it usable. My biggest issue with windows 10+ is the incessant updating and required reboots. My computer runs for months at a time. If I had to rearrange all my apps and windows every time windows 10 wants to reboot, I'd go nuts. I'm still on windows 7 and loving it.. I have made some win10 machines with debloating scripts and have mixed results. They still REALLY want to update.

I’m sure this has been asked and answered , but is the process relatively the same for windows 10? Just get my windows 10 iso, if I’m on 10 instead of 11?
Yup the same, just diff in system apps
IDK if this helps but Wallpapers for windows (even as far back as win 2000 this is true) "C:\Windows\Web" is where all wallpapers are stored. hope this helps Edit: someone already posted this. Maybe this is true for the iso or we can find where they are stored and replace them ourselves

they got an pre-installed applications and/or using an another app than NTLite.
In the new NTLite, there is a feature to add in files!
MS Edge is loaded with telemetry you don't want as well as adds, they can be disabled with a short change to your etc file but, just ditch it

Finally, tinkering with Linux looks not as bad as with the Windows. But you can still break your PC with Linux :D (you really can manage low-level device commands, so, yeah, but not until you'll know how)

When it comes to making your own OS:
Don't forget to use ELF headers instead of PE
Don't forget to isolate low-level system apss from high-level, otherwise you'll get core level errors when system apps will fault, and limit the vice versa too, otherwise you'll get famous Windows misdesign - when having slow IO Device response time makes audio drivers to hang

when i go to boot up same as your iso i get a registry files are missing or corrupted. what's the issue here really? I didnt see you mess with registry option in ntlite

Hey so I have a custom os and changed my resolution by accident and my screen is black I can only go into my bios (AMD) any fixes would appreciate it
On the uncommon instances where I have to install windows on one of my devices instead of Linux I go with a NT lite customized version of Windows 11 Pro for Workstations on the insider canary branch, debloat then tweak/config the system further post install, get sysinternals, powertoys, and other useful utilities, harden my system against attacks, get my used apps up and running, then install rainmeter for my ultimate rice

hi, i'm trying to make a debloated version of 11. i have your preset up and i'm assuming that the keyboard layout says uk on it means the preset has loaded. However all the bloatware is still checked. is it possible to upload a new version of the preset w/o the bloatware? Otherwise, its nice straight to the point vid.

quick question:what does the "minimal process" reg key actually do ? i know its self explainatory but what does it remove ?
@dupei it removes almost if not every bloatware pre-installed inside windows 11, and only gives you the basics, like calculator, paint, notepad, solitare, microsoft store, and etc.

Couldnt you use windows 10/11 ADK with dism and sysprep to make a custom image those tools are free.
