I have a friend that got it when her husband had an affair. Her doctor told her he'd rather have patents with HIV than diabetes because these days, the prognosis is much better and the medication keeps levels so low it doesn't spread the way it did before and people can live a long, healthy life. I mentioned him when she got her diagnosis but she was too depressed to see any hope in her situation. Her son ended up doing some reading into Magic Johnson and he became his hero. It really is amazing how far he has come and how long he has lived and the immense quality his life has had and the impact is made on so many people.
I think it's really cool that HIV is no longer a death sentence. Obviously it's not ideal and I would be wrecked if it happened to me...I was addicted to dr*gs for years and didn't have se× or share rigs but I still feared it. @@Ajlog_ in the USA there is a specific tax form that is given when you are recipient of winning $600+ from a competition. It really just depends on how much you actually win and what you win on the gameshow. Most gameshows will give away all expense paid trips but you will still have to pay the taxes and such. This can be quite a hassle from what I understand because some of them are not flexible on trip. From them having already paid for the trip or sponsors that will only allow them book flights and travel with certain companies. I remember reading a story of a guy who won $15000 and 2 trips on wheel of fortune and he ended up walking away from it with both trips and only $6000 due to the taxes of the winning and the trips. Regardless he still made it on top. It isn't like he paid for any of it just has to be frustrating winning $15000 and only taking $6000 of it if you want to still go on the trips. (I'm unsure what would of happened if he said no to trips if they would of given him more money instead)
